Farmstay vacation rentals in Medellin

If you are looking for an out of the way escape from the city and a real country or “finca” experience, this is your place. However, I would recommend driving or renting an SUV with decent ground clearance. The place is very easy to find with Waze GPS or Google Maps by searching “Hato the Farm”. No four wheel drive needed, but the dirt road to the place has spots where a low car will definitely scrap bottom if you’re not careful. The dirt road is maintained and used by the municipality and locals, so it’s not impassible. We rented a car at the airport to get there, and everything went well, but if you’re not used to dirt roads and winding roads, this will be a learning experience! :-) The place itself was an open floor plan with plenty of space to sleep 12+ people. Everything was clean and well maintained and the local caretaker (Sonia) was extremely sweet and helpful for all our needs. If you’re lucky and nice enough :-) , she can point you to local spots for swimming and hiking that are off the beaten path and empty of people, but full of amazing views, cold mountain water for swimming, and a true Colombian countryside experience that was enjoyable and as safe as any place I’ve visited. The local tienda (general store) will deliver without cost of delivery for whatever food and drink you need, although tipping the delivery boy is a good idea. The property had many different varieties of fruit trees, which we were invited to pick for super and delicious fresh orange juice in the morning or whatever else you can pick. Overall, staying in Manuel’s place was an amazing and relaxing experience and we will return and rent the place again! Although, we’ll make sure to get a vehicle with higher ground clearance for the road up.

It is a nice stay near the municipality of Carmen de Viboral, and easy access. The stay is a camping type and a very nice construction in guadua. As the description says, it has stairs that can be limited to people with limited mobility and very young children. We traveled with a child and it was just being very attentive. The place has a stables, where you can see beautiful horses, just keep in mind that as it is normal, the care and work of them starts early and you can hear some noise. Thank you very much to Angelika for her kindness, and for that very special stay.

We were pleasantly surprised with the place and the facilities, it is really much better than what you can see in the photos , everything was organized and clean , the pool spectacular , everything in the house looks like new and the people in charge of welcoming us Omar and Yaneth were very nice people and they had the place impeccable. Viviana and her husband are very friendly. They were very attentive. The place is divine and the view is unparalleled. Super quiet and spacious. In the morning you hear the birds and the direct view is towards the mountain. The place is 15 minutes from Barbosa because the track is one lane. This is 99% paved, the remaining 1% is if just one block and small vehicle enters. The accommodation has all the amenities. We had a great time! Thank you very much

Spectacular, just like posting. The internet works perfect. Gloria was always very caring to help us with everything, giving us advice and making the stay very pleasant. Everything is available, we use kitchen, car, laundry and horses. Horses are beautiful, and walking in them is an experience of not getting lost. The partners in the house were very nice and helpful. Definitely to go back to family or friends.

The best of the best! My wife and I chose this place to get married and the choice couldn't have been better. The estate is better than the pictures show. The hosts and their butlers are very kind, attentive and helpful. The place was immaculately clean. It was a wonderful experience.

Hosting in Andres' space has been one of the best experiences I've had since using this platform. The house is beautiful, it has many amenities, it is super well equipped, it is surrounded by nature, the atmosphere is quiet and very cozy. Andrés was very attentive and kind, responded to our concerns in a timely manner and provided support with the ignition of the fireplace and campfire. I would be happy to return to this place as many times as possible. Thank you very much for hosting us.

Excellent place to rest, share with family and friends, the place is very nice and is very well equipped with everything you need for a pleasant experience, very large and green spaces for children to run and play until they get tired, the people who take care of the place are very cordial and helped us with the things we needed, the owners of the place also came to greet us and they are very nice people, I would definitely come back to this place and I recommend it 100%

Everything was Amazing of the Property. Very Peaceful and Quite. My only complaint is the 3 minute dirt road to the property that it is much better with a 4X4 than a regular car like we had. I recommend taking a 4x4 small to big SUV so you dont get stuck in the mud, especially if it rains like what happened to us.

The Jardinero's cabin is very good. Everything is very well organized and ready to have fun. Nothing is missing or left in the house. We were visiting the villages of the East Antioque, so we were only arriving in the evenings and going out in the mornings, and for this plan it was perfect. But for sure a stay would be enjoyed longer onsite. Everything seemed comfortable and arranged with a lot of care and detail. We will recommend the site!!! Elisa always pending. Thank you!

Jose's home was fantastic. The home itself is beautiful, but it's the location, views, and surrounding nature that make it truly special. I highly recommend it.

I could sum up our experience as ¡Maravillosa! The estate is beautiful, quiet, very clean, comfortable and tidy. Our entire stay was filled with unforgettable moments and we enjoyed them from start to finish. Our children were safe and happy in the contact with nature, the landscape, the pets, the corral animals, the playground and the paths to tour the countryside. The location is close to access roads, shops, restaurants and fun. The host team is friendly, respectful, and very attentive to respond quickly to any requests. We were attended and guided from the beginning of the reservation, which I value and thank you very much. We would definitely come back many times to this adorable place. Thank you very much!!

Our stay was absolutely fantastic! The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The host was incredibly responsive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. The location was perfect, and we truly felt at home. The staff on the property was extremely nice and tentative. They were at our service when needed but was never invading out privacy. We will absolutely be staying here again—10/10 highly recommend!

Maribel is super dear, it made us feel like we were at a family member's house. He was attentive to us the whole time, he got us the numbers of nearby homes and contacts for us to wash horses to walk the kids, he accommodated a toy room for my son with details to draw, and he left us the cotillion to celebrate the new year. The estate is ideal for spending a few quiet days with family, it is a very nice place.
