It was a perfect place to unwind after a day of the softball fields! Wish we would have had more time to use the pool and explore but it was a wonderful place.

This place was great- actually a lot bigger than we expected. There was a musty smell when we walked in, but thankfully there was Febreeze provided, as well as anything else we needed. We could hear noise from the people and dogs upstairs, but I didn’t mind. I would definitely stay again.

My family and I had a wonderful stay. The home was gorgeous and so clean. The appliances in the kitchen were new and easy to use. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony and watching the stillness of the water. The kids loved the game room and enjoyed playing ping pong. We all walked to the deck and went fishing and we caught about 5 fish! 🤗 The kids were so excited about that. We threw them back into the lake though.. The kids loved their room which had bunkbeds & all 5 kids were able to stay in the same room which was really fun for them. The bathtubs have steamy hot water! Most of all, I loved the small intricate details like the cross in the hallway, small angel statues in the kids room, and the books they chose for the bookshelf. I am so impressed with the intentionality they took with their home. 💕The owners are so friendly and sweet. We would definitely stay again.👍

When we visit our son in college we want to stay at a peaceful, clean, and comfortable place. This Airbnb has all that and more! We had a wonderful overnight visit with our son! Looking forward to staying here again in the near future as he still has three years of college to go!

The Sommers' home is absolutely beautiful, and our stay was nothing short of amazing. The check-in and check-out processes were seamless, and the hosts were incredibly responsive. When we encountered an issue with the upstairs thermostat, they had someone there to resolve it within the hour. We completely understand that unexpected situations can arise, and they handled it promptly and professionally. The house itself is spacious and perfectly suited for our large family. I would highly recommend both this home and these wonderful hosts to anyone!

From the moment we pulled into the driveway we knew we had made the right choose. Everything, I mean everything is perfection. Carol and Will have paid special attention to every detail. Everything is labeled and exactly as described in the listing. I spent every morning on the screened back porch bird watching. How great is that! We loved it and look forward to returning. This house was absolutely perfect for my husband’s weekend shooting event. It was extremely comfortable and even more convenient to the shooting grounds. Ginger was a fantastic host. She was very quick to reply and easy to communicate with. She had everything that you would need there. Would give more than 5 stars if I could.

From the beginning, hosts were proactive in making sure we had everything we needed for our stay. They were so kind to let us check in an hour early so we could make it to a wedding rehearsal on time. They were easy to communicate with and very responsive. The home was spotless and well-equipped. We would definitely stay there again when in the area.

We were in town for a wedding, the house was incredibly beautiful . Attention to detail With everything! My mother in law had nothing but nice things to say about the house. We had plenty of room and really enjoyed our downtime just hanging around the house. Would definitely stay here again!

This had to be one of the most beautiful places I have stayed. The layout and design were beautiful. We went for a softball tournament and I would go back just to stay in this fabulous home!

We stayed here for my son’s wedding that was in Ruston. It was a beautiful and peaceful place that provided just what we needed for the weekend. Beverly left the most delicious cookies for us! The cookies are enough of a reason to go back, not to mention the comfort of the beds!

This is a lovely, older home that has been nicely updated. The hosts did not skip any details in making us feel welcome. Home was nicely stocked with all essentials and several unexpected extras. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this location to friends and family. One of the nicer Airbnb experiences we have had.

Great, quiet place! We were close by where we needed to be and town was not that far away. Everything was pretty clean. The beds seemed like they had a ton of fuzzys and dirt under the covers but we think it was just from the blanket.

Words and pictures don't do this place justice. Perfect is an understatement, we loved the home! We had an incredible stay, and everyone had the best time. The house is full of warm, welcoming touches, everything from the house's layout, personal touches, and cleanliness to the amazing location on the lake made for a vacation we will remember forever. We were able to safely beach our boat. I can't say enough good things about Leighanna. She was quick to respond to any questions. She was willing to help with all our needs. We are looking forward to coming back in the future. Thanks so much for everything!" 

Stacie was a great host, and responded quickly, keeping in touch regarding any questions or concerns we had. I also appreciate her making the dates available at the last minute. We highly recommend her and will definitely choose her again if we have to come back to this area.

Kristy was an amazing host! She had snacks and drinks ready for us when we got there. Anything you may have forgotten, she had you covered! The house was so cute, loved the character it had. We slept amazing in the wonderful beds and pillow. Will stay here again if we come back to Monroe!

I had a great stay and Sarah was a great host. The space is much larger than it looks in the photos, and the furnishings and accessories are even nicer than I expected. The air conditioner works very well. I wouldn't hesitate to stay in the middle of summer. I loved that the cottage is at the back of the property so I end up parking my truck at the end of a long private driveway, essentially behind the main house (although the neighborhood looked nice and super-safe, anyway, it still made feel like my truck was safer). The house and everything in it was really clean. Nice big TV. And the outdoors are beautiful. You're right on an oxbow lake with dock access and a private balcony overlooking the lake, surrounded by trees. Hwy 165 is directly across the lake, so the road noise is noticeable when you're outside, but it didn't bother me inside. I would definitely return.
