Our walking tour takes in some of the famous colleges and historic sights of the city as you meander down quaint alleyways and tread the cobbled streets. You will hear quirky facts and stories of the colleges and their colourful alumni, all set within the context of English and world history, plus many fascinating tales of city life through the ages not generally mentioned in the guide books. We will take you to a church 1000 years old and reveal it’s hidden secret, down side streets to places of interest visitors don't normally see. You will go back in time to medieval Cambridge to discover how the University all started, visiting colleges over 700 years old and hearing their history. We will show you what it is to experience life as a student in a Cambridge College. All our tours are unique as we specialise in small groups and encourage interaction and questions. Highlights of our walking tour include The Senate House, The Colleges of Gonville & Caius, Trinity, St John’s, Kings, Clare, Corpus Christie, Pembroke, Peterhouse and Queens. St Benet's church, an unusual clock, the historic Eagle pub, The Cavendish Labs, and the Mathematical Bridge Other things to note As it's a walking tour, on city streets, just be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and be sure to dress for the English Climate.

Your University of Cambridge graduate guide will meet you at the entrance of King's College on King's Parade in the centre of Cambridge. We will then begin our 90-minute walking tour around the city and famous University Colleges. You will learn famous Cambridge anecdotes including how the university was founded and which famous Alumni have passed through the college gates. We will cover approximately 9 university colleges with entry inside Pembroke College and the backs of Trinity College. Your guide is a current student or graduate of the University of Cambridge who will share insights from their time as a student and will be able to explain how the Oxbridge application process works. Ideal for prospective students visiting the city. Throughout the tour, you will be invited to ask questions at each stop. Other things to note: Please wear clothing suitable for the weather

There are 20 regions in Italy and each of them has a specific cuisine that's not well known abroad. Discover the cuisine of Piedmont at my cozy Cambridge home. • Dine on 3 courses that are typical of the regional cuisine from Piedmont • Guests are welcome to BYOB • In the heart of Cambridge • Communal dining for 4 to 6 people On Sunday the menu will be in "afternoon tea" version, also available to take away. Other things to note If you want to try a particular kind of fresh pasta, just ask!

We will make together fresh pasta and gnocchi. I will provide 500 gr of pasta flour, eggs and potatoes. If you want you can be free to use different kinds of flours (white, chestnut, chickpea...) and to prepare gluten-free or vegan (without eggs) pasta. To roll out the dough we will use the rolling pin and the pasta machine. For an extra price of £10 we can cook the pasta and eat together, I will provide a nice sauce (only after Friday's class). Other things to note I will provide 500 gr of pasta flour, eggs and potatoes to make pasta and gnocchi.

We will meet outside the museum building at the South Gate. After a brief background into the history and development of the museum, we will go upstairs into the painting galleries and take in defining works from:  The Italian Renaissance and Baroque,  Flanders and Holland,  Tudor, Stuart, Georgian and Victorian Britain  The French Impressionists  British Art of the early Twentieth Century. During this journey you will encounter works by Veneziano, Botticini, Titian, Canaletto, El Greco, Rubens, Brueghel, Hogarth, Gainsborough, Millais, Monet, Renoir and more. This format can easily be customised for those who would like to look at particular areas of interest in greater depth. I will use a more ‘art-historical’ approach – however, no prior knowledge is assumed nor required. While it is true that visitors will see less of the collection as a whole they will be able to get deeper ‘under the skin’ of the chosen works. As well as paintings, the Fitzwilliam Museum has an excellent collection of artefacts from Ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome and beyond. I can easily put together a tour for visitors who would prefer to look at and talk about these objects and art from antiquity. I MAY WELL BE ABLE TO DO TOURS ON DATES OTHER THAN THOSE ON THE CLANDAR. There are facilities for securely storing coats, bags, etc. Please note that back-packs should either be stored or carried by hand in the galleries.
