“It was our first time staying in a tiny house and it was a cool place. You have to make sure you really like the person you’re staying with because it’s definitely tiny! The location was excellent, the communication was excellent, the bed was super comfortable, and it had a cool vibe to it. The biggest difficulty was trying to eat together because there’s no space and no table or TV trays to use. It’s a tight fit with two people on the loveseat if you’re trying to eat. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay and would consider again on our next trip to New Bern.”
access to the river and beach on the property. Kayak and paddle boards available to use. enjoy a beautiful sunrise or have a bonfire at night on the beach and watch the moon rise.
“John's place was great! We rented both of his houses for the weekend. They are right across a big lawn from each other and not far from John's own house. I think together they could hold 10 people, possibly more. There were just 6 of us and we had lots of space. John's houses are well-maintained, clean, and have lots of thoughtful touches and amenities. Lots of linens, K-cups, shampoo. John and Yip were very welcoming and built us a fire on the beach Sunday morning. John answered my questions about best places to eat and hike --we loved Persimmons and the Neusiok trail, though the trail was still technically closed and being repaired. The view of the Neuse from his property is very special and his property is a private compound that is fun to visit. As another Airbnb'er said, "bring your basketball!" because there is a nice court there outside the bigger house. John also has other fun stuff around the property, like kayaks, etc. His dogs are very mellow and sweet and even my really crazy, dog-hating dogs didn't have a problem with them.”

“I stayed two nights while attending a conference that was nearby. I was able to walk to everything ... the conference center, shopping, restaurants, nightlife , etc. location was a big factor in choosing the space. The apartment is really nice... spacious, quiet , very comfortable ( bed was great!) and the little kitchenette was a nice addition although I didn’t do any cooking. Parking was easy and although I didn’t need them for anything , the hosts seemed very nice and willing to assist if needed. I would definitely stay there again. Side note.. and it’s in their listing...if stairs are not your thing then make sure you understand the access stairway. Wasn’t a factor for me , but may be for others. Great space , great value and great location.”
