Very cozy loft with lots of character from the beautiful and historic art features to the witty signs and vintage furniture. The apartment was easy to access, and surprisingly quiet and dark (like a basement). It's within a 10-20 minute walk of many quaint restaurantsand bars and to the train. I enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and felt safe. I initially had some trouble finding parking at rush hour but some spots opened up closer to the loft later in the evening. I left my car most of the visit and used ride share or walked. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I would love to come back for a longer stay.

This place was very cute and provided basic amenities. The neighborhood felt safe and we appreciated the nearby dog park. My only note is the stairs. I had read reviews about the stair steepness and didn’t think anything of it as a young person but they are definitely too steep for the dog so we just blocked off access!

Our stay at charlottes was great! Great location, very walkable with many options for restaurants. The loft was the perfect size and had all the amenities we needed for the weekend!

My wife and I had a great stay at Laurie’s loft in walkable Bucktown. We chose her place because having the 2 top floors appealed to us, and it had the decor and charm of a historic build. We were pleasantly surprised to find it more spacious than the photos depicted, and it felt very welcoming and “homey” inside. Having private patio access is also a plus, and we were lucky that the weather was nice enough to enjoy some time out there. Laurie was a very friendly and hospitable host from the get go, and sent us proactive messages of how to enter (which was very straightforward). If you’re looking for a comfortable stay, at a good price, plus easy access to public transport links around Chicago, it’s hard to beat!

Harvey and Elizabeth were wonderful hosts! With it being my first time to Chicago, they were more than helpful in providing recommendations and instructions for public transportation. The walk to the train was only 5 minutes, which made for a really fast commute. I really appreciated being greeted at check-in and communication was always fast and clear. I knew if I needed anything, all I had to do was ask. Their 3rd-floor suite was the perfect quiet getaway after a busy day downtown. Beverly is a great walkable area with good food and great people, Harvey and Elizabeth among the best!

Our families got together for a long weekend in Chicago and we wanted to stay in a hip neighborhood with walkable restaurants/shops but also wanted somewhere close enough to downtown Chicago so we could take the train or make the quick drive. We also needed a place that could accommodate 4 adults and 4 young kids (ages 1-7). George’s place checked these boxes for us. We read a few reviews prior about noise, and while you can definitely hear street noise in the living room, we didn’t have any issues sleeping. The kitchen was stocked which was helpful for cooking breakfast in the morning. We were pleased to find a few baby gates for the 1 year old to block the steep stairs. The Hyatt next door has a fun roof top bar that was also kid friendly. Our kids also enjoyed a park/playground a couple blocks north. There is one parking space, so we did opt to use Spot Hero for the other car and found one decently close. The neighborhood has so much to check out, we’d definitely stay again!
