  • This is a spacious home, lovely feeling about the place. The two bathrooms was an added benefit with seven of us staying here. The parking could be a problem but there is a parking space at the back of the house which was useful especially as we had two cars.

  • Wonderfully stylish house on the hills of Torquay. Great value for money as can sleep 7 comfortably. Would recommend you find how to park behind the house as very hard to find parking in the evening. House is over 3 floors with large extended living area on ground floor. Beautiful bathrooms and comfortable beds Would definitely recommend.

  • We had a comfortable two nights stay at Ade’s house for my mum’s funeral. Ade replied quickly to my queries and left the hall light on for when we arrived.

Set in Marldon Village, these lovely former farm conversions nestles within a courtyard setting and is the perfect couples retreat or small family holiday
The house is in the charming village of Marldon, close to the seaside towns of Torquay, Paignton, and Brixham with their quirky shops, pubs, restaurants, and galleries. The sandy beaches of Torre Abbey Sands and Goodrington Sands are also nearby.
  • Jasmine cottage is situated in a quiet but central area of a lovely Devon village. We found the cottage in a converted barn warm and welcoming on arrival. Very well designed layout with an open plan living dining kitchen area and 2 ensuite bedrooms arranged on each side. The cottage was spotless, beds comfortable and linens and towels high quality. Lovely walks around the village and Church inn does an amazing Sunday roast. Really recommend its location.

  • The cottage was a great place for relaxing at February half term and exploring Paignton and Brixham. Just enough for us 2 adults and 11 year old and 2 bathrooms was a luxury. Shower was great and whole house was warm and comfortable. Kitchen well equipped and we had breakfast at home. 2 pubs within walking distance. Good choice of board games our son enjoyed. Internet connection was good. I’m sure in the summer with more crowd the narrow roads could be a problem. Also parking is tight so smaller car would be better. Would recommend Rockfish in Brixham for seafood. All in all it was a great experience

  • Woodend provided us with an excellent venue in a beautiful location for our large family get together (3 generations, consisting of 8 adults and 7 children). The generously proportioned rooms gave plenty of space to spread out indoors, and there was an excellent, large, well-equipped kitchen. Despite the weather and time of year (February) the hot tub and pool were enjoyed most mornings by all. We would have no hesitation in returning for another family celebration in this beautiful home.

  • This house is amazing!! Very clean, plenty of space and beautifully presented. Adrian was very approachable and quick to respond to me over the stay. The on site managers Keith and Lisa were great to have on hand as well. I would definitely recommend this place!

  • What a fantastic place for a get together of families, we had 5 families and the big rooms worked well for us. Pool and hot tub were warm so the kids had a great time splashing about! Great communication from Adrain, no problems.

  • Woodend is the perfect place for a big group gathering of family or friends. The house is very well laid out with large living/reception areas downstairs, a lovely large kitchen that is very well equipped for cooking for groups, and upstairs you have large bedrooms (almost all ensuite). The whole house is tastefully decorated with some lovely personal touches as well. And then outside is the pool and hot tub with spectacular views over the sea. Very close by, Meadfoot Beach is a lovely spot for a stroll, and then within a 5-10 minute drive there are many more beautiful spots and more places to visit than one would ever have time for! I'm already thinking about what excuse I can find to organise another gathering to book Woodend again.

    Philip2018-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay in this magnificent house. It was extremely well equipped and enabled a large family consisting of four generations to thoroughly enjoy themselves. I am sure we will return in the future.

  • This place is absolutely perfect for a group of 10+. The house itself is very impressive with exceptional views. The amenities are top class with a very impressive kitchen which makes cooking for a large group straightforward. Communication with Adrian was as good as it could be. We booked over a year in advance for a milestone birthday, and he would respond to every message within the hour. Check in was quick and simple. One review mentions problems with neighbors and excessive noise. There are some notices requesting sensible noise levels and not to play music around the pool. We followed these rules and had no problems at all and it did not inpeed on our enjoyment. Adrian went to great lengths to make our stay enjoyable and is an excellent host. Highly recommend staying her. We all thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and may we'll make this an annual trip. Thank you Adrian and your team.

