We absolutely loved this house and the super peaceful yard and creekside. Great location 10 minutes from downtown state college. Such a cozy beautiful farmhouse. We can’t wait to book this place again!!

Lovely, unique place. We were a group of 6-8 and we had no issues with space. The place had all the amenities you would want. Superb spot, would stay again.

This is a beautiful historical home that has been modernized. There is a lot of the original home that is in there (fireplaces and such) and it gives the home a glimpse into its past. It was big enough for six of us and there were things on site for the little ones yet the rooms were cozy. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment and lots of things in the pantry. We loved the convenience to the local town since we were there for a family event. The location is nice and quiet so that was a huge plus for all of us. This is a nice, hidden gem in a historic town that you really don’t want to miss

Chris was amazing to deal with! Super responsive and accommodating! The house was so clean and had very comfortable furniture and beds. The little yard was perfect to bring our little dog! We would highly recommend this place and Will definitely try to stay here again! Thank you for a relaxing 2 days with our Penn State freshman!

This property was perfect for our visit to Juniata College. The weather cooperated and we were able to enjoy the evening and morning on the porch. There were so many details throughout the house to make us feel welcome- we'll definitely be back!

Everything was amazing. I would have liked if the cell signal was better but im camping so that's not a big deal. it would be nice if there were more trails onsight. only a few fishing spots u could reach. And a boat would cost 800 a day which I couldn't afford. But all that said, litteraly everything else was perfect. Beautiful location, great ppl and they provided everything you need for a camping trip. I will definitely be back.

My husband and I only live about 35 minutes from the condo and we decided to have a weekend away. It was fabulous the place was very clean and felt like home and sherry responded very quickly which was a plus. We are definitely staying again !!

Location, ambience inside and out, roominess, cleanliness, decor, and price are outstanding for this Blue Knob house. All 7 of us had plenty of space and the laundry, deck, parking, street quietness were all above and beyond. Modern appliances combined with the colors and pictures and furnishings to give that ski mountain getaway, yet elegant feel. Don't hesitate to check it out. Thanks!

Great location. Great host. Great vibe.

The wooded mountain setting is just relaxing and the stress of the world’s problems melted away during the drive up the mountain. I would strongly recommend checking in during daylight, especially if there is fog (or snow in winter). This is a ski resort and the roads are mountain ski resort roads and visibility can be sketchy in weather. Never had time to use the resort amenities but they were very close and looked very nice. On one of my puppy walks I saw a common area with a fire pit pre-stocked with wood. Wish I had time to use it. Booking was smooth and hosts were very responsive even after hours. E-locks made check in easy. Nice K-cup coffee selection was a life saver. Bathroom was good sized and spotless. Wife is a clean freak and didn’t utter a peep! A primary concern of my wife and I is sleep comfort. The mattress was more COMFORTABLE than the one at home - not the cheap mats you find at some airbnbs. Heaters looked new and took the chill off the rainy nights perfectly.

Went for labor day weekend- it was so beautiful and secluded, quiet peaceful I would say. The pool was amazing , great for the kids. Barbara is very responsive and answers any questions you may have. Charles is a delight with good conversations. Great hospitality from both of them 😊 Make sure to bring everything you might need since the place is secluded and not too close from many stores. I would definitely come back to Barbara’s. Thank you for a great stay!

Great place very quiet and safe

The place was cozy and comfortable. All the bedding and furniture was dated but comfortable. I really enjoy my stay overall as it was close to the ski slope and provided a nice place to relax. My two complaints are that the showers are very finicky about temperature, the would go from burning hot to freezing cold without doing anything and that the dishwasher is broken so we had to hand-wash all the dishes we used.

My husband and I had a relaxing time and Adrienne and Drew’s. The place was scenic and peaceful. We loved the surroundings from the horses and chickens to watching the deer , the place is a must for any nature lover, we even saw a bald eagle taking flight at the river , what a beautiful sight !The river is near and kayaking / fishing was a great past time .We met Drew and Adrienne during our stay and they were very hospitable and responsive hosts . Definitely a wonderful place !!

I stayed there for 3 nights with my wife and 2 kids. We loved it, the place is great to get calm and unwind. Loved the outdoors, there are hiking trails you can explore. Kids loved the swings. The house itself is a true rustic as it should be. Huge fireplace inside. The doors and windows all have bug screens. There are also board games you can play. What really added to the right mood was the old vinyl record player! Would definitely stay again!

honestly one of the best places I've ever stayed. thank you for creating such a beautiful place. with that said everything was within walkable distance. and Gettysburg was only like 30 minutes away. I highly recommend this place for anybody doing Gettysburg Civil War tour. five stars

What a steal in a wonderful little cottage in the banks of the fabled banks of the Little J. Had everything we needed and just out of the way enough to make u feel like u were all alone. Beautiful place, gorgeous views of the stars, and fantastic surprise cookies at check in! Communication with Heather was clear and pleasant. Would highly recommend and stay again.

The place was quaint and clean. Full amenities. Stairs to 2nd floor a bit tough to negotiate. We would definitely stay here again.

We just returned from our trip where our Penn State son met us for a weekend getaway (an hour from State College). The house was just beautiful with charming decor that was clearly lovingly chosen. The supermarket was conveniently close by and the very well equipped kitchen allowed us to cook an Easter feast. The house was impressively clean, the beds were comfortable, there were lots of gathering areas, and we enjoyed hiking down to the lake. Jill was very responsive. We would definitely stay again.

The house was easy to find, spacious and clean. Instructions for check in and check out were clear and easy to follow. We only spent one night there, so we didn't get to see too much of the area. We did however get to go to Shy Bear Brewing and Easter End Coffee Co. We enjoyed both places and in town we enjoyed seeing the different painted goose statues.

This is definitely a hidden gem! A home away from home, with all things needed and those you don’t know you need until you do! Last but not least the location couldn’t be more perfect for getting around town not to mention a great view of the beautiful surroundings!
