“I'll echo everyone else's reviews here: Joe and his family are great hosts and made us feel very welcome this weekend. The studio is perfect for 2, with a comfortable bed, good shower, lots of modern touches and a lovely balcony overlooking the garden and the lake beyond. My husband and I were looking for an opportunity to switch off from city life, and Joe's place certainly delivered. Every time we grilled food, Joe appeared with an offer of vegetables from his wife's garden, and he offered us to ride on his jetski and pontoon boat. We really enjoyed using the kayaks too. The lake is quite shallow (I understand not much more than 6ft?) which meant that even though the temperature was in the low 70s the lake water was still plenty warm enough to relax in. The lake also has lots of little islands and places to explore so it's a great place to go kayaking. We enjoyed hearing the loons and had our eyes open for the eagles that make the lake their home - no luck this time but we will be back!”
A lovely lake-front cottage with a private beach on quaint Sunrise Lake! The house has a great view overlooking the water. Enjoy a beautiful morning view of the sun rising onto the lake with a cup of coffee or tea, grilling a tasty dinner on the deck, and toasting marshmallows in the fire pit for dessert. We also provide a double kayak so you can explore the mile-long lake from the easy launch point in front of the house.
“This place could not of been more perfect! A quiet lake, awesome fire pit, a place for my kids to play safely off the lake bank. Comfortable beds, fresh linens, leftover condiments in the fridge in case we forgot something as well as in the pantry....This was a very special family trip with my aging parents & small kids, it could not have been a more perfect Lakehouse for us! Beyond what we had hoped!”

“A beautiful cute farmhouse with lots of room. My aunts, my mom, my daughter and I all stayed there very comfortably. The stairs are a bit steep but very do able. Highly recommend if you are staying in this area. It was close enough to our family that we found it super convenient and relaxing.”