The barn is nestled in a small hamlet with a handful of houses and makes the perfect base for a spot of isolation. You will be hard pushed to bump into anyone. Get away and soak up our wonderful view over Devon countryside and the fresh air! We take our guests’ health seriously, ensuring every surface is cleaned with disinfectant and we use high water temperatures for all our washing. We also provide cleaning products, soap and hand wash that you can use during your stay.
Our barn is stocked with essential food items as well as an ‘honesty’ mini bar. We also provide logs for the fire, plenty of magazines, books, games, WiFi and a TV. Most guests don’t even need to see or interact with us, the hosts, but only if they wish to, at a safe distance. Our closest village, Stoke Gabriel, is still open for business with a well-stocked village shop offering free food deliveries and The River Shack on the water front of the River Dart is open for al fresco dining and take-away wood-fired pizza. There are countless green lanes, fields, paths, hills, coastal walks and valleys to traipse over with little human contact. We can provide you with a list of all the spots where you can visit. Our place nestles in the small hamlet of Aish above the village of Stoke Gabriel near Totnes. Sit in front of the wood burning stove and peer out of the double height window to the fields and the river Dart beyond. Some mornings, you’ll see our resident male pheasant strutting his stuff on the garden wall. Occasionally, you may also spot a deer or two in the orchard or fields below. We are environmentally minded and do as much as we can to help lower our impact on the planet. Please see below, and our house manual, for a list of our eco credentials. We have used high quality fixtures and fittings throughout. The king sized bed is super comfy. The sofa bed is brand new and is a pull-out version rather than one of those uncomfortable fold out ones! The kitchen has been made bespoke by a local artisan and comes equipped with everything you might need including a full size oven, microwave and a small hob. As the space is small we can't include absolutely everything but please do ask us if you need anything at all! We also leave essentials such as tea, coffee, milk, olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper ready in the kitchen making it that much easier to relax the minute you arrive. The garden is adjacent to our own but has its own little terrace with a small table and chairs - as well as a BBQ. We have kept the place as uncluttered as possible to allow guests to escape the everyday. However, if there is anything you feel you need please just ask and I'm sure we can provide it! Please note that it is best to have your own transport if staying with us as Aish has no amenities. The closest shop, pubs and restaurants are in the village of Stoke Gabriel which is a 5 minute drive or a 30 minute walk away. We are environmentally minded and do as much as we can to help lower our impact on the planet. Here are a few of the things we do: The barn is run entirely on electricity and therefore uses no fossil fuels. We have a 4kw solar panel system on our roof that helps generate electricity for the barn. For any further electricity we use Bulb Energy, which buys all of its electricity from renewable sources. We use biodegradable bin liners and recycled loo/ kitchen rolls. We use refillable options for cleaning products and washing powders that do not come in plastic. We use entirely organic ingredients in our scones and leave you organic, local milk. The teabags we choose (Clipper) have no plastic in them unlike most teabags. You will find reusable shopping bags for you to use in the kitchen. We provide a water filter so you don't need to buy bottled water. We recycle as much as possible.
A short drive away, nearby Stoke Gabriel is a lively village with a well-stocked village shop, two pubs, a BYO bistro, and a cafe on the waterfront by the Mill Pond. Totnes and all its restaurants, cafes, and shops is also close by car.
  • Just perfect! Lovely touches on arrival (flowers and fresh scones!) Cracking view over the countryside so great for a weekend getaway for us city people. Couldn't recommend more highly! xxx

  • Such a lovely space, super stylish and super clean. In a quiet setting but close enough to the town and lots of things to do! The guide was amazing and so helpful, especially the restaurant recommendations. We would definitely go back again! Thank you!

  • Susanna was a great host and made sure we were ok in the middle of Storm Dennis! The barn was beautiful and we had a lovely time - would highly recommend this

    Charlie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The barn was perfect for us, cosy and stylishly appointed. The view out across the valley was just incredible, and we spent quite a lot of time just gazing at it and watching the buzzards circling over a distant field. Susanna was the most thoughtful host, and she went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, including baby equipment. It made our first holiday with our little one so special, and easy!

