Our vacation home is located in a wildly romantic side valley between Hunsrück and Moselle and is only 9 km away from the well-known wine town of Zell Moselle. In Altlay, about 1.5 km away, there is a restaurant. Our vacation home is surrounded by forest and meadows. The Altlayer Bach flows right by the house. The picturesque, 200-year-old quarry stone building was renovated in 2022 and has a new bathroom, kitchen, underfloor heating and an open fireplace.

The 13th century castle sits above the village of Gemünden, also called "the pearl of the Hunsrück". The beautiful and spacious rooms offer plenty of space and peace and a unique historical experience. Thanks to the thick castle walls, it is also pleasant and of course cool in high summer. The house is located in a small place with only 300 inhabitants in a quiet side street. In the immediate vicinity is the village fountain. In summer, cows graze with their calves a few meters from the house. Your apartment is about 55 square meters and suitable for up to 4 adults. Parking is available right in front of the house. It's just a few hundred meters to the forest or the nearest hiking trail (Klingelflos dream loop).
