Vacation rentals in Qaasuitsup Municipality

Cozy home with a nice, great view! The house is small, but in return easy to heat and it was nice and warm upon arrival. It was marked by being empty for a few days, as there were dead flies around, just like the windowsills were a bit sticky. Especially the bathroom was a bit spartan, but everything worked as it should, including a good (and hot!) shower. The kitchen was well equipped with both basic items (coffee, tea, sugar, flour, etc.) and utensils, including kitchen weight. In addition, a washing machine in the entrance. Slightly unstable dining table, but otherwise a good place to work (wifi worked impeccably throughout the cabin!). However, be aware that sometimes there can be some loud music from the nearby institute, which I had no problems with. There are a lot of loose dogs walking around, which can create some unusual noise, even at night, but otherwise, it's peaceful. On concern on behalf of some puppies under the large neighboring house, Mike was quick to answer my message and help.

Had a small problem checking in, which was quickly resolved with Suulut. In the cottage, everything is exactly as described, simple but very practical and everything important is there. For example, we enjoyed the sofa very much. Great place to stay for this price in this central location in Ilulissat.

We booked Mike’s place at the very last minute (flight delays). It’s a spacious house with amazing views. Everything works as it should; it’s warm, comfortable and quiet. Probably the best aspect of the place is Mike himself, who is incredibly responsive, helpful and informative. If we come back to Ilulissat we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Top marks.

Fantastic views, the house has everything one needs. When something broke down, it was fixed within an hour of us calling the contact number -- fantastic! My only qualm was the fact that you have to pay for WiFi per hour or per day, it is fairly expensive, and blocks hotspots, so you need to pay for each device.

Very comfortable and cozy cottage, with complete calm, easy access by a wooden staircase from the road, very well-equipped kitchen and basic products far beyond the usual standards (about fifteen different spices for cooking!). As already mentioned, everything is within walking distance in a maximum of 20 minutes: the city center and the hiking trails. Very good restaurant in the immediate vicinity (icefjord hotel restaurant) and Anders offers its services to help plan the stay. We used him to book the taxi to return to the airport. The most amazing thing is obviously the view, panoramic thanks to the wide bay windows. The light and appearance of icebergs and water change dramatically throughout the day, and what sunrises and sunsets!!! A wonder.

Anders is truly one of a kind. He has been amazing from the very beginning. He is friendly, kind, responsive and thoughtful about making the whole stay and experience amazing. The house was amazing and as advertised. He also assisted us with finding some incredible tours whilst in Ilulissat. If you come to Greenland you must stay at one of his places. He really has a passion for this and it shines through. Our holiday would not have been the same without him. Thank you mate.
