Places to stay in Back Bay
Our little cottage is located directly on the Bay of Fundy on a peninsula. We are approximately 30 minute drive along the coast to St. Andrews. Very private and scenic!
The space has an open concept living and kitchen area so you can enjoy your family all together, this open space open up onto a beautiful verandah with a stunning view of the Bay of Fundy. The bedrooms both have double beds and our bathroom has a lovely stand up shower unit. The space is very clean and serene. We will have a fire pit so you can enjoy our beautiful summer evenings sitting around the camp fire talking about your daily adventures or get out your guitar and have a sing song. Whatever you enjoy, you will enjoy it at this peaceful, private cottage location!
Our neighborhood is a very quiet fishing village. From your front deck you will enjoy watching the local fishermen going about their day from the Back Bay wharf across the bay. We are close to many tourist attractions such as beautiful St. Andrews, Greene's Point Lighthouse, New River Beach, Hopewell Rocks, Ministers Island, Reversing Falls, Lake Utopia, and St. George Gorge just to name a few. We have a couple golf courses near by if you enjoy a game of golf. We have several companies that offer whale watching and also have a local vendor that sells fresh seafood, open year round!

  • We had a great time at your beautiful cottage. We really enjoyed every minute! Watching the tide come in and out was an amazing spectacle.

  • Nice cottage, very quiet. Very clean and well equiped. Near many attractions around like Deer Island, St-Stephen, St Andrews.... We enjoyed our stay.

    Anne2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a week at Susan’s cottage the last week of August and had a wonderful time. The area was quiet and private but it wasn’t secluded. We used Susan’s guide book and guest book to give us hints on the best spots to visit and were never bored or disappointed. Susan was always quick to answer any questions we had and was a wonderful host. It was especially cool to see the tides from the cottage! I would highly recommend going to “The Niger reef” in St Andrews, and “Tipsy Tails,” on the way back from hopewell rocks in Alma, as these are both hidden gems.

    Lauren2019-08-25T00:00:00Z

  • Thanks, we loved the place and the location. Morning sunrises were spectacular. Even in October you could sit on the deck in the sun and enjoy a morning cup of coffee. Super clean and comfortable. Great place!

  • It’s a great place to stay close to everything. Sun rise us amazing.

    Jane2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic space with a great view of the ocean. Location is perfect to see the area. The lighthouse is a quick drive away and the home is close to some great restaurants. The owners also own a restaurant. We weren't able to go as it was a holiday, but next visit we will make our way there! The home was perfect. Games, blankets, and thoughtful additions (check out the bathroom door) made for some great memories.

    Brandon2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I spent 4 days at Kristy & Kenny's cottage. The location was ideal for exploring the very far northern Maine coast and the accommodations fit our needs perfectly. Highly recommend Campobello Island - the hikes and views are beautiful and the history of the island was quite interesting. Also recommend Quoddy Head State Park. Able to hike along a ridge as well as wander along a very nice beach and it is only minutes from the cottage. Special touch that I so appreciated was a large display in the cottage of all kinds of brochures re: the area. If/when we visit the Maine coast again we would definitely stay here.

    Linda2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Easy to find, very clean, and also awesome interior design. Great hosts!

  • What is wonderful about this quiet room with a private entrance in the beautiful town of Saint Andrews, NB, is the smiling face that greets you at his open door as you arrive! Unlike many B&B’s that send you an impersonal entrance code, Dave is always around and sending out a warm hello from his open door, kitchen window or yard. He helps you in with your bags, gives you a rundown of the place and lets you know whom else is staying with him. I would stay here again and again! :)

  • Great place for glamping. Our tent had all the comforts of home. And our own bathroom, though in order to shower must walk to shared building. Everything was clean and just as advertised. Breakast was good. Along the lines of continental breakfast. Michael was friendly. In shared building there is a massage chair, it is the cadillac of massage chairs. Check it out.

