“Brian’s place is exactly as shown. Beach is so close and the waves all night are amazing to hear. Coffee provided was an amazing touch to sit and drink and watch the waves in the morning. You won’t need to bring any blankets, bath towels, cooking supplies, beach chairs, wood or bottled water as it is all provided for you here! Things to bring - beach towels, pillows, long lighter for beach fire, water shoes and fly spray/swat (if rain is coming they will swarm you). All in all a perfect getaway for a quiet and relaxing time.”
Our place is on Long Lake in Alpena/Presque Isle area, less than 10 miles from downtown Alpena and Lake Huron. Perfect for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families with children. The lake is an all sports (stocked) lake with great fishing. There is a dock available (seasonal) for your use and several boat launches nearby. The area is perfect for ice fishing and snowmobiling in the winter. We are also close to state hunting land.
“The cottage was absolutely beautiful. The cottage was clean and perfect when we arrived. Elizabeth and her husband were extremely friendly and helpful. Pots, Pans, Dishes, Drink Glasses, you name it they were provided! The beds and couches were cozy and comfy! Towels were provided for both swimming in the lake and showers. They included a helpful binder with pamphlets of things to do and places to eat. Overall my family and I absolutely enjoyed our stay!”
We are sharing our vintage 1959 camper. It doesn’t offer much amenities but it’s a great place to hang your hat, if you’re looking for an inexpensive place to stay. You are welcome to use our bathroom facility and our outdoor living space.
“My husband surprised me with a night at Debbie and Klaus’ charming vintage 1959 RV. Debbie and Klaus are a gem of a couple and having the opportunity to learn about their own incredible adventures was such a pleasure! The RV is nestled away in a gorgeous, tranquil garden that looks like it came right out of Better Home & Gardens Magazine! The RV is clean, cozy and the beds are so comfortable! I fell right to sleep after stargazing in the garden with husband! If you are looking for a one-of-kind place to rest and recharge, I would definitely recommend booking a stay with Debbie and Klaus!”
