This is a rental house surrounded by the rich nature of Iizuna Kogen.It was built in the year of the 1998 Nagano Olympics at an altitude of 1200 meters. The traditional wooden building, which was finished without using a single nail, was completed by a famous architect and a master carpenter.It is a calm space where you can feel the warmth of handiwork. Powerful and delicate wood, shoji natural light, shoji and shade of Isamu Noguchi's Akari lighting create a beautiful blend of tradition and modernity. Artisanal stucco walls are used in the room.You can stay comfortably in any season while being surrounded by the scent of cedar and cypress. The size is 195 ㎡. After locally sourcing fresh ingredients, head to the Rock Forest, park your car in the parking lot, and climb the stairs to carry the ingredients to the hearth space. From Tokyo to Karuizawa, it is 60 minutes by Shinkansen, and 30 minutes by car from Karuizawa Station, so for example, you can work in the morning and take a half afternoon. Family groups of around 8 people are delighted. Located in Dainichi, Karuizawa-cho, it is about 5 minutes by car from Shinano-Kazumi Station.The west and north sides are very quiet and calm as the state-owned forests approach.

Please not make loud noises or loud music. The villa can occupy 16 people so it's perfect for group traveler and several family with children. We have big bath tub so please relax!