    Lucy2020-02-14T00:00:00Z

The Bolthole - Compact & cosy detached studio with garden. Located in the heart of Kingswear just 100 metres from the River Dart, the river can be seen from the garden terrace. No hills to climb, just 5 mins walk to the passenger & car ferries for the short trip over to Dartmouth & 2 mins walk to the village shop, a lovely cafe & the Steam Packet pub. Perfect for the coastal path. Street parking is free, 5 mins walk from the property & paid parking is in the marina opposite the property.
The Bolthole is a detached 1 bed studio property nestled in the valley in the heart of Kingswear just above the River Dart and Waterhead Creek. The 2 pubs, cafe and shop are all just a couple of minutes walk away. Newly developed using carefully selected reclaimed materials mixed with all the modern comforts to complement. Located on the slope above our main house there is a lovely little garden with its own deck where the River Dart, the hills in the distance and Waterhead Creek can be seen. You can retreat from the hustle and bustle of Dartmouth in the private garden and enjoy the evening sun. The idea and inspiration was to create a hidden space to escape to and the perfect base to explore South Devon & Cornwall. The property is a very cosy and compact studio. It's one room living with ensuite bathroom and has a coastal feel by way of white washed T&G timber and a hardwood waxed wooden floor reclaimed from marina boards having been weathered for 20 years. The King-size bed has a memory foam mattress and white Egyptian cotton bed linen, we also provide white bath and hand towels. We also provide tea, coffee, sugar, milk, salt, pepper, handwash, toilet roll and washing up liquid. There is an area to cook in a well equipped kitchenette and a vintage dining table & chairs. Natural light floods in and the garden has the afternoon and evening sun accessed via double doors that open to the oak steps up to the deck.
A lovely location and the river is 100m away and a short walk to the coastal path. A great local shop, lovely cafe, superb pub, passenger ferry, car ferries, castles, steam trains, steam river boats, walks, vineyards and much more. Not forgetting friendly people!

  • Great space for a night or two - Matt has carefully designed everything's to fit a very small space brilliantly! Expect small though - and if the weathers poor and you can't sit out, your outlook is very restricted. But the location is great, the bed really comfy and the local pub excellent!

  • We had a short but lovely stay at The Bolthole. Matt provided all the info we needed prior to our stay which made getting there, parking and getting around so much easier and stress free. The Bolthole is a warm, cosy, comfortable and stylish space with a lovely terrace, quality bed linen and towels and tea, coffee etc provided. The Steam Packet Inn is a great pub and we enjoyed their famous pizza with a view across to Dartmouth. The ferries across to Dartmouth are frequent and there’s lots of boat trips from the Marina - we took a short trip up river to Dittisham. We will definitely be back!

  • This is a superb stylish place that is just as stunning as it looks in the pictures. The view is amazing, the facilities including the kitchen, the beds and the bathrooms are top notch and I would definitely stay there again if I revisit Brixham. The only drawback of having that view is that whenever you go out there is always a steep and long climb back up. There are also quite a few steps down to the front door so not a place for anyone who is unsteady on their feet. All in all a brilliant holiday home though.

    Andy2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • You will not be disappointed, the space is amazing along with the view which I already miss. The underfloor heating made the place cozy and warm, loved it and would recommend to anyone.

  • Great place with really amazing views. Our family of 4 had a very enjoyable stay in early January, the apartment was super clean and very comfortable. Great location with a short walk to the town centre and harbour. We had some great walks and were lucky enough to see seals in the harbour and dolphins from Berry Head.

  • This is a beautiful house in an amazing location. We used is as a family but it would be equally lovely for a couple or two couples. The hospitality was great, so easy to deal with. Really easy to get into town and also out to Berry head. The curious kitchen cafe was lovely, as was exploring the little streets of Brixham. We enjoyed watching all the boats from the many windows and seeing the lovely sunrise and sunset. Thank you

  • This is a beautifully appointed home. Wonderful to wake up in and relax in the evenings in front of a log fire. Would definitely come again.

  • Front Row Cottage is a little seaside haven. The views across the harbour are stunning, and the cottage itself is a cosy, warm and comfortable retreat from day to day life. Super comfy beds, and beautiful interiors. You'll find yourself whimsically wondering whether you want to permanently move to the seaside. Brixham itself is small, but charming, and the location of the cottage is absolutely amazing - literally on the harbour, and less than 5 mins from all of the local amenities. A great little find.

    Natalie2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely house with amazing views over the harbour from every room, nice and clean when we arrived and was really simple to check in. Host was quick to reply and free parking was only a short walk away, which was a bonus. Great little break away, would definitely look at booking again.

