Lizzie was a great host. Polite and considerate. The room was homely and comfortable. It was very handy to walk into town. Bideford was a pleasant surprise being very scenic, lots of choice to eat and drink and full of friendly and interesting people. Well worth a visit. Thank you for a great visit.

Beautiful, spacious and peaceful room with stunning views. Mukti and Bethan were wonderful and friendly hosts who made me feel welcome and at home without being intrusive. Also perfect for those wanting to cycle or trail running (as i did) as right on the Tarka trail and coastal paths for trail running. A wonderful house, friendly, interesting hosts and perfect location. Highly recommended!

Nice neighbourhood, nice location overlooking town with lovely views and perfect to catch evening sun. Mukti and Bethan very nice and helpful. Bedroom is best room in the house. Slight shame 2 floors down, but would happily stay again of in N Devon

Beautiful big room & very comfortable bed in interesting & historic house. Great views from verandah of the river and part of the town. Lots of stairs to get to the house so exhausting if carrying baggage. During our stay of one night we didn't meet the owners but met a series of young people who were passing through. Breakfast was random: no milk, no cereal to be found, no one to point us in the right direction. We were unable to operate the hot water service because we couldn't find the master switch so lukewarm bath was had. But we are grateful that they could accommodate us @ short notice.

Hosts were very concerned that we find the somewhat hidden property. Room correspond to the images and are very clean and spacious! Bathroom and toilet, and kitchen shared with the hosts. Very nice view invites you to relax.

The house and the surroundings were exactly like described and the host took care of everything in order to make my stay comfortable and to easy my movements around the town. Even if the room was booked without breakfast, like almost all Airbnb offers, I was offered the option of tea / coffee and to fully share the kitchen. Beside the sunning view of the river, loved the original house vintage furniture and the comfortable bed.

Very comfortable and with all the amenities one would need for a very pleasant stay, for holiday or business. Would definitely stay again. Parking was very easy on the main road by the river, from 5:30pm and free from 4:00pm to 9:00am. Excellent fish and chip restaurant and takeaway a short walk away towards town. Never met Denise nor needed any assistance from her but communication with her was very easy, by email and text. No EE mobile signal available in the house, but available outside near the main road, and wifi in the house was good.

This is a delightful cottage overlooking the estuary. We were fortunate to have great weather and woke up to a view that was good for the soul. The cottage is beautifully decorated and there's a delightful patio garden with seating area to the front. I'd recommend you visit for yourself.

This is a fabulous cottage to stay in. Denise has made her place so lovely, and everywhere you look are great little touches that make this place so welcoming. It was lovely to arrive after a long trip and have fresh scones, cream and jam waiting for us! The cottage was spotless and had everything you could need for our stay. The views from the cottage were great and the neighbours very friendly, I can thoroughly recommend Denise's place and will definitely return!

We had a lovely stay in this delightful cottage. We were visiting family in the area and it was perfect for relaxing in the evening. The beds were also very comfortable. It was just right for our two night stay. There was milk in the fridge and a jug of flowers in the lounge which added a lovely touch. My daughter loved the whole "Cath Kidson" look. I would point out that there are a number of steep steps up to the house and there isn't any parking outside the property. We parked on the main road at the bottom of the steps and paid £2 for 2hrs parking which was plenty for us as were not there much during the day. It was free from 4pm-8am. My dad isn't very steady on his feet so I dropped him at the back and he walked down the steep road to the property rather than tackle the steps. Thank you Denise for being available at all times if we had any questions and advising us of the access information before we left. We would definitely revisit if we come back to the area.

Cosy cottage overlooking the river. Everything was as we expected and more. Really well equipped. We didn't get to meet Denise but communication was great and felt very welcome all the same and enjoyed our stay. Thoroughly recommended:-)

We were in the area for a wedding. Denise's was great for two couples to sleep, have breakfast & relax. Lovely decor, comfortable & clean and the Easter themed things were very cute!

