Gypsy Wagon, Curio Bay, Catlins.

PeterRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Can't recommend Nick's wagon enough, brilliant location with loads to see and do in the area, even in bad weather. Nick was a great host, very helpful and accommodative, showed us arounfd the are and even let us have some of the kale from his garden to use in our meals.

The Pines Guesthouse - new re-list

SamuelRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Stu’s guesthouse was a lovely getaway in New Zealand! Close to Queenstown, ZQN airport, and to many outdoor activities. Very peaceful and private, soft linens, and felt right at home. It’s clear that this is not a cookie cutter Airbnb, but a real guesthouse, and it shows in the fit and finish of the property, and Stu’s helpful and kind approach to hosting. I would stay again in a heartbeat!

Heart of Gold in Gibbston Valley

KatieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We loved our stay. Easy check in, great communication and friendly hosts. The cottage is clean and so cosy with the fireplace. Kitchen set up great which meant we could have dinner in one night. Beautiful location in the Gibbston Valley - we borrowed the bikes to visit several wineries near by.

Shear-Vue Farmstay: Farm Tour & Spa Pool | Fairlie

YingRating, 5 stars1 day ago
I visited this place seven years ago, and coming back felt just like coming home—so heartwarming to see that the warmth and charm haven’t changed a bit. It was wonderful catching up with Julie and Tony—they're incredibly kind and welcoming. My friends and I loved the farm tour! Tony displayed shearing. We got to feed the sheep, a cow, and three llamas. It’s clear how much care Julie and Tony give their animals—there’s a real sense of humility and respect in everything they do. Farm life isn’t easy, and sadly, their lovely Airbnb might be closing next March. That would be such a loss. If you’re considering a visit, don’t miss the chance to stay here and experience this unique and memorable farm life.

Warm, Cosy, Self-contained Cottage

FlavieRating, 5 stars2 days ago
My favorite stay in New Zealand! Last time my friends and l were impressed by the splendid Milky Way. So l booked Janelle’s house with no hesitation when l plan the trip in NZ this time. Macey the dog, smart and chirpy, welcomed us as always. Janelle is helpful and friendly. I have lost my sunglasses nearby the gate and she helped find it and send it to me. Really hope to see you in the near future♥️

Beautiful modern tiny home!! Pretty generous in size for a tiny home, we stayed with 2 adults & 2 kids. Outdoor deck & fire pit with the mountain views is awesome. Jasmine was very responsive to a couple of questions we had too. Really short drive into town centre, so easy!

Shepherd’s Rest - outdoor bath, alpaca & sheep

ChloeRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We’ve stayed here three times now and we will surely come back. Always homely, clean crisp and relaxing. The alpacas are a hoot and Jennie is so quick to respond, she went the extra mile to set a reminder to get in touch if it was possible to do an early check in - and she did. The extra couple of hours were so restful for us after a long journey over. The outdoor bath is so special and relaxing. We loved the mixture of games to play for a laugh and something different - we’ve come home to buy the monopoly one - might be addicted now 😂 thanks again Jennie, you are the air BnB queen 👸

Scandinavian-style modern rural barn getaway

The host was very nice and prepared milk eggs and some small snacks. The interior of the room is also very particular, household appliances, furniture, and kitchenware give people a very textile feeling, not like a lot of houses.Great experience.

Ruataniwha Hut is such a beautiful spot! Coming from a country area in aus ourselves, we have a special appreciation for the beauty and the peacefulness of this place 😊 The hut was so cosy, had everything we needed and made for a perfect stay whilst travelling around the area. Huge credit to Andrew who has put in so much effort to make this place special!

Fully Contained Studio (sleeps 3) & Spa Pool

AlessandraRating, 5 stars1 week ago
My partner and I stayed just one night at Sarah’s place and honestly wish we could’ve stayed longer, it’s such a beautiful and peaceful spot. The space has everything you need, and the spa pool under the stars was absolutely magical. But what truly made the stay unforgettable was Sarah herself. We were dealing with a very stressful situation, my partner had an important online exam and our laptops failed us at the worst possible time. Not knowing anyone in NZ and with only hours to spare, we were in panic mode. Sarah went above and beyond to help us. She kindly lent us her personal laptop and even offered a room in her own home with the best internet connection so the test could be completed smoothly. We’re incredibly grateful for her kindness and support. Sarah is a wonderful host and person, and we can’t recommend her highly enough.

The Lookout - boutique mountain hideaway

AmandaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The best part is the view!! Absolutely stunning to wake up and see that view of the Wānaka hillsides. We also really enjoyed the outdoor bath, which was private and peaceful! Great host recommendations, thoughtful touches, and fun decor! Things to note: I found it a little unique that the only sink was in the bathroom - so keep that in mind if you plan on enjoying meals there. Other reviews mention the stairs to get up to the space. I wouldn’t recommend if you have a hard time walking uphill/downhill or feel uncomfortable driving a bit up a hill on a winding road. It totally suited our needs and we enjoyed the privacy, views, and wow factor. I would definitely recommend staying if you’re looking for a little slice of heaven 5 minutes driving from town.
