I had an amazing stay with Stuart and Vinh. They were fantastic hosts. Their home is warm and cozy. Loved the nice, modern bathroom and comfortable (URL HIDDEN) were very welcoming and friendly and full of great information about the local area.The neighborhood they live in is filled with wonderful (non-touristy restaurants) and only 5 minutes or less to reach the light rail on foot. Very centrally located. You can walk everywhere or take rail or ferry transport. I would highly recommend staying here and I will too on my return visit to Sydney. P.S. Their little dog Kenji is so cute!!

Great experience. Stuart and Vinh were very welcoming and provided some great suggestions for us. Felt very at home :o) The accommodation was exactly what we expected and was very clean and comfortable.

It was a great pleasure to be the guests of Vinh and Stuart, who were always very kind and helpful. The location is near the harbour and the opera, you can get there by foot in 10-15 min. Our room was clean and comfortable! We thank Vinh and Stuart for this nice stay!

Our stay with Vinh and Stuart in Sydney was lovely. The house is not large but definitely big enough for the two of us and the room was quite roomy as well. The views from the backyard are lovely as well good for sitting outside and enjoying the view. The house is also very clean and they provided everything you need. Met Vinh when we arrived who was very welcoming and helpful. The house is a little bit out of the city but it was still central enough a nice walk into the city centre - though the hill on the way back some days was a bit tiring but good exercise after all the eating. I would definitely recommend staying here if you ever go to Sydney.

Vinh and Stuart made me feel very welcome in their home and provided lots of information on things to do in Sydney and the best way to get around using the transit system. Their home is in a great location only a short bus ride to Circular Quay which is close to many of the big attractions in Sydney (the Opera House, the Royal Botanical Gardens and the Rocks district). You could easily get buses or ferries from there to wherever else you wanted to explore as well :). I also loved meeting Kenji :) What a sweet little pup! Thanks again for your hospitality!

Lovely place to stay - I'm very happy I chose it. Vinh & Stu were very friendly and welcoming. The location was very convenient to my workplace, and to many charming restaurants, cafes and bars in Pyrmont. Thanks for the recommendations! The room and bed were clean and comfortable. The room was a little cold (in the coldest part of Sydney's winter) but the bed was warm.

What an absolute delight to meet Stuart and Vinh. On arrival we received a very welcome pot of tea and sat chatting for about an hour before retiring. Vinh was very helpful listening and advising us on our near future venture to build a b&b in Tasmania. We are looking forward to keeping in touch and learning more through Vinh's business courses.

This apartment is immaculate and located in a perfect location for all foodies, we recommend reuben hills, mah jong and bad hombres. Surry hills is a close walk to the city and central station is only minutes away. The communication between Noa and myself could not be faulted and she was extremely helpful. I would not hesitate in recommending this to friends and family and we will be back.

Such a homely and warm place! We very enjoyed our stay at Thais's place! The room is spacious, clean and tidy and the bed was comfy. We stayed for 5 nights and had no issues with noise. In a quiet area but really close to the downtown area, and easy to access the surrounding attractions in 30 minutes. Highly recommended! :)

To the apartment I found it more beautiful than in the publication, good taste, good finishes, cleanliness, order, etc ..... The area I turned out excellent for Sydney, could walk to various tourist spots and trains leading to the airport and communicate with the city, and the neighborhood has a number of bars and great restaurants ... all very cool, the host, the apartment , street and local area ... good choice, I recommend it!

Excellent host who is very considerate and engaging; unusually quiet apartment being in the CBD; morning sunshine soaking the apartment, but not in the bedrooms (good for sleeping in); 2-3 blocks from Museum Railway Station, ie 4 stops to/from the Domestic Airport; bedroom is booked well in advance, which is why it was my first stay. Excellent value for the price!

