An ‘upside-down’ cottage, Yan’s barn, formerly a stable, is a cosy retreat for two. A snug double bedroom downstairs opens onto the enclosed outdoor decked area, complete with table & chairs. The well-equipped kitchen has high ceilings & exposed beams, as well as a table with seating for four people. The utility area, with washing machine and dryer, leads onto the shower room. It's a great base for walking, cycling, touring, shopping, eating and drinking ...and curling up in front of the log fire. Sidbury village is a 20 min walk away. And Sidmouth, on the Jurassic Coast, is just a 4 mile drive. A few days at Filcombe will leave you relaxed, refreshed and keen to come back!

This small two bedroomed cottage was built in 1800 when the Mill opposite was fully working. It is in a remote, quiet and secluded part of Mid Devon within an hour of both the North or South coasts of Devon. It is accessible down narrow single track country lanes. The nearest shops are in the town of Tiverton, five miles away. The broadband has been upgraded to Ultrafast fibre to the premises with speeds of at least 450mbps. However, there is no mobile phone signal in the valley.
