The home was spotlessly clean, very spacious, and incredibly comfortable. It had everything needed, especially in the fully equipped kitchen, which made cooking so easy and convenient. The overall setup of the house was thoughtful and cozy, making it feel like a true home away from home. On top of that, the scenery from the house was absolutely beautiful—peaceful, relaxing, and the perfect backdrop for a getaway. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and well-equipped stay. Thank you for such a lovely experience!

We stayed for a couple of days up the hill at Dilrukshi’s place. She had a kind family and we had the most amazing breakfast with her mum a couple of times. The room are nice and the beds are good. The hill is walking distance from the viewpoint but it still feels very serene, since it is at the very top of the hill. Dilrukshi is very good with kids too, our youngest one fell in love I think.

We loved staying so close to nature! We spend almost two weeks here. It’s situated right on the edge of the Udawatta sanctuary, so monkeys visited us quite a few times which was nice to see! It’s not far from the city but when we went food shopping we took the tuktuk back and it cost us around 200 LKR. So if you want something private, calm but also walkable to the centre, this is it. Just mind that it’s close to the forrest and not much light goes in through the trees. But on the other hand the temperature in the apartment was nice due to the location. There’s no need for AC but there’s a fan if you need it. The kitchen has some amenities like rice cooker and smoothie maker. But it could maybe use a bit more cutlery like a new wooden spoon, but things like pan and pots were really good. The WiFi was perfect, no problem with that.

Jayathissa's place was big and spacious ands we felt comfortable and at home. The facilities were great and the air-conditioning and fans were especially welcome. It is a short tuktuk ride to the town and restaurants and you can also walk asking the canal and even swim there. Jayathissa was very friendly and helpful and even shared his breakfast with us. His coconut crafts are also very beautiful and we bought some as souvenirs.

The Enchanted Villa is one of the most stunning Airbnb’s I’ve ever stayed in. It’s a beautifully architected and tastefully decorated house in the middle of the tropical forest where you can sip an ice tea lounging in a hammock, listening to the sounds of the jungle. Aroshi is a wonderful host who will welcome you with a cold drink and cook for you delicious local cuisine. The villa is about twenty-minute ride from Kandy but tuk tuks make it easy and affordable to get in and out. Just don’t expect to pop into the shops or for a drink at moments notice. However Aroshi will make sure you have everything you would ever need. Would come here to write my novel. Or finish reading one.

We had an incredible stay at Dhanushka's place near Lion Rock. The location is perfect, with stunning views of the jungle and Lion Rock from the terrace—a truly magical experience. Dhanushka welcomed us with a refreshing drink upon arrival, which was a lovely touch after our journey. Throughout our stay, he was extremely kind and helpful, going out of his way to assist us in planning activities and exploring Sigiriya. The breakfast he prepared for our group of five was fantastic—delicious, fresh, and more than enough to fuel us for the day ahead. The house is clean, comfortable, and ideally located for anyone visiting Lion Rock or the surrounding area. Dhanushka's hospitality truly made our trip special. Highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Sigiriya. Thank you, Dhanushka, for making our trip unforgettable! 😊

This property is a beautiful home with four large bedrooms and bathrooms and very comfortable common areas. The property manager is incredibly helpful, friendly, generous, and accommodating and he is a wonderful chef. He made us a delicious platter of grilled vegetables and roti in response to our request for a light dinner. For breakfast he made more roti, crepes, toast, omelette, fresh fruit, juice and coffee. All of it was amazing. The house is up a steep hill, but well worth the climb!
