Private suite vacation rentals in Port Alberni

The hosts were kind and communicative (despite my anxious dog not making a great first impression!). The hosts provided a fenced in 'back yard' area at the entrance to the suite, which made for many sunny hours lounging in the sun after a walk to the river at the back of the property. The interior of the suite is quite basic and not the most private (I believe their office is on the other side of the door in the living room area and not sound-proofed), and you must be sure to keep your food secured as there are a lot of ants in the suite/kitchen - but what the suite itself lacks is made up for by the sprawling green expanse of the farm and surrounding wildlife. The alpacas were curious and friendly, and my dog enjoyed watching the neighbour's geese down the road. Overall I think my dog enjoyed the property even more than the beaches we visited while in town. Thanks again for the stay! I would visit again just to sit at the river and bask in the forest.

We had an absolutely great stay! Eva was super helpful and kind. She gave us a ton of local recommendations for the pups and us. The space was cozy and met all our needs! Would definitely stay again!

June was easy to communicate with and generously gave us the amenities and space we needed to easily enjoy our stay. We wish we had stayed longer to enjoy the surroundings.

Lovely views and welcoming suite when we arrived.

We felt right at home. The kitchen was extremely well stocked. The hottub was such a nice way to finish off the day. The beach is just a block away. We thouroghly enjoyed out stay.

Our stay was truly special. The location is perfect—with unobstructed views of the ocean, and the soothing sounds of sea lions and birds in the background. The home is thoughtfully designed, and we had everything we needed to cook and feel at home. The bench with that view felt like a dream, the hot tub was incredibly relaxing, and the outdoor fireplace was the cherry on top. Bree was warm, welcoming, and very kind. We’d love to return!

We enjoyed our few days in Westlake while visiting our son in Nanaimo. Danielle’s place was spotless, clean and beautiful. The bed was super comfy and all the little extras were fantastic. The area is awesome. Highly recommend a morning walk around Westlake…gorgeous! Thanks for a great stay Danielle!

Well equipped modern suite with friendly helpful owner.

Perfect spot for our group of 5. The house was squeaky clean, spacious, and comfortable, and stocked with everything we needed. Loved relaxing on the deck to read and enjoy the view. Great location as a base to explore the coast. Just a few minutes to waterfront access for a beautiful beach walk, and good hiking nearby. Highly recommend:)

We had an excellent stay at Sherry’s place. The apartment was perfect for our long weekend in Nanaimo - the bed is super comfortable, the kitchen well equipped and everything is squeaky clean. We also liked the decor with matching colours, very tastefully done. We recommend Sherry’s apartment for an extremely comfortable stay, definitely 5 stars!

This place was just amazing in all areas. Perfect size space for you and your family as well. Has so much character inside and out and was one of the best places my girlfriend and I have been to, to just relax. Was so peaceful and such a beautiful view.

Alesia and Gleb are great hosts. Very responsive and provided clear instructions. They even left a few snacks for us and provided us with some morning essentials. They even had a lifted dog bowl for my pup. The place is in a beautiful, quite location with a small park nearby. We had a great sleep as the beds were very comfortable and everything was extremely clean. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this place.

We found the place clean, bright and well organized. The bedrooms were separated from each other and in a quiet location. The entrance was street level and parking was in driveway and/or on boulevard in front of house. Kitchen was well equipped and big windows for a brighter feel so you don’t feel like you’re in a basement at all! The bike storage was secure and large and held our 5 bikes easily. Hose for rinsing off bikes was handy after riding on muddy trail. The only thing was the queen bed was a little firmer than we like so we solved it with putting a memory foam topper on it and it was perfect but we know that we always bring the topper as we like our bed on the softer side. The location has easy access to the Cumberland trails and walkable to Main Street to cafe and restaurants, the town has a really nice vibe! We would not hesitate to come back to stay here and it’s easy access to Campbell River which has more beautiful flowy trails and the Fish & chips at Dicks were great!

We loved staying at Kerry's place. It was very cute and extremely cozy. It served as a home away from home while we explored Ladysmith and the surrounding area. We cannot recommend it enough.

So far our best Airbnb and we did a lot ! Everything you need ? You will found it ! Ron and Liz thought at everything, also they are really easy to talk, we appreciated our discussion with them ! We will recommend to our friend if they would like to visit Vancouver and even for us it will be our favorite place to come !

Peters place was impeccably clean and a very quality stay. He has many excellent recommendations in an informative booklet, check in and check out was easy, using dishes and cleaning them was extremely easy with the dishwasher, and the cherry on top was the gorgeous shower and bedding in the master bedroom. If you want to stay in a shiny clean, high end built bnb, I highly recommend booking the sunny side of the suite.

I had the pleasure to stay with Kalvin and Tabitha for a few times this year. The suite is clean and spacious, and the host family is very friendly and welcoming. They have some little ones and they are very quiet. The instruction is clear and easy to follow. Kalvin and Tabitha are easy to communicate and very responsive. So if you are visiting Nanaimo, make sure to stay with this awesome family.
