Michele and Phil’s “The Villa Goshen” was a perfect location and provided all the amenities and space our family needed for our visit. The first night, a storm came through; a tornado warning was issued, sirens rang, and lightening hit right next to the house. Michele communicated during the whole event to make sure all of us were aware and stayed safe. Michele and Phil make this home both comforting and welcoming to their guests.

LOVED it! Was there on a business trip in late winter, and wished it was for pleasure, and in a warmer month, so I could enjoy the lake it sits on, and get to relax while there. However, I was overwhelmed with prep for television and radio appearances and a live cooking show, so I only had the pleasure of using the AWESOME soaking tub to de-stress from super long hectic days, sleeping very well in oh-so-comfy bedding, and tossing together breakfast in a charming kitchen stocked with basics, as well as a well-stocked coffee bar. I thought the fresh creamer in the fridge was a nice touch, and I loved sitting at the kitchen table enjoying my coffee and the beautiful lake view. I hope to return some day -under less stressful circumstances- so I can get to enjoy all its outdoor amenities in warmer weather, too. I also want to mention that I felt very safe staying there alone (owners live next door) and the place is so cozy I felt like I was at home throughout my entire 3-day stay.

I think the hosts were friendly and responsive. The location and amenities were perfect for our stay with two dogs. The cleaning was adequate but could have been better. Lawn service came as we were cleaning up after ourselves, which caused us to rush out so our dogs wouldn't be an issue for them. We wished they would come after our checkout so as not to bother our dogs. Overall, the stay was the easiest and most relaxing yet in Niles. We would stay there again.

This is the second time we stayed at Serenity Cottage, Lake Of The Woods It is an ideal location for us because we have family in Bremen, Bourbon, and Plymouth. The setting is beautiful. We love the big open family area. The kitchen is lovely and we usually cook most of our meals so it is stocked well enough to do this. The owner lives next-door and checked in to make sure everything was OK. We will definitely stay here again.

2nd time staying. Very quiet location. Really love the living room space. Very comfortable.

My family has been here before and it was during the summer and we loved it sooo much that we came back but this time it’s during spring, we definitely prefer going during the summer but we love this place so much!!! My kids love it ❤️ we loved using the grill and the paddle boats. Would definitely suggest it for families!

This was our third year staying at Chris’s cottage. The cottage was spotless as always, equipped with snacks, water, plenty of towels and amenities. The cottage is on Fish Lake, beautiful and peaceful but also fun to watch all of the water activities and wildlife. The weather was perfect. The mark of a fantastic place and location is never having to turn on the TV to pass the time. We will be back next year if it’s available! Thank you, Chris!

Our family of 5 had a great stay at Gary’s place. The lake, the pontoon, paddle boards and pedal boat were used daily. It is private and quiet. There are plenty of life vests and even some large inner tubes you can take out on the water. The floating dock and lily pad were covered in goose poop while we were there so we didn’t use them. The house was comfortable and had more amenities than most air BNBs we’ve stayed at. Our favorite spot (besides being on the water) was drinking coffee and reading on the covered porch! Would recommend to families!!

The location can’t be beat when visiting Shipshewanna. You will be able to walk to everything. The home is lovely and quaint. With bedrooms on all 3 floors, it can be very private for a large group. We loved the use of the golf cart and the fire table out back was also lovely. We had a couple issues, and Joanna was quick to respond. We had a fabulous stay and would highly recommend.
