Cottage vacation rentals in Petersfield

Had a brilliant stay for my partners 30th birthday! The cottage was really cute and cosy and the hot tub was brilliant too. Really comfortable bed and a 20 minute walk away from 'The Shears Inn' pub which is great for a drink and we also had a lovely dinner here. Lorraine (the host) was very responsive via messages and was prepared to go the extra mile for us at all times.

We have just spent the Easter weekend at this wonderful cottage - 4 adults and 2 children under 6 years old, and I have to say that Joel & Gaby’s place near the new forest is absolutely fabulous. Very spacious and ideal if you are looking for a getaway with a hot tub and table tennis in the garden. The cottage is in a great location, about 10 min drive to Paultons Park with peppa pig world so an absolute must for kids. It’s also not far from the new forest itself and Lyndhurst town. It was really tidy & clean, with a well equipped kitchen and bathrooms stocked with fresh towels. We were left a lovely gift on arrival of fresh bread, milk, eggs and a bottle of Prosecco which was an absolute treat! I couldn’t recommend this cottage more - thank you Joel & Gaby we had a fabulous time and would stay again in future.

Sue and Robert’s cottage was stunning. We had a lovely weekend with our young children. They were both super quick to reply, gave us lots of recommendations and explained how to use the hot tub (which was amazing with lovely views. The kids LOVED it) The welcome bits (bread, coffee, milk, juice ect) was a lovely touch. The place is immaculate and had lots of games and dvd’s. The area is beautiful and so peaceful. The kids said they wanted to stay there FOREVER which says it all. Thankyou Sue and Robert x

We stayed for 4 nights in April 2025, 2 adults and 2 children (9 and 13). Fabulous stay, the cottage is lovely and tucked away from the road. The hot tub was a big hit and made the stay that little bit more amazing! Excellent host and a lovely cottage, we will be back.

We had a very lovely stay at the cottage. It was exactly what we wanted. The cottage is absolutely beautiful in a gorgeous setting. It was so peaceful and relaxing. There is so much wildlife around which was beautiful to see. There is plenty of room and the hot tub was amazing. Keith is an amazing host and nothing is too much trouble, he was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be recommending this place and would stay again.

Had the nicest weekend away here, a very beautiful property with stunning views. The house was extremely well equipped and spacious, and the hot tub was delightful. Neil was a friendly host who kindly showed us around and how to use everything upon arrival. Would 100% recommend and would love to come back.

We had a fantastic stay, lovely location with beautiful scenery. The local pub did great food and very friendly. We did day trips to Bournemouth the New Forest for a couple of walks. Would highly recommend this place for a fabulous cottage which felt so much like home with lots of places to visit near by!

We had a lovely time. Love the location. Perfect for walkers. Inside was light and airy. Bed was very comfortable. The animals were happy and friendly and the area has lots of wildlife. We enjoyed going for walks and visiting Hungerfords Elaine's for lunch. Look forward to visiting again.

This apartment was the perfect stay for my husband and I plus our dog. We enjoyed the local pubs and especially the Twenty Seven wine bar. The city has nice cafes and tea houses within walking distance. WiFi was great for a work from home week in the apartment. The space is small but manageable. The charm of the old building and the town was very nice.

We had such a wonderful stay at Rebecca's lovely cottage. Perfect location away from London, with some real characters. We'll be back!

Truely stunning stay. Such a beautiful home and location. Would recommend for a family stay as little ones loved the toys, charm and ample space.

Firstly thank you Paul & Sarah for your directions. If you put the cottage post code in to your sat nav it will have you carrying out a U turn on the A31 so please note the directions given. The cottage is in a lovely location and was cosy, well furnished, well equipped and clean. The garden was lovely and great for our dogs but small dogs can squeeze through gaps in the fence (Paul is aware and is planning to block off any escape routes). There were fresh tulips and shortbread to greet us, which was a lovely touch, as well as lovely toiletries. Paul & Sarah were responsive to any queries or needs we had. There are lovely walks through the forest right on your doorstep. There is an outdoor hose for washing muddy footwear and paws. There are outside lights but the torch inside the cottage came in handy. We would happily recommend the cottage for a relaxing break.

What a great setting for an escape to the country! I already miss waking up with the chickens and pigs to greet me every day. I also saw more wild animals and birds in my walks around here in a week, than I have in years in London. Auriol is a great host, relaxed, knowledgeable and friendly, and the property is exactly as described and shown here. Tips for other travelers: If you’re a light sleeper bring an eye mask and earplugs as it does get sunny in the main bedroom. Looking forward to returning here!

I had a lovely stay at Karin's house, with a warm welcome and lots of nice touches. It's a great house with very comfortable spaces to relax, a well stocked kitchen, cosy bedrooms and 2 big bathrooms. Nether Wallop and the surrounding area are picturesque with many thatched roof houses. Nearby Bluestone vineyard was good for a short sip and stroll tour and farm animals, and nearby Stockbridge was good for window shopping and cafes.

We had a lovely stay over Easter, the weather was mixed but the village has everything you need- a few cafes snd pubs, baker, butcher, fishmonger and a couple of coops. Lots of places to walk and visit from the cottage. The off road parking is great but a bit tight for a larger car. The house was spotless, warm and comfortable. Stairs are steep ( common in houses of this age), but my elderly father managed ok. Thanks for a fun break!

Great little find! Loved the outdoor space where we were able to sit and have food with family. Log burner was lovely in the evening and made it even more cosy. Shower was hot and powerful and the kitchen had everything we needed. Will recommend and will definitely book again

Me and my girlfriend loved our stay at Harbour Cottage in Cowes. The living room and kitchen were spotless, and the bed was super comfortable. Easy walking distance from the centre of Cowes and everything we needed for our stay. Host was helpful and always on hand if we needed anything. A lovely stay and would recommend! Abby Barletta

Sociana is a beautiful soul, we are very blessed to have met her and privileged to stay on her property. This is truly an amazing place with a secret history. But you just have to stay there and let Sociana tell you about tgat. Super highly recommended.❤️

Super cute cottage, really lovely and peaceful. Gorgeous area to stay for a weekend. I wish it had a microwave, and maybe a slightly bigger sink but other than that, it was perfect. Stairs are a bit scary in the dark, I will say!

We really enjoyed our time in Sway and would recommend this as a great apartment and location to stay in. Communication before, during and after our stay was great, with the hosts answering any questions that we had. The accommodation was spotless throughout and was really well furnished. We would highly recommend for anyone looking to visit the area.
