Romantic getaway with the wife & our little fur-baby. Great location for the beautiful little rainforest township of Kuranda. Plenty to do, Barron falls, scenic railway, skyrail, lots of attractions! About 30mins drive to Cairns cbd, just down the mountain (about 15mins drive) for Smithfield shopping. Definitely suit a vehicle & hopefully 4WD to ascend the driveway which was fun every time! Converted shed in a rainforest with everything you may need. Wife thought the bed could be more soft & also shower could do with a curtain or something (as it wet the whole bathroom every shower) but I didn’t mind after a day.. Great trip, would stay again! Our fur-baby said woof-woof 🐶

We throughly enjoyed our time at David’s AirBnB . Great location, walking distance to everything. Very peaceful apartments, Would definitely stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Kuranda! The suite was cosy, matched the listing and had everything you’d need for a visit. Noreen was a lovely host, very helpful, kind and always just a message away. You can walk from the suite to the village but having a car will make it easier. The neighbourhood is nice and relaxing, I already miss waking up to the view and reading a book on the porch. Highly recommended!

Pros: - The apartment was very clean and tidy, and very spacious, just as shown in the pictures. - The kitchen was very well equipped. - Fabian, the host, was very friendly, and communication was excellent. - The shared area with the pool was nice. The pool was a bit cold, though.. probably because it's mostly in the shade. Some downsides: - It was overall rather dark due to many trees right in front of the windows and the balcony. I always had to keep the lights on, even during the daytime. On the other hand, this kept the apartment cool. - The internet is just a mobile connection and not very stable. The speed was quite low, even simple video streaming lagged every now and then. - The ceiling fans emitted a high-pitched noise, so I didn’t use them at all. - Although well equipped and spacious, it was still rather expensive. No long-term stay discount was offered. Besides these minor issues, I was overall satisfied staying at this place for about two weeks.
