“We thoroughly enjoyed the blue cottage. An incredibly charming old house with lots of soul! The sauna was delightful and the DVD selection enhanced our cozy night in. I would return in an instant! Thanks again for a great stay!”
This is a beautiful apartment fully furnished with a kitchenette. Set over the garage of the main house on a gorgeous three and a half acre lot in the country, but an easy drive to the nearby city of Fredericton. It is normal to see deer in our beautiful apple orchard behind the house. Twenty two minutes from Crabbe Mountain Ski Resort and 12 minutes from Mactaquac Park. A perfect spot for skiers to stay!
“The space was on the smaller side, but very private with a separate entrance. Bed was comfortable, the apartment was clean and the heat was on when I walked in so I didn't have to wait for the place to heat up unlike other places I have visited. I arrived a bit late but Sue Ellen had prepared everything for a self check-in and had communicated very clearly with me so I knew what was where, etc. Free parking on site. This seems like a nice property with a nice view that is probably breathtaking in the summer. I really only arrived late in the evening and left early in the morning so I didn't stay very long but it was comfortable and I would stay here again.”
Set on the tranquil waters of Taffy Lake, our Lakehouse is designed for you to unplug and get away. Set up for couples or families looking to get away. This is a cabin, but it is the size of a house, it is rustic and cozy. This is a quiet spot with approximately a half dozen camps on this end of the lake. Available from May-October (possible availability in November depending on snow, cold and general weather conditions). Stays include use of kayaks, canoes, pedal boat, firepit, bbq, etc.
“If you are looking for a spot for the family to get back to what matters amongst all the hustle and bustle Natalie's is the place. No internet and spotty cell coverage are benefits IMO. (There are spots where you can get a few signal bars...but why?) You can peek at your phone and see it doesn't work per se and actually look at what is important. Your kids laughing and playing and Nature in Her glory. We were only there 2 days but what a reset for us all. Even though there is a rental fee I feel the need to say thank you for sharing such a thoughtful family gem. Natalie's place is all set up for fun and adventure. We have canoes and all that, no need to bring to Natalie's, its all here. If you are adventurous you can kayak to the next lake and traverse wetlands between the two. The wildlife we saw was thrilling. We caught many fish, relaxed by the firepit outfitted with Adirondacks and enjoyed a glorious sunset. Even lucky enough to view the meteor shower. Kids loved jumping of the dock. We listened to the loons call and even had up close viewing of the loons in the kayaks. If your quiet and respectful the loons forget you are there. The cottage was clean and welcoming, not sterile and processed like a hotel. All necessary items for cooking and sleeping are available. Well decorated and sprinkled with love. There is a lot of love in this cottage for sure. Natalie should be proud of her spot...good job 👍. We will certainly like to stay again, but longer for sure. Check in was a breeze, Natalie was prompt with responses and let us feel the place was our for a bit. Neighbors were friendly and welcoming. We have been to resorts we did not enjoy as much. If you like a lake cottage and all that comes with it this is for you. Dont get me wrong, this is nothing like a resort, that is what is special. Its in the woods. Its quiet and quaint and for a little while at least its like you and those important to you are all there is. Can't put a price on that.At night a laugh can carry to the other end of the lake. The drive in on Howland ridge was picturesque as well. Three cheers for this gem. WTG Natalie thanks again for sharing your secret hideaway. All above expectation.”
