Meredith’s place has everything you need for your stay. The location is excellent, the view is pretty and there are lovely sunsets. Duck has a boardwalk where you can walk along by the Sound and plenty of interesting shops. All the restaurants we tried close by were good. We didn’t use all the amenities as we visited out of season but there’s a lot for just about anyone to enjoy during their stay. The only downside to our stay - and not Meredith’s fault - was an unusual giant cloud of midges which settled outside the house so we had to run the gauntlet through them! They don’t bite or anything, just annoying and we heard from locals it was an unusually large number. Hopefully they’ll be gone for the next visitors! If asked, we would definitely recommend Meredith’s home. It’s a really lovely place.

Beautifully built and thoughtfully laid out place in a private, peaceful location a short drive from the beach. Absolutely spotless throughout — not a grain of sand on the floor. Place feels bigger than it is thanks to good design. Helpful things like beach towels and gear provided by the host. Pretty much the only sounds outside were birds and frogs. Responsive and helpful hosts. Probably the best AirBnB I’ve ever stayed in. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful home for creating family memories. Home was beautiful, bright, and full of thoughtful touches that made it so comfortable - kitchen stocked with everything needed to make family meals, including space for everyone to prepare and cook together; warm, fuzzy blankets to curl up on couch or in bed; porch and backyard firepits; deck areas with rocking chairs. Great location - walk to beach, grocery store, restaurants. Hosts have done an amazing job creating the perfect family vacation home.

This was a fantastic house for our family (six teenagers ~ three boys, three girls). There were bedrooms and beds such that almost everyone had their own bed. (two girls had to share a king which was perfectly fine). The kitchen was well stocked, there were ample paper goods (paper towels, tissues, toilet paper) and coffee pods to get you started. Each bathroom had a hair dryer and Tresemme shampoo/conditioner along with Dove body wash so you could pack at little lighter. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of room at the table/on the couch for all 8 of us (often when we rent houses the table/couches don't seat all of us at once). The house was very close to Wright Brothers Memorial, Jockey's Ridge, good restaurants, ice cream and grocery stores. We've stayed at the OBX five times in the last 5 years and this spot was the most convenient and comfortable. If it had a pool table it would be impossible to beat.

This place was amazing! You could see the ocean from the deck which was one of the best parts! It is very close to everything and located in a perfect spot. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed! We are definitely going to be staying here next time we come back!

Enjoyed our stay. Loved that we could utilize the community pool since the beach had red flags during our entire stay. The beach access private parking was also a plus. Hot tub was a great way to end the day. Lots of space for family meals at the dinning room table.

Everything was wonderful! We visit OBX every year and this may have been the greatest place yet. Beautiful beach, quiet surroundings, wonderful hot tub, everything we needed and more than we expected! Danielle was a great host. We and our kids (dogs) loved sitting on the porch and deck watching the pelicans, gulls, cormorants and dolphins. Absolutely a wonderful time. We highly recommend Danielle and the Castle. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing view of the water and sunset from the deck and living room. The neighbors welcomed us and told us where to eat dinner, at the Colington Cafe nearby. Quiet upscale neighborhood felt very safe. Less than ten minutes from the Wright Brother’s Monument and Museum.

We had a wonderful stay with our family and dogs at Allison’s place! It was so clean, especially for being dog friendly. We decided to drive to the beach and it was less than 2 minutes away. We enjoyed being able to walk our dogs around the neighborhood on the sound side. Can’t wait to come back and stay!