Ever dreamed of finding private seaside solitude on the rocky Maine coast? Camelot sits upon an isolated thirty-foot cliff overlooking the Atlantic. At high tide, waves crash against the sandstone rocks. At low tide, a hundred feet of beach is revealed for shell collecting, clam digging and rock skipping. With no roads within a half mile, you might not see another soul during your stay. Enjoy peaceful off-grid cabin life. Campfire cookouts, stunning views, and cozy beds.
Camelot is a 420 sq.ft. A-frame cabin built by my father in 1965, and completely renovated in 2018. It has a small upstairs loft with a twin bed, perfect for kids. On the main floor it has a queen bed, a sofa, another twin bed, and coffee table. The oceanside deck has 4 comfy camp chairs overlooking Canada across the bay. A hammock swings between two big Maine birch trees. It is off-grid. No electricity. No heating. No running water. No TV. No wifi. It is a comfortable, peaceful getaway, as it has an outhouse, a 5 gallon solar shower, a huge marine 120 quart cooler that will keep food cold for up to 6 days, a 5 gallon drinking water cooler, a big propane cooking grill, a small propane campstove for morning coffee and eggs, and battery LED lanterns for evenings. It is stocked with everything you need - plates, bowls, glasses, mugs, silverware, coffee French press, sheets, pillows, blankets, Scrabble, playing cards, a big Bluetooth speaker (crank it up- there's no one around to complain!) Dogs and cats are welcome!
You are in the Maine woods! No human neighbors whatsoever for over a half mile in any direction. Complete isolation. You will see lots of birds, and possibly seals.
  • Beautiful spot! We spent a lot of time looking for sea glass on the beach, it was refreshing to be alone and disconnected from technology, highly recommend!

    Trish2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great cabin! Exactly what we were hoping, a real getaway. Wish I could have stayed longer.

    Alice2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is an amazing spot for a relaxing off grid getaway. Sam provides clear information for what to expect and has thoughtful touches throughout. The beach and the view are spectacular.

    Nancy2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • This offers a unique experience of off-grid living. The cabin is very basic but very comfortable with everything you need to enjoy your stay. We had signal all the time and offers you a way to charge your phone in your car. The view is amazing, and the nights are even better, very quiet, secluded and with lots of stars. The only downside for some people might be the outhouse, and no heat inside the cabin aside from plenty of heavy blankets (although we didn't have any issues in our short stay). It was a great experience overall, if you want to stay in a unique place to enjoy nature and completely disconnect and enjoy a quiet moment in nature, then this is the place, you will not regret it.

    Paolo2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Simply the best location for a Maine getaway. Private beach, and no one around for a 1/4mile in any direction. Beautiful cabin in scenic Maine.

    Robert2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had such an excellent time at Camelot. The views cannot be beat - and we woke up early both mornings to walk the beach at low tide and watch the sunrise. We loved loitering at Pulpit Rock, a short distance south along the beach. Sam has thought of everything in the cabin - from the griddle to the binoculars to a can of cooking spray, which we forgot. We hung out by the campfire (bought wood from the neighbor, which was super convenient) and took in the scenery - the ocean, the seals. Like other guests, we found loads of sand dollars and beach glass. We kicked on the heater for a little bit before bed - but were totally cozy during our stay. During the day we hiked at Cutler Coast and also Campobello Island, and Camelot was the perfect base camp. Thank you again, we will definitely be back!

    Shannon2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! Inside and out!! Definitely worth it to go, you won’t be disappointed! We loved everything about it! We will be going back for sure!!

Cute little cottage right on the lake and only 15 minutes to beautiful St. Andrews-by-the-Sea! This quirky little place was hand built by my Grampy 70 years ago and has lots of charm. Sip your coffee on the front deck while listening to the loons or enjoy the peace of the breeze through the wild flowers (we feed the bees!). No pets please :)

  • The cottage is very cozy and well decorated. The view is absolutely breathtaking. It was perfect for a quiet and peaceful weekend getaway.

