Cottage vacation rentals in Moerewa

River Cottage was such a gem! The surroundings were like a jungle, the grounds were beautiful and there was fun activities like board games and kayaks. We were even able to borrow a fishing pole and caught a fish! I enjoyed walking around the farm property and river area. My favorite part was access to a lookout tower off the deck. I made my latte each morning and climbed up there to enjoy it while watching and listening to all the birds. Book this place, it's magical!

Our time at the Shearer’s cottage was absolutely magical. My husband and I stayed with our three children for three nights. We were all utterly delighted when we walked in the door - lots of excited gasps from everyone - the surroundings are gorgeous, the property is thoughtfully appointed and spotlessly clean… far enough from the madding crowd to feel peaceful and secluded, yet still a very convenient drive to Kerikeri and the Bay of Islands. Ian and Anna were very friendly and communicative and made us feel totally welcome. Allow time to make the most of this beautiful place. The dawn chorus is glorious! Make sure you opt in for the spa by the river. We really hope we can visit again. Thank you so much Ian and Anna.

Bruce is certainly a "host with the most!" Not just a cute little cabin, but a home away from home. Loved having access to a spa and a stones throw away to the beach. His koha (gift) of his book "The Sneezle Beezle" was a perfect touch to our holiday creating memories for us and our stay. We will definitely book again. Kia Ora Bruce!

We had a great stay at Jo’s amazing little cottage. View was to die for! And just a short walk down the pathway and steps to the beach. Place was clean and everything as described with a well equiped kitchen. Was great to have the heat pump too as it is now starting to get a bit chilly in the mornings. Fantastic views and space for the price! This is perfect for all types of occasions with a group of family or friends. The host was responsive and we were given clear instructions on everything regarding to the house, check in, directions, recycling, etc! Highly recommended!

We didn’t want to leave! Your warm welcome on our arrival, accompanied by a gorgeous handwritten note, warm sourdough bread, fresh milk and freshly baked walnut chocolate chip biscuits, perfectly epitomised our stay at Cowshed Cottage! We loved the well-thought-out decor, the delightful linens on the comfy bed, and all the welcoming nooks that begged us to enjoy them with a hot drink and a good book in such a peaceful setting. The Cowshed Cottage, and you both, are the blissful warm hug that had us breathing deeply and releasing any stress we didn’t know we needed. One night was not enough! With a longer stay, we might just feel inclined to try out the spectacular gym, although I think cosying down with a glass of something delicious and another book might win out. We can’t wait to return and we will definitely be staying longer next time. Thank you both again for everything.

Jeremy & Andrea were helpful and friendly. We had a fantastic stay! The place was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The location was ideal, just a short walk to the beach, which was perfect for morning and evening walk One of the highlights was definitely the wood-fired pizza oven. It was such a fun we really enjoyed making pizzas and spending the evening outdoors

We have immensely enjoyed our stay here. There is plenty of room for the kids to play and of course a beautiful beach very close to the bach. A lovely place to enjoy the outdoors and spend time together. Also a good location to explore the Far North and come back to a tranquil place at the end of the day.

Chris gave us a great welcome with a bottle of wine on arrival. She was very accommodating and let our kids feed the alpacas which was a great experience for them. Tidy house, very short drive to 2 great beaches.

Josie's Bach was perfect for our little family getaway. The drums and other games provided hours of entertainment for our daughter. The highlights were being so close to the beach and the night sky. We were lucky to get a clear night and we huddled outside, pointing out constellations to our 11 year old. The Bach was also very warm, despite it being very late into Autumn. Josie also provided things for breakfast and baking. The brownie was so yummy! Thank you again !!!!

If it were possible we'd give this place 10 stars! You won't regret staying here, at your own private slice of Taupo Bay paradise. Whether you're just a couple or with a big group of friends, Gary and Debbie's place is perfect for you. Brilliant communication from area experts. We hope to be back soon 😊

Sally and Kev are friendly hosts with a gorgeous spot right by the water. Plenty of room for our family of four, two bedrooms inside the cottage and a well appointed sleep-out. Amenities to meet all needs when staying away from home. Would fully recommend!

We loved staying here, exactly what we needed, they even led our tamariki down to the creek to see the tuna! The house had everything and was absolutely sparkling. Great kitchen to cook in, and a generous friendly host.

We stayed 10 days at The Miner’s Cottage and honestly, I could have stayed forever. The cottage was an absolute gem - quaint, comfortable, quiet and private and best of all, within walking distance of a fabulous beach and ice cream shop! There is so much to do in the Far North and this cottage is a lovely place to base yourself in while exploring all the attractions this part of the country has to offer. Bachman was always responsive with any questions we had. I cannot recommend this cottage highly enough and would definitely stay again.

Perfect stay. We were a couple with a 5 year old child. The cottage is perfectly equipped in all areas:bedding, kitchen utensil, dishes, bathroom, laundry detergent, there are even a few toys; everything is there. The environment is pleasant with a lovely garden . I would highly recommend the cottage. Thanks

We had the pleasure of staying at John and Cornine's place after an unexpected event at our previous accommodation. It was during the Easter public holiday, and we were traveling with our dog, so we honestly didn’t think we’d be able to find anywhere suitable last minute. To our surprise and gratitude, John and Cornine kindly made an exception to their no-pets policy and welcomed us in, allowing our holiday to continue stress-free. Their home is sunny, peaceful, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It’s also just a couple of minutes' drive to the beach. John and Cornine were exceptional hosts—warm, communicative, and incredibly responsive. When we experienced a sudden power blowout, they immediately came over with a torch and water box, which was such a relief. They also shared fantastic recommendations for local eateries and things to do, which really enhanced our stay. We’re so grateful for their kindness and hospitality.
