  • Appalachian Farm and Mountain Trail Ride
Ride. Restore. (Re)connect. Picture yourself meandering through the idyllic, mountain-framed grounds of an old 300-acre dairy farm located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. On each side you’re surrounded by some of the most stunning flora and fauna in the Eastern US. The two-hour horseback ride takes place on Evan’s family farm in rural Barnardsville, NC. Lovingly referred to as “The Dairy,” the farm was operated from the 1930s until 2008 and has a history almost as beguiling as the land it’s on. (To boot: it used to sell milk to the famous Biltmore Estate!) We’ll begin the trail ride by getting to know each other and our horses. After that, I’ll briefly explain the ins and outs of horseback riding. Whether you’re a seasoned rider or first-timer, a kid or a retiree, it doesn’t matter; anyone can do it. Then we’ll be off, gaining 400 feet of elevation and a lifetime of memories. As a longtime rider and horse enthusiast, I own and operate my business with the mission of giving my guests an unforgettable horseback riding experience. I am convinced that everyone can take something meaningful from mountain trail rides, whether it’s connecting with nature, enjoying a rare moment of solitude, or familiarizing themselves with the incredible equine world. My rides are intimate, resulting in a semi-private riding experience designed to meet the needs of each rider.