  • Nicole was very communicative and quick to reply both before and during the stay. She helped us out when we was looking for a specific kitchen utensil (out of the ordinary) and provided us with it. The cabin is well worth the money and the pictures didn't quite catch the feeling. It looks much more new and cozy in real life. Tucked away just at the lakefront. We had a great time.

    Jesper2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • I enjoyed everything! This cottage is in a quiet peaceful setting . Out of the way but close enough I was still able to tour around the area easily. The cottage was clean , bright and comfortable. I had the best sleep and could cook all my meals there with ease. The lake is beautiful and quiet ,the perfect place to paddleboard. You will not be disappointed staying here .

  • Wonderful place! Great location, perfect size for our family of 3. Couldn’t ask for more!

  • A perfectly lovely spot to stay, relax and enjoy nature! Krista and Jordy were quick to communicate; they have a sparkling clean cabin; all that you might need is available; and a beautiful beach to walk along and gather sea glass! Like a dream. Highly recommend.

    Brooke2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed the cabin, which felt much like a house boat during high tides to offer a true Maritime experience. The off-grid power system was very impressive and managed to run all of the amenities without any problems, and the wood stove was absolutely delightful during our fall stay. We have already recommended this place to many of our friends and family. Thank you, Krista & Jordy for sharing this special place.

    Mike2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing view at what seems like the end of world. Million dollar view makes you just want to curl up in front of the fireplace or on the deck and watch the tides roll in and out.

    Gary2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • By far our best Airbnb experience to date. This was our first time visiting New Brunswick and The Artists Cabin is exactly how we’d imagined East Coast Living — private, relaxing, comfortable, breath taking, easy and the most beautiful sounds and sights we could imagine. Thank you for allowing us the much needed 2 days of relaxation after 2 years of planning a wedding. We could not have picked a better place to start our honeymoon and we are forever grateful.

    Josh2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Follow Krista’s very specific directions, and you will discover a tiny cabin on the brink of the Bay! Inside is a quiet and warm space with just enough, but not too much, to enjoy your stay! The many panés of glass easily frame the beauty of the water and the coastline. We drank wine, read, walked the shore and slept in our short stay. An easy distance from the vibrant town of St. Andrews also. We found the cabin completely clean , the bed very comfortable, and the information provided thorough.the only thing we noticed was the front door was weathered and quite hard to close, and there are a few rotten slats on the doorstep. Otherwise, just lovely! Thanks, and we will be back next year!

    Caroline2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We met on our long trip to Canada many beautiful place and nice hosts. However, Krista and Jordy and their Artist's Cabin are unequaled. A really nice holiday home with a magnificent view of the bay. And the two hosts are so welcoming and helpful, it could not be better.

    André2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • A simply beautiful spot beyond compare. It’s as close to the bay as you’ll get before you’re swimming... so fun to watch all the birds (loons, herons, ducks and more) cruise by all morning, and walk the trails along the beach. The wood stove is awesome for a chilly night in, and we loved watching sunrise from inside in the morning. Krista and Jordy were amazing hosts as well. Don’t miss this spot! And be sure to get a reservation for dinner at The Rossmount Inn, which was delicious! Also recommend hiking around Ministers Island, which is very beautiful and fun to see.

  • This hidden gem was a perfect way to start our relaxing vacation in the maritimes. The view was perfect and the place was exactly what was described. It was perfectly clean, with everything we needed at our disposal. On top of which, Sherry and Gordie were perfect hosts. We strongly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful lakeside holiday. Thanks again!

    Matt2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Sherry and Gordie are super super super hosts. They go above and beyond to ensure their guests enjoy their little piece of heaven. We will definitely be booking this paradise again next year.

  • A cute lakefront cabin on a very private property. Everything we needed, plus some extras, was there. Very well maintained and exactly as described. We left very relaxed and rejuvenated and would recommend this property to others!

