Absolutely loved Casa Tlacuache – highly recommend to everyone! The place is beautiful, relaxing, peaceful…like an oasis. The welcoming touches in the room made me feel at home. What completely blew me away was the breakfast each morning, prepared by an incredibly talented chef – every meal was absolutely delicious. It’s was also lovely to have a communal table for breakfast to allow the chance to connect with the other guests. The hosts are fantastic - prompt with responses, super friendly and full of recommendations! The staff are just as wonderful - friendly, considerate and always helpful. The location is just a short walk to the lagoon and to restaurants and less than a 10 min walk to town square. Honestly, everything was perfect and I’m definitely going to miss those breakfasts!! Thank you!!!

Lulu was such a warm, inviting host who made us feel at home in Bacalar. She was open to getting to know us and tell us about her own life, and even took us out on the lagoon, telling us about the nature and spirit of this place. She is clearly very connected to Bacalar and you can feel it immediately. We felt very well taken care of. We also did one of her cacao ceremonies, which was a very special & profound experience - would recommend it to anyone more spiritually inclined. On a practical level, Lulu (and her assistant, Cynthia) was also very responsive to messages and providing whatever was needed in the space. The location was also great - the nearby eco park (3 min walk) was one of the most beautiful lagoon access spots, much quieter than other areas. The main square is also not far and we found everything to be walkable. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

I hesitated for a long time before putting a positive review in order to keep this place valuable to us but hey they deserve so much! It was a beautiful stay, in an amazing setting, facing the lagoon, with dock and kayaks available. The true spirit of an Airbnb, in a local's home, with a great welcome from Gloria and Olivier. Provide a car to get to the city center. Thanks again!

It was a really good stay, the place is very nice and tidy, I would go back there without hesitation and it has a lot of things nearby, everything was perfect

Nice place. Short distance from Central Bacalar and the lagoons. I recommend renting a bike, scooter, or car. It’s a little too far to walk conveniently. The room is simple. Clean with a nice bed and linens. The bathroom is simple with toilet, shower, and sink. Wi-Fi in the room isn’t great, I would say it worked more often then not. Probably not good enough to work, but worked most of the time to watch videos. No AC, it can get a little hot. Service from the staff was great. I really enjoyed this place. It was simple, safe, and very inexpensive.

The place is beautiful matches the pictures and the location is privileged in Bacalar the cabin is otherwise beautiful, very comfortable, well ventilated, illuminated and neat definitely would leave again on my next trip to Bacalar thank you so much

Fantastic apartment a little walk from town. It was really thoughtfully provisioned which added to our stay. We appreciated things like the good, sharp kitchen knife, nice shampoo and shower gel, and the washing machine was a real bonus. Spotlessly clean, spacious and in a quiet location tucked off the main road and very close to the bus station. The noisy nightclub mentioned in other reviews was shut down, not sure how permanent that is though. There was plenty water and the hosts live on site and were always available if you had questions or needed anything. We really enjoyed our stay.
