Places to stay in Arco
Welcome! This charming farmhouse is located within minutes of world class fishing, great hiking, and other outdoor recreation. The house is fully furnished to make your stay easy and relaxing. We hope you enjoy your stay in the BoLo Bungalow.
You are staying in Grandpa Boyd and Grandma Lois's house aka BoLo. This home has been the stopping point of hundreds of relatives and friends over the decades. Don't be surprised if someone stops by requesting a Schwann's ice cream push up, Grandma's signature treat to the weary passers by, (I'm kidding). This cute home sits on the corner of adventure. Up Little Wood Road is hiking, camping, fishing, water sports and all around beauty. North on highway 93 is the Gateway to National monuments such as Craters of the Moon (24miles), Mount Borah (Idaho's tallest Peak) and yes even Yellowstone! (3 and half hour drive). South and then west is the scenic byway you'll take to the Famous Sun Valley, Idaho. Great fly fishing and ski resort. We are truly central to almost every type of recreation imaginable. We hope you enjoy your stay.
We are located just minutes from iconic trout fishing, great hunting, Craters of the Moon National Monument, Sun Valley Ski Resort, tons and tons of hiking like Mt. Borah (Idaho's tallest peak).

There are so many places that we would encourage you to see within an hour driving distance of our retreat. Some of our favorites are: Mine Hill, Mt. Borah (tallest mountain in Idaho), Craters of the Moon, Mackay Museum, Borah Earthquake Fault, Lower Cedar Creek Falls, Challis (many ghost towns), Goldbug Hotsprings, Mackay Reservoir, Copper Basin, and the Big Lost River. One of the most famous draws of Mackay is the public lands and trails available to off-road vehicles. The City of Mackay is also off-road vehicle friendly.

Positioned in the middle of the Pioneer Farm, you’ll have access to the full experience of farming fields, cattle corrals, natural streams, and beautiful mountain views! King Mountain Ranch was a stage coach stop during the opening of the west. Thought to be a sacred place to the Native Americans still nearby, one can find Indian paintings along the mountains rock walls.
We live 1 hour from Craters of the Moon. If you’re a hunter, and have your tags, this is a great place to go hunting. The land has plenty of deer and the mountains have many elk on them. If you’re an animal lover this is a great place to see wild animals in their natural habitat, just try not to hit them with your car.
We love living out here where we have a great view just by looking out our window! We have wild deer, elk, and turkey roaming around the mountains and trees.
  • Hyrum and Veronica are kind and thoughtful hosts and the space they offer is comfortable, clean and cozy. I had a terrific weekend exploring the beauty of the area and then coming back for a hot shower and good night’s sleep. Bonus: you can’t get a better view than the one outside their front door!

  • Veronica and Hyrum's home is a true western farm area surrounded with beautiful views. Their home is super clean, comfortable, and they are extremely friendly people. They are welcome to answer any questions about living in Idaho as they appreciate life there. I will definitely stay at their place again if I'm traveling by one day!

  • Lovely setting with a warm young family.

    Kathryn2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice couple. The room and available restroom was clean and comfortable. My first AirBNB experience, not really knowing what to expect, I was pleasantly surprised. They even had a new toothbrush in the restroom if I were to need. I would certainly recommend them to others.

The Mackay Mansion was built in 1902 as a Company house for guests who came to invest in the local copper mine. It is a three story Victorian. It has maintained most of it originality. The furnishings are set in the time period of the early 1900s. Beautiful wrap around deck with views.
    Friendly environment.
One block away from local coffee shop, restaurant, bars and theater. Park across the street. Hunting and fishing, hiking within 3 miles.
  • The decor is unique and feels like a museum of the Old West!

    Gayla2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • The Mackay Mansion is an amazing home. There is so much character and history in it. It's over 100 years old but Alice maintains it very well. I don't have one single negative comment. My stay far exceeded my expectations. I would stay there again and I recommend it to everyone.

    Jay2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Alice Marie is the consummate host! She is so friendly, respectful, and very thoughtful. She provided thoughtful touches to make our stay extra special. Of all the Airbnb hosts I've met over the years, she takes the (birthday) cake! Plus, the Mansion is really cool! And the location is ideal for exploring all the wilds in that part of Idaho. I really really hope we cross paths again. Six out of five stars!

    Shaun2019-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Alice warmly welcomed me the moment I arrived and continued the kind hospitality until the moment I left. The food was great, the house was amazing and full of history, and she had no shortage of recommendations in and around the area. I look forward to returning!