    Chris2019-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • There is no words i can express how this trip turned out. This place is amazing, little piece of heaven with great service. We are coming back for sure. Thank you Sherry

    Stephane2019-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage cannot be in a nicer setting nor any closer to the water! We could hear the waves on shore, had a nice covered front porch, fished off the dock, had a fire ring (hosts provided firewood & kindling), grilled seafood on the grill & went canoeing on the lake right from the property. The location at the end of a dirt drive was nice and private. The hosts were more than gracious and available for anything/questions/suggestions. We loved our stay & would recommend the place to anyone!

  • Above and Beyond. Those are the two best words to describe the hospitality and extra effort Helen and Marc put into running their establishment. Would and will be recommending a stay here to anyone.

  • This is a perfect place. Stylish. Impeccable, warm, comfortable, amazing location, and a wonderful host. This will exceed your expectations at every turn. It is easy because you can drive right up to where you stay. We are picky about certain things - and we loved everything about it.

    Vesta2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • We were so pleased to spend our 10 year Anniversary at Helen's Place. It was such a charming little town and the suite was even better then we could imagine. We were able to cook our own food and relax in a warm comfortable apartment. Helen answered all my questions and directed us to things to see and do around the area. If anyone is looking for a place to stay in St. Andrew's, this is my #1 pick for sure!

The annual Fogfest Music Festival will be July 31st thru August 4th this year. A great time with music venues scattered all around the Island.
  • Neva's place on Campobello is as spectacular as the island itself. I have visited Campobello many times and have always stayed in Lubec, Maine. But in the future, I will return to Neva's place. The wood floors, paneling and ceilings give the place a rustic but modern look. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable, as are the bathrooms. There is a great sitting room with a fantastic view of the water. The yard facing the water offers several great places to relax including near the edge of the water. I wish I had more time to spend there and next time I will. Neva has created a special place on Campobello that will not disappoint her guests in any way. She is a highly recommended host.

    James2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Just a wonderful place to visit . The area is a gem to visit , I can now see why the Roosevelt's enjoyed this Island . Neva pointed out all the wonderful things about the town . Would have liked to take the ferry to the Island but we did not have time, maybe next time. We did find beach glass enjoyed looking for it.

    John And Karen2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is an awesome location. We watched whales from the porch. Neva is very nice and knowledgeable about the area. A great view, good host, and a clean comfortable place to stay. Just doesn’t get any better than that.

    Pam2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • We were following the route of Hurricane Dorian and were forced to shorten our stay. Neva was a great help and making sure our arrangements worked out OK. She is a neat and wonderful host - I teased her about our ocean view not being perfect as we did not spy an eagle but the whale sighting, fireworks, in Eastport, and nearly full moon made up for the shortfall. The space is as pictured - we were able to enjoy our meal in the wonderful common area. The internet was out on the island which forced us to enjoy a disconnected evening. We hope to get back to Campobello soon - it is a magic place.

    Phil2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • An absolutely spectacular place right on the water. Very restful and well located for visiting Roosevelt International Park, restaurants and hiking. Stunning water views. Neva is a delightful host who also gives you privacy.

    Merianne2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful place to stay and close proximity to all the Island offered. The view was spectacular and we enjoyed the lovely sunsets and beauty of the bay. Neva was very gracious, friendly and offered many suggestions on local food, things to do and places to visit. We truly enjoyed our first visit to Roosevelt Campobello International Park!

    Donald2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Neva is a wonderful host who knows the area very well. Pictures are true to form. You will get what the pictures show and her place is very clean and comfortable. It is directly on the ocean and watching a sunset from her chairs with a glass of wine seems like a nice way to finish a day. Cheers ;)

    Ronald2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Neva's place is super special. The sunset from the living area was one of the highlights of my summer! What a magical place. I knew nothing about Campobello before arriving, but had great fun exploring and learning about the island. Neva is a gracious host and her place is set up perfectly to host people. I met a couple of nice couples while there too. I would love to come back again to stay!