Reid really goes above and beyond as a host, and provided me with the best possible welcome to Sydney/Australia. I had a great 3 weeks at Bron's place. You're sort of part of the family for the time you're there. You got your own room in a beautiful typical Sydney terrace house. At a great location in Sydney, in Surry Hills. You enter the house/living via the front door, just like Bron and her family, but you can find your privacy whenever you want in your own room with your own balcony and bathroom. Typically Bron would be cooking when I got home; she always invited me for a glass white wine at the dining table, that I really appreciated and couldn't refuse due to the nice wines she poured. Who's up for some contact with locals at a very nice place in Sydney, I'd definitely recommend this place.

Bron is a wonderful host who makes you feel right at home at her place in Surry Hills (even though we came from halfway around the world)! Her space is clean and modern, just like her photos depicted. The room is the perfect amount of space for 2 people and the bathroom has some really nice toiletries which you can use and plenty of towels. A cute balcony overlooks the quiet street and we always felt safe in this trendy neighborhood. Bron let us check in early on arrival day (as our flight arrived in the morning), which was very kind of her. She was super helpful with suggestions of places to go and even introduced us to some great eateries in the area. I couldn't recommend her place more! We had such a great time, I didn't want to leave! Thank you so much, Bron!!

Me and my fiance had a splendid time there , we feel like home and feel very welcome. Bron and her son Dom are very helpful , they treat us like family . Mel has a gift for hospitality and her home is clean, welcoming, and full of light. Redfern is an ideal location, close to the train stop, close to the harbour, plenty of bars and restaurants, and quiet despite the activity. I would look forward to staying there again on my next visit to Sydney.

Susannah's place is awesome in every sense of the word. Located a stone's throw away from beautiful waterfront, its the perfect spot to sit back, relax and enjoy those evening coffees. I stayed for more than a month and it was very convenient. CBD is just 20 mins away by a bus. In case you are up for some fun, Ferry option is right across the corner too. Room has all the amenities for a single person and offers a nice respite from the buzz and chatter of the city. Susannah is very helpful and inspite of being away from Sydney - she ensured that I had a comfortable stay at her place. I would recommend this place to anyone :)

Susannah was a great host and her studio apartment in Balmain is a great place to stay in Sydney. It is clean, very comfortable and in a great location. 5 min walk to the ferry terminal and buses to the city. Even in the winter it is warm and cosy. There are some very good local Pubs and restaurants, which is good if you are staying a while. Susannah will do whatever she can to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I can highly recommend this as a place to stay.

This lovely Studio apartment offered a delightful home base for me while visiting family in East Balmain. Within easy distance of the ferry to Darling harbour and Circular Quay in Sydney, it is an ideal location for anyone wanting calm respite from busy city life. Spotlessly clean, Susannah has equipped the apartment with everything necessary for a comfortable stay. The L shaped studio has a small, very adequate kitchen area at one end and a separate bathroom with large walk in shower. The apartment is on the ground floor of her home, with a separate entrance enclosed by a small leafy verandah. It is situated in a quiet neighbourhood with little vehicle activity due to the steep, narrow laneway on which the apartment is sited. The daily climb was initially challenging as I came and went each day but actually I grew more fit as the two weeks went past! (East Balmain itself is particularly hilly.) Susannah was a great host, easy to contact, friendly and welcoming. Throughout my stay, she was always concerned for my comfort and enjoyment of the area, which in itself offers good restaurants, pubs and interesting shopping opportunities including two fantastic bookshops. If I had a recommendation to make others' stay more pleasurable, I might suggest adding a comfortable chair to relax or read at the end of the day. I would have no hesitation in recommending Susannah's lovely apartment.

Great space and amazing location. The loft is a really nice space with comfy bed and linen. Excellent location with an easy walk to Darling Harbour, the CBD and lots of places around the Bay. Also close to some good cafes and restaurants. James is a lovely host and very communicative.

Beautiful room which was cosy, warm and clean. The place is centrally located and has all facilities. The arrangements were very good and James was very organised with providing specifics for check-in. Cons were you need to go up some steep stairs and also share the toilet with 3 other occupants. There was some construction work going on right across the street (they start early), which may be stressful for a light sleeper. However, I had a very comfortable stay, and in all, a very pleasant experience.

