“This is one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed in. Beautifully and lovingly restored cottage on a historic farm. Charming details. Setting is extraordinary. A big farm. You’ll be next to the big red barn. Lavender fields. They raise rabbits. Kids will love this place. Lots of room to run around. Big bed in the sleeping loft. Two bunk beds in the smaller bedroom. Kitchen has a small refrigerator and microwave. There’s a Mr. Coffee. But if you want to cook, you’ll use an electric two-burner hot plate. Patten is a friendly little farm town with a good grocery store and hardware store. Stay here on your way into or out of Baxter State Park. Or even if you’re traveling I95, it’s worth the 9-mile detour for this unique little house. This is a new family enterprise and they deserve lots of new customers. We loved this place. But KEEP IN MIND: The stairway to the sleeping loft is very steep, not for anybody with mobility problems. And the ceiling upstairs is low. Watch your head.”

“What a great place to stay! We were greeted by Pat when arrived. The property is beautiful and private. Access to snowmobile trails was convenient and just what we were looking for. As others have stated in previous reviews the views of Mt Katahdin were amazing! The place was clean and comfortable. The recliners in the living room were just what I needed after a 250 mile snowmobile trip. We look forward to coming back again.”
Cozy log cabin with wood burning fireplace located minutes from Shin Pond. Get on the ITS trails from the back yard! Perfect location for snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, hiking and relaxing! Pets welcome!
“We stayed here on our most recent snowmobiling trip and really enjoyed our time at the cabin. The trail is easily accessible and Shin Pond village is not far away. We picked up pizzas for dinner one night it was about a 10 minute ride by car. The cabin was well stocked with everything you could need. It felt like home, we really enjoyed relaxing by the fire after a long day of riding. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of wood stacked next to the stove. The hosts were very prompt when I had a couple questions. Next time I travel to the area this will be my first choice for lodging.”