  • The keeper’s cottage was a great overnight getaway. We enjoyed getting up early to see the sunrise over the West Quoddy Head Lighthouse, just a short drive away! We weren’t sure what types of restaurants we would find in the off season, but had an excellent dinner in Lubec and found a cute diner for breakfast in the morning. We will definitely recommend the cottage to family and friends!

Kim is a considerate host, quick to get back with any questions we had and super helpful.

  • Great location and great host. Cottage is very well equipped. Wade is a pleasure to speak with and the food at the takeout up the hill (run by Wade’s wife) is also excellent. Will definitely be back and will be staying for multiple nights next time.

    Brad2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Hathway Cove Cottages was great! Wade was an excellent host, we even got to experience his band in action. The location is beautiful and the kids loved the hot tub and the blow up castle!

    Jenny2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is rustic but in great location & beds comfortable so good night's sleep. You look out onto water through big windows. Lovely to watch sunset & birds. Wade very friendly & we had good dinner from his wife's takeout.

    Rosalind2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • What you need to know about Wade is: outstanding hospitality. He was amazing at attending to our requests, even after having to get everything ready for us after a pretty big group had stayed there the night before our arrival. It really IS amazing to look out of your front window and see the ocean right there...50' away. If you're looking for a family-friendly place to stay (the hot tub was great!) or a place simply to rest, relax, and recuperate, as you watch the sunrises and sunsets across the islands, Hathaway Cottages is most definitely the place to go.

  • This place is perfect for a couple. It is very short walking distance to downtown. The house was clean and the hosts are very responsive and friendly. The bedroom was on the second floor, the stairs are a little steep. I don't think that was mentioned in the listing. We did not have any issues with it but if you have physical limitations it may not be right place for you.

We like peace and tranquillity and we weren’t disappointed. Listening to waves hit the shoreline is a great way to fall asleep. The apartment is well designed and everything is neat and tidy. The hosts have an outstanding knowledge of the area and answered any questions we had. They were friendly and gracious. We will certainly return!

  • This airbnb is one of the nicest we have stayed at. Clean, modern, and nice touches. A beautiful waterfront deck and right on the main street with all the shops and restaurants. Very private as it is at the back of the building away from any traffic. Highly recommend this airbnb! Host was kind, and always answered questions right away. Simple check in and check out procedure.

  • What a lovely space in the heart of a charming town! We greatly enjoyed the spacious living space/kitchen area that looks out into the water, as well as the back deck. And it's right in a great section of the main street, so easy walking to restaurants and shopping. We'd certainly recommend!

    Sara2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • this apartment is so clean and comfortable! We loved the view and even though it was too cool to have morning coffee on the deck, we did enjoy an afternoon beverage with the sun shining down! The kitchen and bath are beautiful and fully stocked! We loved the decor which is calming and tasteful! We will be back if we are ever up in St Andrews again!

  • Exceptional location!! Quiet and relaxing in the waterfront annexe and right downtown St-Andrew's.

  • We had an excellent time visiting St. Andrews and staying at Janis's place. The cottage itself is well maintained, updated and clean. It was perfect for our short stay in St. Andrews. If you are in the area would highly recommend!

    Zane2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Our visit to St. Andrews was a surprise birthday present for my dearest friend. We've known each other ALL of our lives. This was her 70th Birthday! Could not have asked for a better location. The cottage is well appointed and very stylish. The views are just perfect. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and were greeted by two sweet kitties outside. The cottage is comfortable and very clean. The bed was perfect. The linens top of the line. We did not have any issues where we needed to contact Janis. All in all, a very nice visit and I plan on coming back for a return visit.

  • Great spot in the center of Eastport just across the street from the waterfront and steps above the coffee shop run by the hosts with delicious breakfast. Jenie was extremely accommodating. Being pet friendly allowed us to travel with our dog which was a big plus.