  • Front Row Cottage is perfectly located for a trip to Brixham and the surrounding areas. It was delight to watch the boats coming in and out of the harbour from every room of the beautifully decorated cottage. The wood burner was an added bonus as was the car parking a short walk away. We didn’t hear any noise from the pub renovations next door. Steven and the team were very responsive and helpful with queries and suggestions.

  • A great spot, tucked away in a pretty cove with gorgeous views. We had a lovely week here and would definitely stay again. It was so peaceful and having the South West Coast Path right on our doorstep was brilliant - we did a lot of walking. Brixham is a nice fishing town with good bus connections to other places in the area like Torquay and Dartmouth. We liked that we could walk into town in about 15 minutes, along the coast, but were far enough out that it was quiet when we wanted time to ourselves. We parked our car when we arrived and didn't drive gain until we left because there are supermarkets in Brixham, plus good restaurants, pubs and cafes, and good public transport links. The allocated parking was a great feature, I love having guaranteed parking. The bedrooms are a little tight on space but for a holiday, it's totally fine.

  • A great little place, very modern, clean and comfortable. Situated in one of the best places imaginable. Views overlooking the sea, a small private walk down to the cove and a mere 15 minute walk from the town centre all helped make my recent trip to Brixham brilliant. Will definitely be visiting again in the Summer.

  • We stayed in this apartment for a week and it was great experience. You have lovely views overlooking the Marina and across the harbour. The apartment itself is fabulous! Very well equipped, very clean and with a cold bottle of wine waiting in the fridge. The bed is very comfy and all the linens are excellent quality. Everything you could possibly need is provided. The parking can sound a bit daunting when you read the blurb about the apartment but is actually incredibly easy and very convenient. We loved the location, we were able to just cross the road, a quick stroll into the marina and then a lovely walk around the harbour into town. Conveniently, there is a great pub along the walk as well which is well worth stopping in. Brixham itself is a really lovely place to stay with plenty of shops and places to eat but still has all the charm of a fishing village. Our hosts, Emma and John are lovely people and provided us with helpful tips for eating places as well as places to visit. We would absolutely recommend this apartment as a place to stay.

The large bedroom with a king size bed and a single bed are to be found on the ground floor, which also enjoys good sea views. The new owners have furnished and decorated this romantic cottage with a deft touch and it oozes charm and character from every corner. • Fantastic place with amazing views and great location . We will be back loved Brixham .

    Maxine2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Our accommodation was the envy of all our friends that stayed elsewhere around Brixham for a wedding over Easter. The view is incredible, the location is perfect (although up a lot of steps from town), the cleanliness, the decoration, the bed - what a place! The flowers, hot cross buns, biscuits and wine were a lovely welcome. We really appreciated it. Parking - some free on-street parking - difficult to find and may be a walk away - however, you will not need your car until you leave, as the cottage is very central and you can get boats/trains/buses to explore Dartmouth/Paignton/Torquay. Or pay £35 a week using council carpark. We would definitely recommend this cottage to any couple :)

    Tim2019-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazing find with great views: The location is perfect and all details as clearly stated with lots of nice personal additions such as fresh flowers and milk (for that cuppa on arrival). There were plenty of towels and linen provided.

  • The Mizzen is beautiful with fantastic panoramic views of the harbour. The high quality binoculars so we could watch the boats in the harbour was a brilliant addition. The local fish and chips are to die for.

  • My wife and I enjoyed a fantastic week staying at The Mizzen in late August. The property is delightful, and perfectly positioned to explore Brixham and the surrounding areas. We loved the provision of milk, coffee, biscuits, wine and fresh flowers after a long drive down to Devon - it made it feel like a home away from home. The property was clean, well-equipped and had a stunning view of Brixham harbour - we spent many hours watching the boats and sea-life during our week. Thanks for an amazing trip!

  • The Mizzen is a lovely place to stay. It has the most scenic and panoramic view from the living room window. It is very clean, well equipped, tastefully decorated and comfortable. You are even welcomed with wine and beautiful flowers. Brixham is a lovely fishing harbour where tourists are warmly welcomed by those who live and work in the area. Would highly recommend.