Matt is a super inviting guy and great to chat with . The space is comfortable and clean . Great little home . Close to public transport and the grocery store is a very short walk away . Julien & Ana were great hosts.. they were hardly there but everything was clearly communicated the night we showed up so we didn't have to ask anymore questions. When we did see them they were happy and very friendly. The place is located minutes away from Darling Harbour and great little place for singles or couples. Everything was clean, tidy and organized. We really enjoyed our stay in Sydney and would highly recommend this place :)

This place is clean, easily accessible with good security. Easy walking distance to Darling habour and then onto Town Hall station and trains to everywhere from there. The wi-fi was good and their are local places for breakfast and food in the evening. When you get to Sydney get an Opal card - put 20 US$ on it or your local currency equivalent and it you can get around on public transport like a pro - trains, buses, ferries and they are all very cheap especially the trains.

Great location, close to the center but silent. The hosts are available, quiet, kind. The room and the bathroom are big and confortable.

Brilliant! :-) Our long-overdue return visit to Sydney was made all the more perfect thanks to our experience at Lindsay and Minny's B&B. Clean, quiet - very private - and just minutes to restaurants, bars, and the Balmain ferry, we couldn't have been happier. The parking pass was a plus, the washing machine an unexpected bonus, and the pear cider and fruit platter we devoured on arrival could not have been more welcome. We were met on arrival despite our being 12 hours late due to flight delays. The room has all you need for a very comfortable stay. The main shopping area was a 5 minute walk with a wide choice of cafes restaurants and bars. There is a Woolies and BWS for self catering needs. The bus and ferry to city centre were very conveniently close by. The rooms are in a quiet setting amidst a nice area of housing. Lindsay was a perfect host and the lounge area had many guidebooks and leaflets with information for newcomers to the city of Sunday.

Lindsay & Miny's accommodation is fully self contained and completly separated from their own living areas. The outdoor sitting area was lovely - unfortunately Tony & I were not staying long enough to fully enjoy it. They provided us with a street parking ticket which helped with the difficult city parking. Though no breakfast supplied, there were some complimentary drinks and fruit provided. Location is perfect for getting into the city.

A very quiet place, it can directly from the side door into the room, their privacy can be well protected small platform outside the room - super nice! And walk out ten minutes is the town there are some restaurants and supermarkets

The location is wonderful. Two minute walk to the bus, five minutes to the light rail. Glebe Point Road is two minutes away with anything you could want. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe. The room is well-furnished and comfortable. Thomas is wonderful to work with. Highest recommendation!

We stayed for 3 nights at Robert's place, and didn't have any problem. Located in Balmain, it's close to supermakets and restaurants. Very close from the bus, so easy to go into the city. Robert is very friendly, helpful and good communication.

Robert's place is lovely. I highly recommend it to single travellers looking for a place with great value and easy access to public transport. Buses to the CBD are only 2 mins walk away. The room was spotless and very pretty. The neighbourhood is quiet and clean. Robert was most thoughtful and made sure I had the iron, ironing board, clothes hanger, lint brush and a fresh towel. He is very accommodating, easy going, warm and will ensure your stay is pleasant. Bonus: you will meet his cats who are the sweetest creatures ever. They're gentle and lovely and it made my trip much better.

Great place to stay, right in the heart of the city. I could walk to pretty much all my meetings. A lot of room, everything was clean and well presented. One thing, the noise did get a little loud from the traffic, but I would still highly recommend.

Had a lovely stay at Andre's apartment. Andre was very accommodating, because it was raining I called to ask if I could check in earlier and Andre was happy for me to leave my luggage in the apartment earlier and go for a walk whilst he was cleaning up. Apartment is very conveniently located in the middle of everything, but as mentioned that does mean it gets very loud. So ear plugs are a must (not for light sleepers!). Studio is very functional at budget end of market. Had everything required, including soaps, etc. Lost a towel and paid $6 to replace it. TV is new but has very bad sound so hard to hear anything on it. Internet is fast and Andres communication was excellent. Thank you Andre :D

Andre was very responsive and easy to deal with. The location was quite ideal, super close to the St. James train station, and a short work to main sites. Room was simple, clean bedding and had some nice little touches (space heater, matching towels, maps for Sydney). Only 2 issues for us was the smell in the hallway (the trash sits right outside the flat in the landing before the stairwell, or it was left in the stairwell at the foot of the stairs, so smelled pretty bad). And the traffic noise is constant, but you get used to that. Would recommend for the value, location and Andre as an accomodating host.