  • The host was so sweet! The home was so cool and right in the heart of Mackay. She was so hospitable and kind. She made us a delicious breakfast and even introduced us to some of her friends when we saw her in town. What a great place to stay! We can’t wait to go back and stay with her again! 10/10 loved our experience at the Mackay Mansion

Our two large Champagne Creek Yurts are right off a county road, yet very private. They are only 10 minutes from Craters of the Moon! Bring your own sleeping bags and snuggle down in The Hemingway Yurt. We offer four beds with twin mattresses. The Champagne Yurt is dedicated to rustic kitchen use- including a prep area, propane stove, and family table. "Rustic" means no power and no shower, but we provide lanterns. There is a separate bathroom. This is the most unique night around!
Champagne Creek Yurts are a wonderful spot to unwind in rustic style. The Thoreau Yurt is carpeted and includes 4 beds with mattresses, shelves, and a library of books! You do need to bring your own sleeping bags! The Champagne Yurt includes workspace, basic kitchen necessities, a propane stove, and family table. The bathroom is a separate and clean toilet! A hand-pumped well is a great way to get your water! A generator hides in a shed in case you need a little power. This is the ideal headquarters to explore the Pioneer Mountains and enjoy yurting in style!
Our neighbors are the livestock, the wildlife and the brilliant night sky! You may see owls, deer, moose, bears, coyotes, sage grouse, hawks, or cattle while staying at our yurts. There is no WIFI nor cell service at the yurts, but you can update devices at the main ranch area. Although your yurts feel remote and rustic, you are only 20 minutes from grocery, hospital, and gas station. Quite often our travelers fly into SLC or BOI airports and tour Yellowstone, Glacier, Teton, and Craters. The closest commercial airport is Idaho Falls (IDA). We are located 20 miles from Arco (not in Arco), just 10 miles from Craters of the Moon. These yurts are nestled at the foot of the Pioneer Mountains right off the county road. Biking, hiking and horseback riding are great ways to get around! They are located on a working ranch, so you may see cows and cowboys during your stay, alongside all our wildlife!
  • The yurts are huge! We were a large group but had more than enough room. The beds are comfortable and the propane stoves keep it nice and toasty. There isn't a sink, so we made do washing dishes with buckets/pots we found and heating water up on the stove. Anne was a very gracious host, and I would highly recommend staying here if you have to chance. We definitely plan on going back!

    Jeanie2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • The Yurts at Champaign Creek are a perfect place to get off the grid! It was just me and my kiddos, and while I am not an experienced camper or even a very enthusiastic one, the yurts were great! Anne and her family made sure we knew our way around, and helped me with my questions in advance. The Yurts are a perfect for those of us not so sure about this whole camping thing 😂. The kitchen was stocked with coffee and utensils, the propane heaters were turned in and the mattresses had fresh sheets on them when we arrived. The directions on how to find the yurts were clear and I highly recommend this place for novices like me or expert outdoors folks just looking for a "camping light" experience!

    Megan2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • What a great little spot! It was a little more tucked away than we had anticipated but the kids absolutely loved seeing all the cows. The beds were crazy comfortable and the kids actually slept in them too! We were excited about the heat being on too since it was quite cold at night. My son also really loved looking at all the books. Thanks for a lovely time!

    Hilary2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome weekend getaway in the woods.

    Liz2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • This remote yurt was so peaceful. Definitely prepare to be off the grid. For the outdoor enthusiast this is a true gem!

    Randi2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Anne's yurt is one of the coolest Airbnb options I have tried. It is located in the middle of nowhere. So, it is peaceful and offers great setting for star gazing. Can't wait to come back here!

  • Great place!! Would totally recommend it for the experience!! My family and I enjoyed it very much thank you Anne!!!!!

    Vee2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • The most amazing spot- I had beautiful morning runs along the road and love the quiet and the night sky. I also loved being off-line and preparing food by lantern. Super sweet get away!

Antelope Creek Cabin is next to the largest peaks in Idaho, and next to the largest wilderness are in the continuous United States. We offer a luxury cabin with three comfortable bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a large living hall.
Antelope Creek Cabin is owned and operated by Mike Webb and Carol Darrington Webb. Mike and Carol have a long history of farming and ranching in Idaho. Seeing Moore as a farming opportunity, they bought the Antelope Creek Ranch. This includes Antelope Creek Cabin and the first brick house at the corner of Highway 93 and Antelope Creek Road. The cabin was built to be the first exemplar model home along Antelope road next to the ranch. The Webb’s have since turned it into a luxury cabin. It is a frequent destination for many visitors that need to take a vacation in a place away from the hustle and bustle of daily life
