Chalet vacation rentals in Otago

What a perfect cottage in such a peaceful environment. We were blown away by the thoughtful touches seen throughout the place - wish our travels would have allowed us to stay longer. Thank you Duncan and Sheena for being great hosts.

The best part is the view!! Absolutely stunning to wake up and see that view of the Wānaka hillsides. We also really enjoyed the outdoor bath, which was private and peaceful! Great host recommendations, thoughtful touches, and fun decor! Things to note: I found it a little unique that the only sink was in the bathroom - so keep that in mind if you plan on enjoying meals there. Other reviews mention the stairs to get up to the space. I wouldn’t recommend if you have a hard time walking uphill/downhill or feel uncomfortable driving a bit up a hill on a winding road. It totally suited our needs and we enjoyed the privacy, views, and wow factor. I would definitely recommend staying if you’re looking for a little slice of heaven 5 minutes driving from town.

The room is cozy, the location is private and quiet, you can see the sky full of stars and the Milky Way sitting in the yard at night, especially comfortable cottage.Bathroom, the kitchen is very clean, and the kitchen is full, it is very convenient to cook, if you go for a hike on Mt Cook, it is very recommended to stay. Highly recommended

Incredible view out our window in the morning, cosy cottage, comfy bed and everything we needed for a breakfast. This is our second stay at Rachel’s place. We love staying here . It is very clean and the real fire is lovely after a days skiing . We will definitely be back .

Awesome place to stay for our week in Wanaka. Was so private and very peaceful. We throughly enjoyed using the outdoor bath each evening while watching the stars. A good walk from town but very doable either by road or Mt Iron. Would 100% come back and stay here on our next stay in town.

The scenic view overlooking Lake Wakatipu was breathtaking. Nice showers, plenty of blankets and a log fire made a comfortable stay. Thank you Geoff

The chalet is well located, it's a quiet and peaceful place. It's about 10 minutes walk from the Wanaka tree and about 25 minutes walk from downtown. The hosts have been responsive and attentive to our needs. We had a lovely time. Thank you so much.

We stayed here for a few days on either side of our helicopter wedding based out of Queenstown. The Goldleaf Chalet was an incredible place to stay and make a special time in our lives feel very special indeed. Practically every window has stunning views, and the spa was so relaxing to sit in and watch the clouds go by. The house is well equipped and so pleasant to be in. I definitely teared up as we left at check out. We'll never forgot our stay here 🥰
