Hosted in a typical Rwandan house, with an unobstructed view of the magnificent Lake Kivu, this large room is ideal for anyone setting off for an adventure on the Congo Nile Trail or for some kayaking on the Lake. Use our kitchen to treat yourself to some freshly caught 'Isambaza'. Grilled for a few minutes, they're a perfect evening snack.
“The place is clean just like the photos. It a a private room and nice private rock wall bathroom inside the room. The room is inside a bicycle shop. Kitchen is shared. Joanna does not live here but there are two full time employees who live there. Kazungu lives at the shop, he offered me food when I arrived. I paid for the ingredients and Kazungu taught me how to cook Rwandan food everyday (vegetarian food and Tilapia). Kazungu’s cooking is better than restaurant food. Kazungu’s Rwandan hospitality is amazing!!!”
Double bedrooms available in this gorgeous apartment based in Goma residential area. From your room, you will have a clear view of Nyiragongo Volcano, during the night you could see the blaze coming out from the crater. The neighborhood is nice and peaceful with ULPGL University, the 2nd-best university in the DR Congo. Clean and spacious for tourists and experienced travelers, the place gives you a chance to encounter both locals and other travelers (guests) from the Europe, USA and Canada.
“Unfortunately it's hard to find a great place with afforable accomodation in Goma and staying with Veridique provided just that! I booked last minute and got quick and clear communication to feel secure on where to go and everything. The place feels very safe and is spotlessly clean. It is also very welcoming and homely and I could use the living room as much as I wanted. I also had my own room with a great bed and the bathroom (that is shared but pretty much felt like my own during ny stay) is spacious and clean. On a clear day you can indeed see the light from Nyiragongo very well, very cool, although it is mostly visible from the kitchen as far as I know. Location is not that far from the center but you will need to take a mototaxi to see it. The surroundings are nice to walk around in daytime though. The best part of the stay was that I got some great help and eating company from Trésor, who I was staying with while Veridique was of on work-travel. He gave good advice and inspiration for my Nyiragongo trek and rented me a good sleeping bag. He also managed so I could get good food, cooked by the friendly housekeeper, for 10USD/day so I didnt have to eat out in expensive Goma. Further he helped me get a good SIM-card and finally he even managed to find me a great seamstress who fixed a pair of pants I bought that were too big in size. Overall a great place that I would recommend anyone who wants to see a bit of Goma!”
We welcome you in our calm and peaceful house, located near the border Rwanda-DRC. For some family reasons, we regret to not be able to continue to host unmarried couples!
“Nice place where it’s particularly beautiful to hear birds singing from dawn to dusk. The place is at a walking distance from the beach and not far from the center. Adili is a very kind host always ready to help. We had some great conversations together. The house is well secured and guarded by Venuste. The room isn’t excessively big but there’s enough place to move and put whatever luggage one carry. The living room attached to the dining room can be used to take breakfast and other meals. The water isn’t always running but it’s not very different from many other places in Rwanda. I really enjoyed that place and would definitely recommend it. ”