I stayed for 2 nights as a base for some walking in the area. The house was easy to find on foot, about a 15 minute walk from central Bideford. Warm welcome provided by friendly hosts. Room was very comfortable with access to a spotless bathroom. Tea/coffee/fruit and a couple of nice pastries for breakfast were also provided. Very accommodating, thanks.

A true gem of a find. Nice quiet area, lovely home and great hosts. Bedroom was super nice, comfy bed and sole use of the upstairs bathroom. Lots of attention to detail and little extras in the room that I wasn't expecting . They even offered to iron my shirts!. Reccommended, I will look to stay there again on my next visit .

We had a great time at Balazs' home. Our hosts are very nice and helpful. The house is newly built, clean and very comfortable. The bed is cosy. We had a bathroom for us alone and could use the well equipped kitchen as well. We wish them both all the best and good luck here on Airbnb.

The response time of the host was very fast. It did not even take five minutes and we had a confirmation for our stay which was very convenient. My Mum and I were warmly welcomed into Sue’s home. The room is decorated in a lovely manner, the beds are comfy and the room has a beautiful balcony. The parking facility was excellent and safe. We straight away felt like home . Sue went beyond and above by helping us bring in the luggage, making enquiries from a restaurant to get a booking for dinner, giving us breakfast which was not part of the itinerary and she and Colin gave us lots of valuable tips for the remainder of our journey through Cornwall. I would definitely stay with her again if I come back to the area.

Sue has contacted immediately after my booking and also has answered the same. She gave me a warm welcome, is open and very kind. Although not included in the offer, she cooked me porridge for breakfast. I felt very welcome and safe. And the room with bath and balcony is more than one could ask for. I'll be back!!

This room was stunning and very welcoming , decorated with lovely little sea side trinkets , the bath room was amazing with a big old fashioned tub . The balcony was nice and you could see the rolling Devon hills in the back ground. The vibe of the house was very welcoming and homely , even to the point that at which I thought I was back home for a split second , that is how comfy and welcoming sues house is. The curtain partition was a good touch as it felt more private for us and sue and her family could carry on with home life. Highly recommend staying here as it's very close to all the good spots only a 9 minute drive to westward ho !. And other Beautiful spots. Me and my girl friend Bonnie will defiantly be back again.

The room is really lovely with tea, coffee & biscuits provided and your own bathroom with claw-foot bath is beautiful - i definitely recommend it as a great place to stay .... and being able to wake up and enjoy a morning coffee on your private veranda makes for a perfect start to your day !

Our host was great in communicating, letting us know what we needed to, etc. We felt very much at home in her place. The house itself was spacious, clean and very well decorated. It's definitely not your standard taste in furnishings, but we loved it. The bathrooms were great, especially the main master bathroom which was huge, with a bathtub, separate shower and lots of space to lounge around if you felt like it. It was great to be able to walk down to town, and the estuary/sea is pretty close by. And when sitting in the kitchen and looking out on the courtyard, it had the feel of being in a Mediterranean village. We loved the house! To be completely honest, our first impressions of the neighbourhood were not great. The first sight we saw as we approached the house was a big boarded up old building. But during our time there, as we got to meet some of the neighbours and got to know the area a bit better, it helped allay our fears. It's definitely not a picturesque area, but it's safe, and besides, the house feels like a sanctuary hidden away from the rest of the world.

We could stay only 1 nights at The Cinqtuary, and I wish we stayed a few days more. Great host, big very clean and convenient house, very well decorated, only 5 minutes walk to the river and the pubs. Highly recommended for a stay with friends or family!