  • We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Nikki’s place in Brixham. The proximity to everything was perfect. Checking in was easy. We were given clear instructions with key codes. The Annexe is attached to the main property but feels separate as you walk up the stairs to it. The room is lovely, warm, with all amenities. There is a large en-suite bathroom and plenty of storage/furniture for clothing. We were walking the coast path and it was an ideal location. It was was nice to come back after a long day to a nice clean bathroom & shower and to take a stroll in to Brixham for something to eat from one of the many restaurants and bars. A lovely time.

  • Excellent place, in a great location, a few minutes walk from Wetherspoons and a about a 10 minute walk to the harbour. It was nice to arrive to a little carton of milk in the fridge so we could have a cuppa after a 5 hour drive. The apartment has everything you need, there was even shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom and a drawer full of DVD’s which went down well with storm Dennis hitting us hard. Would highly recommend.

    Lisa2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was lovely spotless and very cosy. I’d definitely recommend this apartment and the location is good to.

  • Mia's place is ideally placed to explore Brixham and the surrounding area. It is cosy but for the 4 of us for 1 night it was perfectly fine and it had everything we needed. Good fish and chip shop called Davids nearby to take advantage of too. Brixham itself is an interesting and bustling town.

Wren Cottage is a charming, cosy 2 bedroom cottage. Set down a private track with free parking it is far enough away to be quiet but also only a 7 minute walk (0.3miles) into town. Wren Cottage is suitable for sunny days exploring the area and with its superb log burner cosy nights in. There is a local pub only a few minutes walk which also serves food. Please note the parking space/gravel track will need to be reversed out off but there is normally parking on the hill behind the cottage.
  • A lovely cosy, comfortable cottage with everything you would need, a real home from home. Perfect quiet location ideal for exploring Brixham and surrounding areas. Veronica is a super host and very helpful.

    Claire2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Wren Cottage, Veronica and John have made it really cosy and everything is there that we could have possibly needed. We will definitely be back! Thank you xx

    Margharita2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fabulous stay here. Veronica was really quick to communicate and passed on lots of useful information to make sure our stay got off to a great start. On arrival the cottage was sparkling clean and really well done inside. It is fresh and tidy with excellent decoration throughout. Lots of little touches like the local artwork and the little stuffed animals in the single bedroom made it very homely. Lots of wood for the log burner too and comfortable beds! The location is excellent. On the edge of Brixham's main town it is tucked away down a lane so you would never know you were in the town centre. Open the door and it's only a 10 minute walk at most down to the harbour, with lots to explore including access to coast paths, the harbour itself, sea wall and much more. Lots of cafes, fish & chips, pubs etc. all within easy reach. Easy car parking too, again tucked away next to the house. We will definitely look this place up again if we're in the area and would certainly return for another weekend getaway!

    Chris2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent place all round we stayed during a very wet February but that hardly bothered us in this cosy warm cottage. The log burner was a god send the whole family loved snuggling up and playing board games. We loved how open plan the layout downstairs is keeping us all close together the perfect family holiday. The local area is lovely our dog LOVED berry head as did my two young boys, the harbour and breakwater were also a big hit. It is also a very good base to explore the greater torbay area with paignton soon 10 minutes away and torquay another 10. Veronica was an amazing host she was there to great us with a warm cup of tea and a few chocolate treats and was always on hand with some good tips about the area we couldn't of felt more welcomed. Highly recommend we will definitely be returning hopefully with better weather next time!

Life here has always centred around the harbour, where heritage trawlers jostle for space with day boats heading out to sea for the day’s catch, bringing it home daily to Brixham’s famous Fish Market. Key highlights for our guests are: - Breakwater, Marina, Beach and Shoalstone Lido - South West Coast Path - Boat and Ferry Trips to Paignton, Torquay and Dartmouth - Brixham’s Famous Fish Market - Berry Head Nature Reserve - Golden Hind Museum Ship - Dartmouth Steam Railway - Paignton Zoo - Living Coasts - Kents Cavern - Model Village - Dartmouth
  • Wonderful little retreat just above Fishcombe Cove. Has everything you need, with a very cosy bed and amazing views! Easily walkable to Brixham Harbour round the coast path. There was just two of us, but easily big enough for a family of 4. We recommend breakfast at Curious Kitchen and a little bite to eat at Flour Flower (the quiche is to die for) both so so lovely and yummy!

