Cottage vacation rentals in McKenzie River

This was such an amazing find for us to spend a night at on the way back from a holiday trip. This place was immaculate and I truly wish we could've spent more time there! Aside from the ease of location, impeccable decor, and beautiful surroundings - they also have an extremely friendly and lovable cat and dog (Charlie and Oliver) that roams the property and added to the charm and friendliness we already experienced upon arrival. Hands down a 10/10, and we will be visiting again!

Emily's cozy cabin is marvelous - the kitchen was clean and well-stocked, the décor was calming and thoughtfully created, the hot tub and deck along the McKenzie River were soothing, and Emily's response to any questions was immediate and friendly. Her cabin is a short drive the the Blue Pool and Sahalie Falls hiking trails, and within walking distance to local restaurants and coffee shops. It was a perfect getaway for my daughter and I, and we will definitely stay there again.

This home was in an amazing location, right on the river, very private, right next to Belknap Hot Springs lodge. The private wooden hot spring fed tub was delightful. The home is geothermally heated which is quite interesting, and it was cozy and warm inside, we didn’t need to adjust the thermostat or use the wood stove. The home is tastefully decorated and we loved all the natural light and windows. The deck space looked great but it was raining so we didn’t spend a lot of time outside, but we loved opening the door on the river side to hear the river and appreciate the view. The king bed in the loft is so comfortable, and the home overall was very inviting. We didn’t use the downstairs room but it looked very nice (had king bed, large TV, small refrigerator, etc.), I would definitely recommend this home if you want a getaway in the woods near hot springs.

Stayed here while passing through to Washington State. Definitely wish we could have stayed more than one night! Very peaceful, well-maintained property. Would be a great retreat to relax and read with friends or family. I would stay here again!

This little cabin was amazing! I loved the back deck/ porch and the chairs on the lawn that overlooked the gorgeous river that ran behind the house. As a woman who travels solo a lot my number one priority while looking for a place to stay is ‘how safe do I feel here’, and I felt very safe at this cabin. I’d you’re outdoorsy like me you’ll love that the cabin is an easy 30-60 minute drive to some pretty incredible waterfalls and hiking trails, which was the main reason why I came to the area, but after a day of hiking and exploring, this cabin was a great and quiet place to come back to relax. If you’re in the Cottage Grove/ Dorena area I would highly recommend staying here instead of a hotel, the nights were so quiet and the stars were amazing! I hope to go back to the area sometime in the future and when I do I hope this little cabin is available!

our 5th stay in this home and we love it. lots of room for everyone and river view is amazing. Hwy traffic kind of much but once inside we enjoy everytime. Thanks for sharing this great space.

The vintage cabin was peaceful and quiet, and well equipped with anything we might have needed. It was a great size for our little family (two adults, one kiddo) and we had a wonderful visit. The bathroom is very nice and upgraded and the bear decor was very cute. Also, our car battery died when we were trying to head out, and the property owners were more than willing to help us get back on the road--they were so kind. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Beautifully appointed and cozy home! Better suited for a group of 3-4 people (our group of 6 was a bit cramped), but lovely and close to Hayward Field.

We loved our stay! We will definitely be back and will book again with Julie. This location is absolutely beautiful, we grilled outside, sat by the river, my niece's daughter ran all over the yard playing when they came to visit us. We hiked the local trails and found some amazing watering holes to swim in. All the locals around town were so welcoming even telling us about Salmon Creek Falls which had the best water fall and swimming area we found by far. Julie's place exceeded our expectations and loved every minute of our time here at her Airbnb. We are definitely coming back, she might get tired of us. 😉 💚🌲

Looks like pictures! Spacious family room, wonderful windows all around. Very well stocked with linens and kitchen items. Lisa was fantastic and very responsive to all of my questions.

Kitchen has everything you need . Doris made sure we have a welvome beverage . There was also coffee for us to nake sure we have brewed coffee in the morning . We were always out by 7 am and back after dinner . We will definitely choose Doris’s cottage again when we return to Eugene . It was a 5 minute drive from our girls team hotel and 5-15 minutes drive to other venues . Doris always reached out to us if we needed anything or if we are comfortable. Great host 👍

The owner of the place we rented lives on site in her home. We are always kind of weary about people that live on the location of the rental. They can be intrusive at times or make their presence very well known to the renters. Marcia did nothing of the sort. She greeted us when we arrived & showed us the lay of the house/land. After that initial meet & greet we didn’t see her again. The rental was completely perfect! She borrowed inspiration from her Mother’s Japanese heritage so everything was very zen, calming & comfortable. The only issue that I had was due to the nature of why we were out there. My sister-in-law had major surgery & has 2 kids. One has special needs & requires a lot of care. I stayed overnight with the kids while their parents were at the hospital (my husband did stay overnight at the rental) so I only had the opportunity of staying overnight once. If you are looking for a rental that is serene, quiet, relaxing, peaceful & away from people this is your place.😁

Joe and Dana were excellent hosts. They were very responsive and helpful in providing recommendations and suggestions. We were there for the Eugene Marathon and they were very thoughtful in acknowledging that. The home itself is set in a beautiful garden like setting - many rhododendrons and other type of flora, tranquil, peaceful, and scenic. It is next to Hendricks Park (Eugene’s oldest park, and with hiking trails) and the rhododendron garden (about a 2 minute walk) - must see! It’s also an easy 20 minute walk to the University of Oregon. Would definitely go back!

This was our second visit to the cottage and we absolutely love it. It’s a beautiful, out of the way spot and very private. The cottage is not large but uses space so well. And it has one of the best equipped kitchens I’ve seen in an air bnb. It’s also absolutely spotless! We hope to be back the next time we are in town to see family!

This space was fabulous! Each room felt bigger because of the super high vaulted ceilings, and we had everything we needed for the weekend stay. It was immaculate, had water bottles and coffee fixings, and even a bowl of fresh fruit. The quaint yard area was super cute and private and in the spring would beckon you to have coffee outside. The owners were extremely responsive and helpful. We 100% recommend.
