Roomy walkout basement apartment with a private entrance! This retreat like space with a garden view offers you room to unwind and relax. The lower level is yours to enjoy! We are conveniently located close to interstate access making Ames or Des Moines an easy jaunt. If you decide to stay in town, Ankeny also offers a variety of dining and shopping experiences. We do live upstairs so you might hear us some. However, we do our best to be as quiet as possible. We look forward to your visit!

Unique "Little Italy" Apartment

Drive into the attached garage and go upstairs where you will find your very private entrance to a quiet, peaceful, and restful living. Located 1 mile from the downtown area on a street loaded with large Oak and Walnut trees. A huge back yard in which to stroll or barbecue. It is the top half of my house complete with it's own kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. My residence is the bottom half of the house. Lots of excellent restaurants nearby. My home is located in a safe and quiet neighborhood of Ankeny with a 16 min. drive to downtown Des Moines and Wells Fargo Arena. The high trestle trail is about 8 blocks away with a nice park 1 block away. The highlight of my home is the newly remodeled bedrooms and bathroom. There are queen beds in each of the bedrooms. The living room has a 55” LG OLED 4k TV with a PlayStation 4. I have high-speed cable internet/TV with standard and slingTV cable channels.

Private basement apartment in English Tudor home located in a beautiful safe, quiet neighborhood of Des Moines. Short stroll down our street takes you to the woods of Greenwood/Ashworth Park with its walking and biking trails, and the Des Moines Art Center. 5 minute drive to downtown! Less than a mile to Des Moines University and 12 minutes to the airport. Inhabited by a Irishman and Englishwoman, plus one crazy dog:-) LGBT friendly!

Our 1948 vacation home is on 4 acres & boasts 3 bedrooms, 3 full baths, 2 half baths, Bridal Suite (4th bedroom), 70s TV/Game Room, Tiki Bar, & Children's Playroom. Outside we have a pool (guaranteed to be open 5/26 - 9/5, but will do everything possible to have it open well before and after those dates based on weather!), hot tub (year round).
