Newly remodeled, 110 yr old farm house and cattle ranch on 125 acres of Ozark fields and forest off historic Route 66 Highway. We welcome those who can stay just one night or those who want to stay longer. Hike in our woods, view wildlife, enjoy a bonfire, or just sit on the porch and relax! We have an Activity Barn with all sorts of outdoor gear/toys. The house has a fully equipped kitchen and we are close to the historic town of Carthage where there are several great restaurants.
“Prepare to have all your stress melt away when you settle into the Old Missouri Farmhouse. So restful and peaceful and quiet! Fun activities if you want to be outside and the perfect relaxing available inside. Theresa and Harlan have outfitted their place with class touches and they’re quick to communicate. Don’t forget to meet the goats before you check out! Thanks for everything! It was 5 star perfect!”
Welcome to Erin's House! This wooded, peaceful family home is located 1 minute off I-44, only 30 minutes from Springfield or Joplin and 1 hour to Branson. Wake up with a complimentary coffee or tea, sit on the back porch swing and relax looking over the picturesque green fields that cover the 100 acres this countryside oasis sits on. Enjoy the sound of the Ozarks, take a walk through the water garden and relax in front of the expansive wood burning fireplace.
“Just a great value - beautiful grounds and nice & comforting house. Photos and description are not exaggerating whatsoever! If anything they don't do the place justice. Very quiet & serene however Jim was available to assist whenever we had questions. At the same time, located within about two minutes from the highway connecting to Springfield, Branson and elsewhere. In a difficult time, this was just a great vacation for us, albeit too short.”
Shady Cove Hideaway is nestled directly on Table Rock Lake in a serene wooded area. We are located near Branson West. Boating and swimming are amazing in our sparkling clean lake. We are 15 minutes from Silver Dollar City and 20 from Branson's Country Music Boulevard, Lake Taneycomo/fish hatchery and four world class golf courses. It is important that both the property and the wildlife be respected. There is no hunting at any time. We desire for everyone to enjoy our little piece of heaven!
“Overall, our three nights away from the city was rejuvenating. The house is down a windy, tree-lined road. It feels like you are really off the beaten path. This location is perfect for hanging out close enough to the lake to dip a toe in right from the property line. We sat by a fire watching the sun set over the lake and mountain across the cove. We relaxed on the screened-in porch watching the lake or luxuriating in hot tub, which we used every day. The house is 40 minutes from the Branson area, so we were able to have a meal in town and bike around the State Park. Below are some of my other reactions to the property that I recommend to anyone needing to get away and be close to nature. Pros Location is remote and tucked away. Lake is several hundred feet down a walk-able path Fire pit is perfect for an evening staring at the flames Screened in porch is large and a great place to use the hot tub Just about every cooking utensil you can think of, except a whisk Two TVs and cable, although they are not smart TVs so you cannot stream directly or use Apple Airplay DVD player on downstairs TV Kathy is responsive, and sent a neighbor over to correct an issue while they were away Plenty of space to spread out Kindling provided for starting a fire Plenty of space for parking Amazingly quiet Cons WiFi is very weak as its signal comes from the owner’s house next door. Owners should invest in a $100 WiFi repeater Couldn’t figure out the Cuisinart coffee maker which drizzled coffee but wouldn’t make a full pot Microwave is only 900 watts, so you need to adjust times if you’re used to a more powerful one Did see a lizard and bugs in the rock floored room. There’s a gap under one window that may be the entry point. A carpenter ant made its way into the kitchen Beds were sufficient, but felt like old spring beds Front porch has weak boards by the front entrance, which made us a little concerned about falling through while carrying luggage”
