The former gardener’s house, originally built in 1710, is nestled in the stunning natural landscape of the picturesque Holsteinische Schweiz, directly on the Schwentine River, one of Schleswig-Holstein’s longest rivers. In 2025, the house was lovingly restored with meticulous attention to detail. The result is a true gem situated directly opposite Schleswig-Holstein’s oldest manor estate. The surrounding landscape of lakes, fields, forests, and gentle hills lends the area its captivating charm.

The holiday apartment is about 100 m² in size, has 2 rooms, kitchen and bathroom. It is to level earth and has its own entrance. It has its own terrace and is located to the south side of the house. Rooms are furnished with antique furniture. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, oven, fridge. The bathroom has a large corner bathtub and a double sink. In the living room there is a large flat screen TV. And many shelves with books to suit every taste.

In addition, the train station is about a 5-minute walk away and you can reach Kiel Central Station or the Schusterstadt Preetz within 10 minutes. You can end the day optimally on the loggia (SO orientation). Wifi, smart TV with streaming services & bike parking available.

It has a private entrance with dining area and kitchenette, plus separate living and sleeping spaces. A spacious garden and the jetty with direct lake access are available for shared use. We welcome up to four guests—families with children or water travelers included.
