We are in the Southern Flinders Ranges with National Parks within easy reach. Pt. Germein is an historic Port town with 1.3 km wooden jetty, perfect for fishing and crabbing. The cottage is located in the grounds of St Clement's Anglican Church circa 1863 now a private residence. Only 23 kms from major rural city of Pt. Pirie. Cottage is self contained and would be described as bright and fresh set in an Australian native garden with undercover car parking.
“The cottage was very comfortable, spacious and had everything we needed. I was worried about being cold, but the heater and fireplace made it super cosy. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was spacious, kitchen wasn't huge but had everything we needed. Breakfast was lovely with fresh eggs, fruit, toast, crumpets, jam etc to make ourselves. The chocolates for our anniversary was nice touch. Tony was very helpful showing us what we needed to know and giving us advice about local places. A good base for exploring Mt Remarkable about 15-20 minutes drive away. Thank you!”
Experience the magnificent sunsets on the banks of Hughes Dam taking in the views of the Southern Flinders Ranges. Feel like you're miles from anywhere, come, rest and reconnect.
“Very comfortable and modern little cabin. It was nice laying in bed at night and hearing the fish and birds splash around in the dam, made for a nice relaxing ambience. We stayed 5 nights for a honeymoon getaway and everyday the cabin was cleaned and the bed was made and always had little goodies and surprises left for us to enjoy, even one day we had a cheese and fruit grazing board left for us. Andrea certainly knows how to make an impression and these are the sort of things that wow the customer and make them recommend this accommodation to other people.”
Our place is in the Southern Flinders Ranges; a lovely stopover on your way to the Flinders Ranges and beyond. We offer you a very cosy and comfortable cottage set on 18 acres surrounded by Australian native trees, a winter creek (the Rocky River), and a few friendly farm animals. There is a sofa bed in the living room and a single bed mattress under the bed, if you need for a child or third person.
“Erica's place is simple but very comfotable with lots of thoughtful touches. We were really warm and comfortable with the combustion heater and air con. The cottage is well equiped with generous provisions for the kitchen. There is lots of information and it was fun to be able to walk around the property with chooks, sheep and alpacas. Lucy the border collie is a friendly bonus. Ericas place is also excellent value for money. This part of South Australia is a bit of a hidden treasure. The monthly market was great.”
