Our holiday homes are a wonderful base for families and large groups wishing to explore the beautiful South Downs National Park.
“What a find!! A gem of a place that is so generously equipped, spotlessly clean, comfortable and warm (a godsend for a late October break!). Whilst the pictures and description are completely accurate, when we arrived we were still blown away by how lovely the accommodation was. We were able to start enjoying some much needed family time the second we walked through the door. We came as a group with friends, and there was plenty of room for 4 adults, 4 children and 3 dogs to enjoy being together but also have their own space (if needed). The children (ranging from 3 to 14) loved having the run of the upstairs to themselves with lots of games and brilliant WiFi! Even better whilst many places purport to be dog friendly, this really is! Venetia is the perfect host who responds quickly to any messages, and has loads of useful information about the local area. We followed a couple of the suggestions and No Name pub and the Hawkley Arms were both a lovely walk away. Venetia has pretty much thought of everything you would need to ensure you have the perfect family holiday. We will definitely be returning!”
A stylish converted barn set in the grounds of a Georgian Lodge within the South Downs National Park. Conveniently located close to the picturesque market towns of Alresford, Petersfield, Alton and historic Winchester, it is an ideal base to both explore Hampshire and kick back and relax in luxury.
“The barn is a beautiful place to stay for a couple of nights or more. It’s really well fitted out with lovely little touches like Sonos speakers and neal’s yard toiletries as well as ‘dimmer’ lights and a big bath tub. The bed is much bigger than your average double and one of the comfiest mattresses I’ve ever slept on. But what really makes it is the location, nestled in beautiful countryside and oh so peaceful. Emma and Sam are great hosts, too, particularly enjoyed the offer of breakfast and dinner, which were both lovely. Thanks so much for having us, we’d definitely return.”
This little retreat offering CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST is situated within the walled garden and is adjacent to a charming footpath which leads to the old Church of St Johns where the famous Thomas Lord, founder of the Lords cricket ground, is buried. The barn consists of a large airy room with dual-aspect windows, complete with a charming private en-suite with bath and hand-held shower. A comfy, French-feel with the door leading to a pretty cottage garden for you to relax and make yourself at home.
“The room is set in a beautiful village and is perfectly placed to get out and about to enjoy the wonderful countryside. The room is immaculate and clean, the bed comfortable and the little extras such as fresh milk, bread croissants etc make it superb. The bathroom gives a choice of bath or shower, and the whole room is well furnished with everything you need. Bernadette is an amazing host. Very quick to respond, and very helpful with any queries or questions. Makes some great recommendations for dinner etc so if you have never visited before then you will always get good advice and maximise your stay. I really enjoyed my stay here and would certainly recommend to anyone else.”