Fantastic room, had all the essentials for a great stay. Andre was great to deal with and helped us carry our bags up on arrival. Things like small amounts of tea, coffee, shampoo, conditioner, and fresh towels made our short stay all the easier. Don't let the appearance of the entrance and a few flights of stairs put you off, the room itself is perfect for a short stay and had fantastic high ceilings. You do get all the noise that would be expected from being in the centre of town but well worth it for having the most convenient location to explore the city. Great spot, highly recommended.

Place was exactly as described. Great location. Only a 10 minute walk to the harbor and circular quay. Only a few blocks from train/bus stations. Some of the reviews said it was noisy but I didn't find it all that noisy. Water takes a minute to warm up but it was always hot after that.

Very friendly and welcoming hosts and a cozy room with great bathroom. One big plus for me was the proximity to Sydney Fish Market, so you can fill your boots with great seafood whilst you're there!

Roezetta was an amazing host. After 2 nights I told her the sofa bed was a bit uncomfortable. Within 3 hours she got it changed for a very comfy flash sofa bed. Top marks for 'keeping the customer happy'!

I am sure the home was great, but we didn't stay due to an unexpected death at home. We arrived Sydney to the news and flew straight back. Our daughter used the unit. But prior to that we did try to cancel as we were very upset as to how this was handled. I found the place on another site NOT ABB and phoned the owner. R's ad on that site directed us to ABB (who does that??). As hosts ourselves, we did not want to go through ABB because of high commissions. R quoted $380. Good deal, but it was last minute. We accepted. I said ABB would charge more, she said she would adjust the price at her end so that we didn't. We took that to be we'd still pay $380 as she would absorb the costs. We were charged $480, and she told us to take it up with ABB. 3 long and tiresome calls later the correction "should come through 24hrs later" it did, but we still paid over $50 more than quoted. I admit refusing to pay that was just spiteful of me. See what happens once something goes wrong, it just spirals. Our daughter was so distressed by events at home. She struggled to get in the place, (not host fault, just too complicated an entry procedure when you are upset). She lost the keycard R tried to charge $130 for it, then discounted to $110. I rang the Oaks, cost for new card is $55. I get it as an owner, that it's a pain in the proverbial to have to replace things like that, (hence we have all keypad entry). R complained of the days lost to replace the card. WHO DOESN'T HAVE SPARE ENTRY CARDS FOR A HOLIDAY LETTING? Give the next guest the spare one, order an extra one, charge me and suck it up. It happens, but don't flog your guest who has already paid nearly 20% more than you agreed and is already an unhappy camper. R kept referring us with every problem back to ABB. The apartment was easily accessible and in a great location, well furnished, and good value for money.

The apartment wasn't exactly as expected. There are old photos of the space along with new ones in the listing, but you don't see the captions saying that they're old photos unless you enlarge them in the app. We had anticipated 2 couches and there was only one. I guess we should have studied it more, but the old photos should have been deleted when the new ones were posted. She said the old photos were still on the listing due to there being rain in Sydney. (?) The carpet smelled like mildew due to a leaky air conditioning unit. No paper towels or cleaning supplies were provided. No one met us at the apartment besides the plumber and the cleaner. (Who were there past check in time. Not a big deal, but an apology would have been nice. Would like to relax after a 22 hour flight.) No welcome booklet or anything like that, which I've come to expect and appreciate from airbnb hosts. The host came by the second day to drop off a price booklet in case we wanted to "purchase" anything there. Everything from a piece of silverware, to the refrigerator, to the rugs were listed. We just thought that was odd and it made us a little uncomfortable, like we weren't trusted, especially since the list wasn't even up to date. I wouldn't stay here again, but I will say that the positives with the space are the location (very close to the train, close to stores, restaurants, and coffee shops) and the host responds quickly to emails.
