Vacation rentals with a firepit in Paraparaumu

The photos don’t do this place justice — I wish I could attach ours! From the start, Sarah was a fantastic host. The location is perfect for escaping the city and slowing down — so peaceful and quiet. We’ve never stayed anywhere that was truly this kid-friendly. Our 3-year-old had the best time: bush walks right at our doorstep, a short walk (with so much to see along the way) to the fields and playground, spotting and feeding animals, and the absolute highlight — getting to ride on a digger! TV and streaming services were available, but we barely touched them — there was just so much to do outside. Phones were ignored, screens stayed off — it was the perfect place to enjoy real screen-free time as a family. We brought groceries with us, but with the thoughtful treats Sarah provided, we hardly needed to leave. Everything was very well thought out, a lot of love has clearly been given to the overflow and guess. I honestly couldn’t recommend this place more — we will definitely be back.

Cozy cabin lives up to its name! I arrived on a cold bleak night to a warm cabin and bed. The outside light was on, making my entry nice and easy. The cabin was well equipped, beautifully presented, and I felt incredibly safe and private. The scenery outside the window was a relaxing view of the countryside. I was in Featherston for a wedding; had I not been otherwise occupied, I would have quite happily spent more time relaxing at the cabin. The bed linen was of a great quality, which made for an extremely comfortable sleep. I highly recommend staying here; it would make a lovely romantic getaway! Should I find myself needing to stay in Featherston again, this would be my first choice. Thanks Tracey, for a wonderful stay!

Longforde Cottage is a beautiful, peaceful cottage that has the beauty of being in the country yet only minutes from the township. Kate had thought of everything from yummy treats on arrival to having set the fire ready to light. We also loved using the bikes to get around. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Kererū Rest. Perfect location and an idyllic spot. The bath at night under the stars was such a cool experience. The place was very well kept, and stocked with plenty of breakfast food and snacks. I'd happily recommend Deb's place to anyone. We hope to be back soon.

Had such a great stay! Al and Nadine were very accommodating and great at communicating. Would definitely recommend staying here, it was my best Airbnb experience so far :)

Great house for two families, we enjoyed the hot tub, children loved the communal pool, tennis court and trampoline! It was a great way to visit an area that didn’t seem to have a huge amount for children to do.

Sharron’s apartment is so beautiful. Our only regret of our trip was that we couldn’t spend more time here. We were so fortunate to meet Sharron, she was most helpful, and we had a lovely conversation. Our hope is to have an opportunity to see the breathtaking views in this gorgeous Mt. Victoria accommodation again some day. We are so grateful to Sharron for her hospitality and great recommendations.

Another great stay for us, very convenient with family nearby. Several evening and daytime meal options nearby, frequent buses on a direct route into town, lots of walking trails nearby.

We booked last year but due to our daughter being in hospital I thought I had to cancel but Lisa let me know I could reschedule so I was so greatful! We changed our dates & finally made it!! Highly recommend this place & we will definitely be back.