    Stephen2019-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment is above a restaurant and cannabis dispensary in the heart of Eastport, Maine. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. Being the middle of November when we visited, there was not much open, including a place to get breakfast, but the grocery store is a 2 minute drive or a 15 minute walk away and the kitchen was well equipped, including coffee. There was an amazing concert at the nearby Arts Centre that we just happened to stumble upon, and that made our stay even more enjoyable. We would love to return to Eastport in warmer weather, and fully experience the town, and would love to stay here again.

    James2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay right in town above the coffee shop. Peter and Jenie are very sweet and made a great space for visitors. And the bed is super cozy!!

    Teresa2019-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jenie's place was awesome. She is a fantastic host! Communications were prompt. Check-in was a breeze. We loved being right in the middle of the little village. Jenie's recommendation for dinner was great. We would be thrilled to stay at her place again and highly recommend Jenie as a host to any future guests.

  • Nice place downtown on the second floor overlooking the town. The hosts were great and met us initially. They offer breakfast in their coffee shop as well. Off-season so not much going on but very comfortable place to rest your feet.

  • Eastport is a beautiful and active small town. Dastardly Digs is a great place to stay right in town. The apartment is comfortable and really clean. You get a partial view of Cobscook Bay and the water is right across the street. For breakfast you can head downstairs and have great coffee and breakfast from the owners’ cafe.

  • Wow what a beautiful spot! This lovely oceanfront home has views from every window. There's a nice yard with easy access to the shoreline and even a tree swing that our daughter enjoyed.. Our family of 5 had the house to ourselves with plenty of room for all. The beds were very comfortable and the newly remodeled 2nd floor bathroom is very nice. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a meal. Our favorite part was having coffee on the deck in the morning sun overlooking the bay, just spectacular.

Our carriage house is located in the historic heart of town where we can walk to the the shops and restaurants in seconds. It is approximately 80ft from our heritage home and has a private backyard space. Two bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen as well as a BBQ in backyard space. Smoke-free space. (No smoking on property) No pets (Sorry - no exceptions)
In this beautiful seaside resort town we are ideally located where we are able to walk downtown or to the end of the wharf in minutes. Our carriage house was re-purposed as a 'family overflow' guest home in 2004. The renovation was done by my 'kind-of-handy-but-clearly-not a-real-carpenter-husband' with love and creativity. It is ideal for 1 or 2 guest but can sleep up to 3 with a single bed in the second bedroom. Both bedrooms have a window and dresser for storage and master bedroom has plenty of closet space. The bathroom is small but does have a full-size tub with shower. We are excited at the opportunity to share this unique place with visitors seeking cottage-style comfort.

  • One block off the main street , Sylvia’s place is close to everything but far enough away to be quiet. You will have a quiet, private back yard to sit and relax. The cottage is charming and homey, the bed in the main bedroom is very comfortable, and Sylvia is the nicest lady to talk to and very helpful and responsive. We really loved staying here and will stay here again if we go back to St. Andrews.

  • We came to St. Andrews for a quiet 2 day visit. Gerri’s place was a perfect stay for a couple. It is snug, but very well appointed. Nice bed, excellent bathroom appliances, and the location was perfect, a few blocks from the town center, but very quiet. Everything about the space was very clean and in mint condition. She also left us provisions for breakfast, and a few added touches, such as champagne and flowers. She was very pleasant to deal with, and I’m sure she’ll qualify as a Superhost. Highly recommended!

    Robert2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Spotless and well thought out place to drop the bags and go exploring. Front deck perfect for coffee. It had the best bathroom facilities of all rented spaces during my two week trip( it’s the little things eh?). Lots of towels provided, a vanity with surface space, and optional water wand or rainforest head in the shower. Kitchenette had just enough(toaster/microwave/coffee maker/fridge) because you will eat out most days anyway. It was a lovely spot to wrap up the last days of vacay!

Front porch between room & street. Windows on two sides. Only one AirBnb unit in house, with separate entrance off foyer. Short walk to new Van Horn paved trail to Ministers Island. Had nice stay!