  • Thank you for a lovely stay, we found the apartment very cosy and the views are just stunning & very relaxing. It’s a Nice walk into town not too far and we liked the walk to berry head, the guardhouse cafe we would recommend. We would definitely recommend the apartment to anyone. Just one thing to note; the hamper pack was a lovely gesture, the only thing I would maybe suggest is coffee & sugar to be left in little pots too. Many thanks again for our stay.

    Private and quiet
Brixham is an old fishing town with narrow winding streets built between 2 hills, with the town centre at the bottom in the middle. This means that pretty much anywhere you go, will involve some steps, which is easy going down, but not so easy, coming back, especially after a few drinks, and a meal. Local taxis, charge a small fee, to drive you back, should you feel the need, or do what the locals do, and walk.
  • Beautiful apartment which is just a short walk away from the harbour (brilliant location). Really enjoyed our stay here, lovely thoughtful touches and an excellent host!

Nick was a charming host with a lovely sense of humour. He demonstrated how everything worked and then left us to ourselves. A break at Lighthouse View is all about embracing coastal life and spending quality time with family in a relaxing setting. The second you arrive you’ll be taken aback by the views out to sea towards Brixham marina and around the bay towards Torquay. The open plan living space is flooded with light from the large window to make a peaceful retreat to relax and unwind, and the original wooden flooring adds to the charm. Don’t forget your binoculars, as the comfy window seat provides the perfect vantage point to watch the local fishermen heading out on their next adventure. Budding cooks can rustle up a feast in the inviting kitchen or you can head out to your private garden and fire up the barbecue on a warm summer’s night. And on cooler evenings, you can curl up in front of the flickering wood burner with the clan for a movie night with some of the best fish and chips around. When it’s time to explore, a short ten minute stroll along the coast will bring you to Brixham’s pretty harbour. There’s so much to see from the boutique shops and art galleries to the Golden Hind replica, perfect for the little ones to discover their inner pirate. A visit to Brixham wouldn’t be complete without sampling the fresh seafood that’s brought back to shore each day or if you love to be on the water, you can catch a day trip along the coast to nearby Torquay. “A charming fisherman’s cottage, less than 50 meters from the harbour with beautiful views over the harbour and sea”
    The whole house.
Brixham is rapidly embracing fine cuisine and cafe culture, you will find many places to sit and enjoy the harbour views and relax into a slower pace of life. As Brixham is a fishing port many of the town's restaurants specialise in fresh fish and you can regularly find the 'catch of the day' being served. Also, the South West Coastal Path is close to the property, with many other fine local walking areas. Paignton is within easy reach and is one of the most popular destinations for families in the English Riviera. The area has a host of attractions; restaurants, cafes, cinema, beautiful golden sands and the popular Paignton Zoo that will keep the whole family entertained. The property is also perfectly positioned to take the steam train to Kingswear, ferry to Dartmouth or to visit Dartmoor and the many National Trust properties that Devon has to offer.

Our cottage is situated a short two minute walk to the picturesque harbour of Brixham, where you can watch the boats come and go, and enjoy a meal in one of the many excellent pubs or restaurants. There are great walks around Brixham, to walk off those delicious fish and chip suppers! We have two bedrooms, a sitting room and kitchen arranged over three floors. There is a private courtyard where you can sit and enjoy the sun alternatively a balcony with views out over the town.
The cottage has two bedrooms, arranged over the top two floors, one a double the other can either accommodate a double or two singles. Both bedrooms have a sink. The bathroom is downstairs and has a shower. The stairs are rather steep so not suitable for people with mobility problems or young children. The cottage is situated on a quiet pedestrianised stepped street so parking is either in the town or on the roads above the cottage. Please note there is no parking at the cottage. The kitchen is well equipped with all you need for a comfortable stay. We have a utility room out in the courtyard which has a washing machine and microwave. There is a comfortable living room with a gas fire and table and chairs. Wifi is available.
Brixham offers so much to do, walking, shopping, dining out. There is nearby Torquay, Dartmouth and Totness. A walk up to Berry head provides an excellent opportunity to spot seals, dolphins and many seabirds. Swimming in the sea or in Shoalstone pool or crabbing in the harbour can fill your day, as well as visits to nearby National Trust properties or Dartmoor

