The quiet location right by the conservation area does not exclude a very good transport connection. Public transport to the city center and the main train station can be reached in a few minutes on foot. By car, you can reach the A52 in 3 minutes. Essen trade fair: about 10 minutes; Düsseldorf trade fair: about 30 minutes Düsseldorf Airport: about 20 minutes; CentrO: about 25 minutes (each by car)

Our non-smoking apartment is located in a quiet 4-family house in a cul-de-sac in the immediate vicinity of Nordsternpark, the starting point of many bike tours (industrial route). The Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex with the Ruhr Museum is about 4 km away. The gasometer in Oberhausen, Tetraeder in Bottrop, Duisburg Landscape Park, Centr O shopping center, and much more can be reached quickly. The location is very central in Gelsenkirchen, so you can reach your destinations in no time, including the Veltins Arena with public transport in under 30 min or the city center on foot in 5 min. Enjoy the stunning view over the Ruhr area or explore the adjacent park. If you arrive by car, parking in the nearby surroundings is free. I look forward to your visit!

Modern 3-room apartment with large roof terrace

Enjoy your stay in this stylish 3-room apartment on the upper floor of a well-maintained two-family house. Ideal for solo travelers, couples or business travelers looking for comfort and tranquility. The apartment is located in a quiet play street, away from the hustle and bustle, but still centrally located. The Zollverein colliery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is just a 10-minute walk away. The nearest train station with several connections to the city is also a 10-minute walk away.

A wonderful, modern flat in the heart of Bochum

The flat is slightly bigger than 30m2 and comes with a living-/sleeping-area, a kitchen and a bathroom. The whole furniture is quite new and you can find all you need in here. Fast Wi-Fi is included, the bed is 1,40m x 2,00m and the kitchen is fully equipped. There is a 40" TV with Netflix, which you can use for free. You can find supermarkets, restaurants, bars and public transport within walking distance, the beautiful Westpark is just around the corner!

Small attic apartment

Small attic apartment, great for staying overnight. Simple basic equipment is available. Fresh towels, soap, and fresh bed linens are provided. No dishwasher No washing machine No Wi-Fi. The bus station is about 500 meters from the house. In 12 minutes by bus to Essen city center. 20 minutes to Essen central train station. Netto and Aldi are right at your doorstep. Laundromat, DM, Rewe, Edeka, hairdresser, post office/DHL are 2 km away.

Quiet guest room - private entrance, private bathroom

We rent our small guest room (... it is ONE room, even if Airbnb lists the living room and bedroom separately in the pictures) with its own bathroom and entrance. The room has a bed 80x200 cm, which can be quickly widened to 160x200 cm. The room is "only" about 13 sqm (plus bathroom), but otherwise everything you need for a short stay: a wardrobe, 2 chairs, a table, refrigerator, the possibility to make coffee and tea... cups, plates, cutlery ...

Living World Heritage Site Zollverein

The newly renovated centrally located apartment in Essen Katernberg with free Wi-Fi is a 5-minute walk from the Zollverein World Heritage Site (9 km from Grugahalle). It has a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, dryer and cozy sitting area. The apartment also has two bedrooms with sleeping accommodations for 4 people and a bathroom with a bathtub. Yep towels and linen all included. Private terraces and garden area.

Architectural experience in a former farm barn

The Dortmannhof is a listed former farm from the 18th century. It is located in the middle of the big city of Essen, but still centrally located and at the tram and subway stop. Within walking distance is the site of the UNESCO World Heritage Zollverein as well as a network of bicycle paths. The Berlin architect Prof. Sigurd Larsen has designed a guest unit in the form of a "house in a house" that is freely accessible and rented here.

Super nice, renovated and newly furnished apartment "Haldenblick" offers 55 square meters of space for 4 people! 15 minutes (by bus) from the Veltins Arena! Very centrally and conveniently located close to the A42, A52 and A40. An S-Bahn stop is a 5-minute walk away, while the tram and bus stops are a 2-minute walk away. The apartment was completely renovated in April 2024 - with fresh colors and stylish furnishings!