Terrible! Having used Airbnb many times before this is the first time that we've ever had to leave early. Firstly, the area didn't have anything to offer and was certainly not a pretty seaside town with quirky shops and art galleries. The house is set in a rum down student like area. To access the property, the alleyway was dark, dirty with some decidedly dubious neighbours. The house does not accommodate 9 people, apart from two double beds all of the other beds were impractical and very uncomfortable. The kitchen was poorly equipped and we had to go out and buy plastic wind glasses and cups for the children. The shower overflows and there wasn't any working smoke alarms or carbon monoxide monitors. After 10 minutes after our arrival we were greated by the next door neighbours who informed us we would need to be quiet by 8pm. With a house full of excited children about to start their holiday this wasn't ideal. The neighbouring houses were also very unkept, with the only view from the main bedroom being that of rundown gardens, an old bath and a dangerous climbing frame. As a group of friends with children this place was not at all suitable.

Louise responded quickly to every question - very generously she has a wonderful book and magazine collection available. We loved the quirky pieces in the house and sleeping in the speedboat was a treat.

Louise was very helpful with directions, great communication and very helpful when we had changes to our scedule I would highly recommend a stay in this lovely home.

A great position to walk around Bideford. Parking available in Council Car Park across the road at £1 per hour from 8am to 6pm. 6pm to 8am is free. Spiral staircase tight so we left our suitcases downstairs. Ildi welcomed us with some treats which we enjoyed. Sue & Roz from Australia

The location is great. The cottage is well equipped and sleeps 4. There is no internet but the Pub just down the road is good for internet.

Lovely stay in a beautiful home in the countryside! We thoroughly enjoyed Lucy's hospitality, being greeted with biscuits and tea making facilities at arrival; gorgeous breakfast served with a smile; caring about how our days were and giving helpful suggestions. The set up for us and our 2 doggies was brilliant! Sorry that Teddy just couldn't get used to the fact that you and your family were meant to be there. However, he thoroughly enjoyed playtime with Tilly. Would definitely recommend staying at Lucy's and will certainly return!

The place was perfect for us as we were at a wedding which was 2 mins walk away. Lucy made us a tasty breakfast and went out of her way to get me some veggie sausages, the eggs from her chickens were huge and the yolk was a deep orange

Lucy and her family have welcomed me very warmly. The house is a 300 year old, beautifully renovated house. I felt very well. The room was large and very clean. Maker and a small welcome were waiting. The beds are comfortable. In addition to Lucy and her family also live two dogs, four cats, a horse, a pony and chickens on the property. The house is on a hill, from which one looks very good on Bideford. By car there are a few minutes' walk about 30 minutes into town. From the house away you can make many excursions in the area. Lucy was very helpful here. Also leaflets were on in the room. Extra wishes at breakfast are not a problem. I can Lucys Hallsannery Farmhouse recommend only warm and would come back anytime. It was wonderful, thank you Lucy !!!

I booked this room for my sister-in-law as the farmhouse was convenient for a wedding at Hallsannery House. She reported she had a really lovely couple of nights stay and Lucy was very hospitable. Thanks very much!

Lucy met us at the door and was very welcoming. We were her first ever B&B's as she has only just started to advertise, and she could not have done more for us. The farm house is in a lovely isolated spot with views of Bideford and the river only about a 10 minute drive away. This was perfect for us as we needed to catch the 09:00 sailing from the quay side to Lundy Island the next day. Everything was nice and clean, a proper farmhouse feel with two very friendly dogs who just wanted to be fussed over. In the evening the peace and quiet was wonderful. If we need a B&B in the area again Lucy and the farm would be it.

We just stayed for one night and also arrived quite late at night, yet Dave and Sadie were very flexible and welcoming and prepared a delicious breakfast in the morning. The interiour and the room are very nicely decorated. A very nice and positive experience! Thank you!

We had a great night at the Green House. After booking for the wrong week Sadie and Dave changed the booking with very little notice without any issues! Great breakfast and lovely area. Very interesting to chat with Sadie about Museums! Thanks very much.

David and Sadie were lovely people who welcomed us into their home with homemade biscuits and tea when we first arrived. Their apartment is a short walk into town and the bedroom was clean and comfortable!