  • This Airbnb is perfect! Beautiful room, centrally located in a picture perfect town on the bay. The attention to detail that Gerri has paid makes the room a pleasure to stay in... from coffe, tea, juice, and English muffins for breakfast, also a nice little bottle of champagne...beautiful taste and style . The front porch is a great spot to relax, read and people watch! Don’t miss this gem if you are planning on a trip to St.Andrews.

  • Gerri’s space is a clean, comfortable, cozy space that is ideally situated in downtown St. Andrews. It was quiet and afforded us a good night’s sleep in a comfortable bed. We were a stone’s throw from the wharf with beautiful sunsets and views of the water. The rain shower was great. The space was very clean. A welcome note and scones with fruit and other items was a thoughtful touch. We met the host’s daughter who was delightful! The communication was quick and informative.

This is a comfortable 180 year old house, eclectically furnished, 2 blocks from downtown, across from what used to be the last sardine cannery. This is not "Sandals" or the "Plaza", but it is spacious and homey and only $100-150 a night for 5 bdrms & 2baths, a big kitchen. The beach access is 50 feet from the front door. Beaches in Eastport are not like the Bahamas. We have good wi-fi, and a Roku TV, but if you're lucky, you can watch whales from the sun room.

The bedrooms are spacious, and the beds are comfortable with plenty blankets and pillows...Very important. The kitchen is huge and perfect for family cooking and conversation. It is also in a perfect location, not in the middle of town but walking distance and far enough away to allow for more privacy. I loved walking out at dawn to photograph the sunrise. In addition the home was spotless with many thoughtful articles small sculpture and lovely paintings scattered around the house. This home was more than we expected. • The views and salt air are great. A rock beach across the street where my family had a great time collecting sea glass. It's located in a fishing village and you can walk to the wharf in a few minutes. A great getaway on the ocean with top notch hosts.

  • A lovely retreat awaits you at Lucy’s place, complete with everything you need while on vacation. The location directly on the bay is excellent. The area is peaceful and tranquil and there a modern lighthouse a short walk away. The ferry to Grand Manan is also only a short ride away.

The Fisherman's Loft is bright and clean. The loft has a fully equipped kitchen with full size appliances. Enjoy the ocean breeze from the deck while you have your morning coffee or just relax while watch the fishing boats come and go in the channel. The homeowners welcome guests to share produce from their garden.
This spacious loft is the entire second floor of a restored barn. It is fully furnished with everything one needs for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a washer and dryer for guest use on the first level. The bathroom is full size. There is a full size bed as well as a twin day bed to accommodate additional guests. It is tastefully decorated and painted with fun, artist chosen colors. All linens are provided. Storage space for bikes, golf clubs or kayaks is available in the clean, well-organized space below the loft. This is an all around great space, great location, and a great value.
The Fisherman's Loft is a short walk to Lubec village waterfront, concerts, restaurants, library, brew pub, museum and public beach. It is easy to access many local trails and West Quoddy Head Lighthouse. Campobello Island, where you will find Roosevelt Park and the golf course, is just across the bridge!
  • Sweet place for a stay in the town of Lubec. It is a loft and, although small, has everything a single or couple needs. Distant view of water, morning sun, fully stocked kitchen, and convenient to hikes as well as walking to town to dine. Very well appointed with nice linens. A creatively restored quiet ambience in a very quiet coastal Maine town.

  • What an amazing trip I had!! The loft is charmingly perfect, clean and spacious. I was traveling on my own with two small pups and stayed a week. Pat & Gary, the homeowners, were wonderful. They were in the house next door and when I checked in there was a sweet bouquet of flowers, chocolates and a handwritten note welcoming me. They had a book of local things to do, restaurants, places to see, which was incredibly helpful. The town is picturesque and I never ran out of things to do each day. Most daily sightseeing is at max an hour away driving, but Campobello is pretty much across the bay and I had no issues getting in and out of Canada. Every town was dog friendly, I brought the pups with me everywhere and walked in and out of stores with most shop owners giving them treats everywhere we went and bowls of water outside most shops. In the morning and at night I sat on the deck and watched the seals playing in the harbor. The whole trip was magical and I fell in love with Maine! I felt so comfortable, like a home away from home. I will absolutely be back again!!

