Stay in the Storybook Cottage at the Holliday Castle! The Storybook Cottage is a tiny crooked fairytale house located behind our home (which is being converted into a castle!) Enjoy the view from your private back porch! Close to ski resort!
“Jill and her family are amazing hosts! We were greeted by kittens and chickens upon arrival. Jill got us settled into the cottage and introduced us to the family pet, a turkey, named Pumpkin. The decor is delightful and has a fairytale theme. We never needed to turn on the tv, we had plenty of games to play and things to see. The barn cats are so sweet! It snowed during the night and we woke up to a beautiful view of a sunrise over the snowy pond. Jill's two youngest sons came outside and played in the snow with my daughter. Everything about this place has a touch of magic about it. We will be visiting again in the spring for sure!”

“This place was an immaculately clean, adorable little place with a great hostess. I wasn’t sure what to expect because the location was a little strange— in a rural college town next to an apartment building— I assure you that it was charming and safe. As an added bonus, near a decent selection of restaurants safely open during covid and good hikes. It was a much more pleasant alternative to staying in a chain hotel on the way home from NC. I loved the birdfeeders and deer!”
On Tallery Mountain in Summers County, WV, it's almost Heaven to just sit on the back porch and watch the sunset. In the heart of white water rafting, curvy motorcycle roads and golf courses, comfortable quarters are guaranteed after a hike or a day of fishing on the Bluestone or New Rivers. Within 90 minutes is the Blue Ridge Parkway, New River Bridge, Pipestem, Bluestone, Babcock and Hawks Nest State Parks, The Greenbrier Resort, Tamarack, and historic Lewisburg.
“Our stay at this cabin was terrific. Far away from civilization with nothing but bird noises while eating our breakfast on the porch each morning. The fire pit was perfect for our nightly s’mores session and Carolyn was great to communicate with. Always quick and helpful. We found plenty of things to do in Pipestem Park and had a great dinner at The Owl Supper Club. Grocery store is about 20 minutes away, so shop wisely to avoid having to make an extra trip. I traveled with my 5 year old son who had a blast (just watch the staircase to the top floor as railing bars are extremely far apart).”
