Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Monroe County

Another great stay at The Nest. We have been back to this location several times in the last several years. It is extremely close to our family that we can visit them every time we go down! We also are close to the town of Gap Mills and Union in which we visit each time. I can not express enough how amazing The Nest is and how friendly Thomas is when we plan our trips! 10/10 would recommend and 1000% will be staying here again and for the foreseeable future for our trips down!

We had a great time at Garry's place! The place was very clean and well furnished, and we appreciated the many bedrooms (my adolescent son likes his privacy). We enjoyed the location by the river, plus the kids loved spending time around the fire pit where they built a fire every night. Great location also if you want to visit Sandstone Falls or hike the Grandview Rim Trail. We hope to visit again.

House was in a perfect location for the job I was working at. It is very close to the river. The house has a good kitchen, comfortable beds, and just worked out perfectly for my needs.

We really enjoyed staying at the Blue Bungalow. Everything was exactly as it was described. We felt right at home. Everything was just perfect and we absolutely loved the back patio.

Was a quaint old home, peaceful with a beautiful view. We had family over for a birthday party and took advantage of the fire pit and grill. Joyce even helped us out when we were in need of a large cooking pot to do our seafood boil. Joyce was very friendly and available when needed.

Very nice place in a quiet town. Loved the chance to use the hot tub numerous times 👍. Enjoyed our stay.

What a wonderful home to rent! This home had everything you need and was so clean! Hosts are so thoughtful in everything they have done to make a memorable stay. We absolutely loved the outdoor fire pit and game room. What a nice way to end our day and create family memories! Do not hesitate to rent this Airbnb, it is as fabulous! One of my sons came with me to Union to meet with my siblings to scatter Dad's ashes. It was an emotional weekend, but to have such a comfortable bed and quiet space to come "home" to at night was wonderful. Our hosts kindly provided an air mattress for my son, and he slept well, too. The cabinet holds a Keurig coffeemaker with lots of pods, sugar, flavors, etc., as well as a delicious snack for us and a gallon of spring water. I made coffee with that as well as stayed hydrated during our visit. I was surprised at how quiet and peaceful our room was -- we heard zero noise from the store or the business right next-door. Our hosts were very kind and responsive, too. We would stay here again for sure! Highly recommended.

Words can not express how amazing my stay was. First the location of the apartment is in the cutest little town , like something out of a hallmark movie. The host left clear instructions on how to get in and even left the lights on for me because arrived late at night. When I opened the door to the place it not only looked like the photos but even better in person! The place was clean, had all the amenities one would need for a stay and it was cozy, modern and I felt right at home. Even when I had to extend my stay the host was helpful and responded with a timely manner with the updated pricing, Pamela was also responsive and such a kind person to have as a host. I would definitely recommend this stay for future guest!

I stayed in this unit for almost 3 months. The location was quiet, despite being above businesses and I never heard any noise from below. You can enjoy a beautiful view of the river and relax on the balcony that has chairs and tables. There's plenty of parking out front of the building. The building is secure. The apartment is just like the pictures. It's modern and has plenty of wall plugs. It has many amenities and lots of little extras Pam has included so all you need do is bring food and enjoy your stay. And it is super clean. Hostess Pam was very friendly, proactive and quick to reply to communications. You won't be disappointed staying here.
