Vacation rentals with a patio in McDowell County

5 Stars — A Perfect Stay! Allison and Cory were incredible hosts! From the moment I arrived, everything was seamless—check-in was a breeze, the space was spotless, and every little detail felt thoughtfully curated. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests’ experience. The home was cozy, stylish, and had all the comforts you’d hope for (plus a few extra touches that made it feel special). Communication was quick and friendly, and they made sure I felt welcome the entire time. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again—highly recommend!

Blin's place was spotless, comfortable and the view was stunning - Fall leaves were in full color while we were there. The bathrooms were spacious and clean - the water was hot with good pressure. The king bed in the master was supportive and comfortable. I heard no complaints about the bunk room beds the kids used. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, bowls and cooking utensils. All appliances worked well. It was muddy while we were there so we rolled up the light colored rugs so we didn't accidentally stain them. We had our dog with us and there was plenty of area for him to run and the streets were quiet for a walk along the road. There are steps all the way to the water which will be amazing for lake access in the summer. As it was cold while we were there and the lake was still recovering from Hurrican Helene, we did not get in the water. All in all it was a great place to stay.

Cute condo near downtown Marion. Easily walkable to coffee shops and restaurants. The space was clean and much larger than the photos. Our family of 5 fit well.

Such a great space for one or two people looking for an affordable space near Black Mountain. The accommodations were pristine and the hot tub was a great amenity. Easy to find, just two miles from downtown Black Mountain.

High quality, 100% cotton linens which are hard to find. I’ve grown accustomed to carry my own when I travel now and I didn’t have to change the sheets upon arrival! Cosy and lovely location. We didn’t walk to DT Burnsville because it was so cold, but lots of locals walking dogs etc. I’m in love with Burnsville NC and will be returning regularly. This place feels like home.

Romer & Carolina are amazing hosts! Very responsive and helpful! The place was prefect for me. Its so beautiful around there. Love it! Thank y’all for being great hosts and letting me stay in your cute little apartment. Will definitely recommend them and will stay anytime I’m in Spruce Pine.

Such a beautiful home and a wonderful place for a family weekend retreat to Lake Jackson State Park and participate in the Fonta Flora 50K. The home is so cozy, and enjoyable. Space to gather together and also retreat away to relax and read a book or nap. The deck and dock space are amazing!!! Hosts were so friendly and welcoming. We are already planning our next visit to their home.

Good: Thoughtful and considerate about small details people might need when they are traveling, ex- first-aid kit, female hygiene etc. Neat and clean place. Extra spares like blankets and other stuff. The place is peaceful, close to nature. Things to consider: The other bedroom doesn’t have an isolation between bath and bedroom. It would have been good to have blackout curtains near the entrance door. And actual door or some form of partition there.

He was a great host, responded quickly, and made sure we had a great stay.

We had a wonderful New Year's holiday in this house. I think it will be even better in the summer.

Very cute condo in a peaceful mountain community. Comfy bed, and coffee and snacks available in the kitchen. Might be hard to find in the dark due to how remote it is. I recommend getting groceries when passing through Burnsville because there aren't any stores nearby.

Perfect Mountain Escape! The Foxie Moxie was exactly what we needed for a relaxing trip to the mountains. It was perfect for our family of three and our Aussiedoodle. My husband and son had a blast with the basketball hoop, while I enjoyed some peaceful time in the hot tub and hammock. We were aware of potential road issues due to Helene, and while the road to and from Black Mountain is definitely not for the faint of heart, it was passable—just be aware there are a couple of one-lane sections. The neighbors were wonderful and even tipped us off to a hidden gem: a 10-foot waterfall about a mile up the creek from the property. It was absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a secluded mountain stream retreat with all the right touches of relaxation and adventure!

My partner and I stayed as our first little family getaway with our 1 year old. The three of us loved the cabin and the seclusion. The yard was hillier than I thought and the second bedroom didn’t have a door but we had zero complaints. Highly recommend.

My stay here was amazing! Emily and Tommy were able to accommodate an early check in which was so helpful! Not only that, they were both very sweet and welcoming! Made you feel right at home, and also were super helpful with any questions I had. ☺️ The pool was beautiful and so much fun! The floats, toys, and games they provide were so fun to use! Also honorable mention ! the KITTY! The kitty might have been my favorite thing about the stay 😉 ! The inside was decorated so beautifully (i’m taking inspo so I can decorate for my apartment!) so cozy and relaxing! The fire pit was amazing! I would love to stay here again. ☺️ thank you so much Tommy & Emily! Also check in and check out were super easy.
