Vacation rentals in Moturoa Island

Well equipped kitchen, big spacious house, great for our group of 5. At least a 10min flat walk to the beach, however a beach cart was needed if taking a beach cabana and chilli bins etc. We opted for a short drive to the beach when we were going for a few hours. Nice walk up the hill through bush to get to Whale Bay which was beautiful.

Such a beautiful spot. The house was very clean and tidy on arrival. Clean sheets & towels - our large family group immediately felt right at home. There was plenty of space for our group of 12.. we didn’t feel crammed in and everyone had a very comfortable bed. The views were amazing, hosts were easily contacted and we were all very comfortable during our stay. Would highly recommend. The bucket of Easter eggs in the fridge were a lovely surprise too 🥰

We felt highly welcome. Vanessa answered a question within minutes and helped out. She asked us if we need anything from the supermarket ( is 45 min. away). Well equipped apartment. Silence. Beach nearly just for us. Perfect. 😀

Malcom and Penny were so welcoming and we had the most wonderful stay! The perfect location, hidden in the hills with only a quick spin in to town. Really enjoyed our weekend, couldn’t recommend their place more, a beautiful home!

When we arrived at the house we were gobsmacked- beautiful views and the house was exactly as I had imagined. The instructions to get to the property and to get inside were very easy so test was a great start. The house was spotless, with lovely linen and clean amenities. During our stay we had severe storms resulting in no power on our last day but Andrew was very helpful and advised us what to do. Thanks for a great visit

Thank you to Silv and Steve for a wonderful getaway! Silv and Steve were very welcoming, kind and responsive. The prepared pizza dough on arrival as well as being invited to explore the wood shop and feed the alpacas was a special touch. The cabin was very clean and tidy. It was beautifully finished with lovely woodwork by Silv and Steve. The wood fired pizza oven and hot tub was an extra touch. The marked walks on the property were fun to explore. The view was lovely. Overall fantastic stay. We will definitely stay if we head back to the area. Would highly recommend it!

Our group of 7 women rated this house as one of the highlights of our 4 day stay in Russell. The location is scenic and peaceful and only a short drive to the town centre. We wished we'd had more time to enjoy the pleasures this house offers and would highly recommend both it and the host Dave.

One of the things that’s hard about finding a place in a new place is the sense of relative distances. We were further outside of town than we had expected, but man was it worth it. The views down to the bay were spectacular. And being from the northern hemisphere, the night sky is of particular interest. We were lucky with high pressure, so being just far enough outside of town gave us breathtaking star gazing. Jo was so helpful in making suggestions for places to see, quickly able to help us prioritize based on the way we roll, a good mix of walking and driving, a wonderful resource and real hospitality pro. Already looking forward to our next visit.

Amazing slice of paradise in mangonui. Comfortable for 4 adults using the sofa bed and set up so living room can act as second bedroom. Amazing local fish and chip shop is a must. Really friendly and helpful host, able to be flexible for check in and check out. Easy to find, plenty of room to park. Loved the decks and outside shower features.
