Victorian Haven is located near the Shawangunk Mountains that extends for over 20 miles and reaches 2,200 feet in height at Sam's point, the highest elevation on the ridge. In addition, the Wallkill River provides unspoiled and picturesque spots for hiking, fishing and/or picnics. Gardiner has a beautiful rail trail that follows the path of the 1860's railroad and provides a great opportunity to hike, bike or ski.
“Victorian Haven - quiet, cozy, and quaint! Such an adorable hidden gem in a small community. Had everything needed from morning coffee to dinner making! The small intimate touches like the selection of coffee with multiple options for creamer and added notes and information about the place and local areas of interest made it stand out! The wildlife was amazing - seeing 50+ deer just hanging out and the many birds on/near the river. Perfect place to stay while seeing a concert and just wanting to get away for the weekend. Definitely recommend for a couple trying to unwind and relax!”
A bright and cozy private apartment on a quiet street 1 mile from the center of New Paltz and the Thruway exit.
“This place was the perfect getaway from the city. My toddler, dog and my wife and I loved playing in the massive back yard. After a day of playing, we had a little fire in the outdoor pot belly stove, some star gazing in lounge chairs, followed by a great sleep in the super comfy bed. The whole place was super clean (and that is my wife's strictest criteria by which she judges a place). They supplied thoughtful extras, like snacks and extra bedding. Communication was fantastic. I can not fault this place. We loved it!”
Starting June 2nd, we're exploring longer stay bookings. As we navigate the next two months, please be aware that any bookings for June and July may be subject to change. The house now has wifi. Michelle and I's house shares 5-acres with the tiny house, so it's a beautiful and secluded setting. Nearby: Minnewaska State Park, Mohonk Preserve, & Rail Trails. We wish everyone safety and love during these times. Reach out for pricing and to explore long term options.
“We loved our time at Chris and Michelle's place. We stayed long term and were so happy that we did. Chris and Michelle are super friendly, highly communicative, and make great neighbors. The tiny house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and the location could not be better. We were close to town, but also to amazing walking trails and hikes. We also felt that we were able to reduce our carbon footprint during the stay in the tiny house by saving water through the use of the compostable toilet. It was the perfect place to spend Earth Month! The only thing we didn't like was having to leave. We wish we could have stayed through the summer.”
