  • Cultural Caper Walking Tour
On this walk we will see the imposing Parliament House, the oldest continually used Government House in Australia, and iconic memorials dedicated both to war and some of our noted citizens and influencers. This cultural tour also takes in the State Library, the old Destitute Asylum, the old Police Barracks, the Art Gallery of SA and the University of Adelaide and encapsulates the very best that the city has to offer. We start at Parliament House, which took 50 years to build before moving onto our first War Memorial erected in 1904 and the adjacent imposing Government House. A walk along North Terrace takes us past Prince Henry Gardens peppered with memorials dedicated to noted South Australians as well as an important early explorer, Matthew Flinders. The striking heritage architecture in Adelaide is notable, making a great contrast with the more contemporary modern buildings. Some of the older heritage style buildings date right back to the 1860's and have been well preserved for our viewing. We then pass by the iconic main War Memorial dedicated initially to the Great War and then visit the beautiful State Library of South Australia with its 1880's historic Mortlock Wing. A little visited area in behind North Terrace is the old Destitute Asylum and the old Mounted Police Barracks, which provoke many stories relating to crime, degradation and the human struggle to survive. Other things to note Easy paced 90 minute to 2 hour walking tours with the experience of a local guide. Starting and finishing points within reach of transport and cafes, shops etc. Wear comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather conditions as well as good walking shoes. Hats for warm days as well as water.

  • Be an Adelaide local: intimate walk
This is a small-group walk where you will gain more than just facts about monuments, going to intimate locations around the northern half of Adelaide's CBD. It's a mix of key monuments and little-frequented spots, all with great stories. You'll have a local understanding of how Adelaide became the city it is today, and how it’s still evolving! Other things to note I walk in rain, hail or shine - but will cancel 24 hours prior if the temperature forecast is 44 degrees Celsius or higher.

  • Adventure-Wildlife-Rugged Coast-Scenic
A wonderful day 8hr day out: Pick up/ Drop off to your Door. Visit the best places the Fleurieu Peninsula has to offer, where ancient forests meet 'The great Southern Ocean'. The adventure begins at the water's edge of the spectacular Sellicks Beach where the Mount Lofty Ranges meet the sea. Spectacular scenery; steep cliffs giving way to beautiful sandy beaches. Both seals & Dolphins can be spotted feeding here. Onto Second valley, South Australia's most photographed locations; stunning coastline views, & crystal-clear waters. Continue thru off-road tracks into Deep Creek Conservation Park and the stunning stringybark forest, home to an array of native wildlife such as Western Grey Kangaroos, Echidnas & 100's of species of birds. Here it's all about the wildlife, brilliant photo opportunities. Drive-up onto ridge tops that look out across the great Southern Ocean with views of Pages Islands, Cape Willoughby Lighthouse thru to Kangaroo Island. It's the world’s most scenic coastline & the landscape is breath-taking. Onto Port Elliot to see the majestic passing whales (April-Nov). Port Elliot is a charming historic town 1845. Here we can lunch at The Flying Fish Café on the water’s edge or you may choose one of the great local bakeries *Lunch Not Included In Price. Message me if the date you want is not available.

  • up! to the Adelaide Hills Wineries
Come with me in my VW up! to the Adelaide Hills Wineries. I’ll pick you up in the Adelaide CBD, from where the picturesque Adelaide Hills wine region is only a 20 minute drive east of the city. There are over 50 cellar doors in the region, from larger, well established wineries to small artisanal wineries. Depending on which day you book (some wineries don’t open every day) we will visit 3 or 4 of these top rating cellar doors: Ashton Hills Vineyard, Bird in Hand* (currently closed - undergoing major renovations), Hahndorf Hill Winery, Murdoch Hill, Petaluma, Shaw & Smith, Sidewood Estate*, Tapanappa, The Lane Vineyard*. We have a few lunch options: you could bring a picnic (I’ll bring the rug!), or, if you’re happy to spend a little extra, you could try out the platters which are available at most of the cellar doors (best option, to keep wine tasting!). Some of the wineries (marked*) also have restaurants – I can book for lunch if you let me know well enough in advance. ... And don't forget the acclaimed 'ChocoVino' tasting! Other things to note Some wineries charge tasting fees for their ‘wine flights’. Most wineries have light meals or platters available for purchase, and some have restaurants at their cellar doors.