  • AMAZING STAY!!! The private loft above the garage was immaculate and very cute. It had everything we needed. It felt very homey and welcoming. There is a lovely deck that overlooks the Lubec Channel. We spent a lot of time relaxing here listening to the sounds of the town and the tides flowing in and out. The hosts had a binder with info and things to do on the area (which was very helpful) and even left some fresh flowers and locally made chocolates for us. Speaking of the hosts, they were so friendly and helpful. This includes the neighborhood cat who visited us on the deck quite a bit. It is also in a perfect location as it is literally steps from the water and a beach and maybe a 2-minute walk to the lovely downtown. Long story short my wife and I had a lovely time staying here and would come back in a heartbeat.

  • We had a great stay here the view the view was amazing!!

  • Believe the reviews! The Clam Shack is just as good as everyone says it is. The layout is fantastic and the view is spectacular. My husband and I enjoyed kayaking right in front of the cottage and my daughter loved exploring on the ocean floor when the tide was out. We made s'mores over a bonfire on our last night and enjoyed the changing colours in the sky. Amazing! A note to families with young children: The cottage is fairly child-proof and there's a lot of room for playpens/ high chairs, etc., but there is only a shower, no bathtub.

  • Breathtaking, private and serene natural setting combined with chic, modern luxuries of 2019. The water/tide view and access is the crown jewel of The Clam Shack. From the large deck we watched the tides change, saw bald eagles fly overhead and groundhogs and deer walked by. At low tide we walked on the bay floor and collected driftwood. At night under a star-lit sky we built a campfire and listened to nothing but the loons. Strong wifi and satellite TV were available when we wanted it. New modern bathroom and kitchen were stocked with most amenities you'd ever need. There was even an outdoor shower for washing our muddy feet. Short drive to town to take in a tourist activity or buy supplies. Daniel's tips were helpful and while we didn't need to, we were provided with several contacts had there been a question or problem. Our stay was amazing and I would definitely stay again.

  • This is a wonderful spot. The cottage is simple but clean and more than comfortable, with everything you might need (including a pretty decent wifi connection and Netflix). The view is incredible and you feel totally secluded; it was really cool to watch the tide rise and fall, and walk along the ocean floor during low tide (we were traveling with a baby so never got the chance to take the kayaks out during high tide, sadly). The AirBnB is really close to St Andrews and good places to eat, like the Clam Digger and Rossmount Inn. I would definitely stay here again.

  • What an amazing place, everything about it is great: the views, the house, the area. Great tips from the hosts on top of it all. If you are looking for a little peace of heaven, book the Clam Shack

  • The Clamshack is a stylish, spotless, and well appointed home in a magical, private, location. Our family of 5 was delighted by the stunning view of the water and the ever changing tides, and enjoyed many hours relaxing on the deck. Early morning walks along the ocean floor when the tide was out, and kayaking around the cove during high tide were also favourite activities. The waterfront is not suitable for swimming but there is a lovely lake a few minutes drive away. The house is one of the best equipped rentals I’ve ever stayed in...no detail has been overlooked, particularly in the kitchen. We were able to cook beautiful meals of locally caught seafood and never found any equipment to be lacking. Beds are comfortable and we fought over the one with the water view (I won). The laundry and dishwasher are practical amenities that make a longer stay more comfortable. The house is a short drive to the resort town of Saint Andrews and all that it has to offer (whale watching, golf, seaside restaurants, interesting museums). Daniel is an excellent and helpful host, who offered valuable tips on getting the most from our stay. We fell in love with the area and would return to The Clamshack in a heartbeat. Thank you for a holiday to remember!
