The cabin was built on a base of a hillside that overlooks a beautiful creek that crosses our land, and also overlooks a beautiful 20 acre meadow, that the local wildlife love to enjoy. We hope to provide a space where you can come and unwind and, take in all the natural beauty that the Hocking Hills has to offer.

The Magical Cabin on Back Creek

Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. This is the perfect couples getaway! Arrive with everything you need for a few days then take a deep breath. On exhale everything not directly related to the river is turned off. Then mix and match the following activities on repeat….river and critter watching, drinks/cuddling by the fire, hot tubing, snuggling, napping, snacking, streaming...occasionally throw in some fishing, kayaking, and open fire cooking on the cast iron cookware.