A secret gem! Newly renovated Grade II listed sailors loft on one of the oldest streets in Brixham with a unique outdoor space, stunning harbour views and a complimentary parking permit. This 2 bed / 2 bathroom property places you in the heart of the town with views of the inner harbour that stretch right round to the Breakwater and the colour washed cottages beyond. Enjoy the privacy and seclusion within the fully enclosed garden, or take the very short walk into town to further explore.
This 2 bed, 2 bathroom property is arranged over two levels. Having undergone a refurbishment both inside and outside in November 2019, High Hopes now offers all the modern comforts we know our guests love. The bay window of the open plan lounge and kitchen/diner draws you in with waterside views of the Golden Hind so close you can almost reach out and touch the boats. You will feel like you have your own box at the theatre as you look out and enjoy the sounds of Brixham Town Band playing under the Old Fish Market in summer evenings, smell the gunpowder as the pirates re-enact a skirmish on board the Golden Hind during Pirates weekend and stay warm whilst watching the beautiful fireworks at Lantern Lights and 'Luminations.   When the fresh sea air and morning sun beckons, watch the goings on in 'Fishtown' from the garden which enjoys a feeling of seclusion. Brixham’s harbour and town centre is within very short walking distance and you will find the heritage site of Berry Head National Nature Reserve via the South West Coast Path, and ferry boats that take passengers the short journey across the bay to Torquay throughout the year. So park up the car and explore. For cosy days in you will find an HD TV complete with Freeview, BBC iPlayer and Netflix to keep all generations happy. There’s even a collection of books, games and jigsaws for those evenings that are about unwinding.  After a day exploring the local delights and filling your lungs full of fresh sea air, the open plan lounge and kitchen/diner provides a great social space whether travelling as a family or with friends.  A stay at High Hopes includes a complimentary parking permit for over 30 car parks across Torbay. • A lovely flat. It was everything we had hoped for and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The flat was warm and welcoming and we were surprised and pleased at the scones left for us! We spent the days were were in the flat with our clothes laid out on the table in the bedroom, but other guests note that the wardrobe is down in the lounge so don't make the mistake we did of thinking there wasn't one! The views are outstanding and we feel the bedroom would massively benefit from not having the large dining table Infront of it as the views from the bed would be unbelieveable. The walk up from the town were steep, as warned, but not too bad and getting the heart pumping was a good thing for us! We enjoyed a few walks and jogs both ways along the SW coastal path and we would highly recommend the Breakwater Bistro for food, drinks and views. This was our 2nd visit to Brixham and it won't be our last. Many thanks Debbie

The Seadog is a traditional yet chic fisherman's cottage in Brixham with stunning town, harbour and sea views and complimentary use of a beach hut at the nearby Broadsands beach. Thanks to its setting high above Brixham’s bustling harbour, the first thing that will strike you when you step inside The Seadog is the view. As the tide ebbs and flows, look across to the cheerful cottages on the other side of the harbour by day and the twinkling lights of the town and harbour by night.
After a day exploring the local delights and filling your lungs full of fresh sea air, what better way to relax than in front of the living flame gas fire in the lounge followed by sinking into the memory foam mattresses with cotton rich bedding. Each of the three bedrooms has a contemporary décor and a spacious feel, in particular the master with its King size bed and not to forget - that view from the bay window.  When the fresh sea air beckons, step outside to the front terrace and enjoy the afternoon sun and watch the goings on in 'Fishtown'. Brixham’s harbour and town centre is within walking distance and you will find the heritage site of Berry Head National Nature Reserve via the South West Coast Path, and ferry boats that take passengers the short journey across the bay to Torquay throughout the year. So park up the car and explore. For cosy days in you will find a Smart HD TV complete with Freeview, BBC iPlayer and Netflix to keep all generations happy. There’s even a collection of books, games and puzzles for those evenings that are about unwinding.  A stay at The Seadog includes the complimentary use of a beach hut on Broadsands beach which is equipped with buckets and spades, chairs and sunloungers. Easily accessed off the main road between Brixham and Paignton, Broadsands beach has a large car park and promenade to enjoy a walk along. Separated by the rows of colourful beach huts, Broadsands has a large grass area for picnics and watching the passing steam trains on one side and the beach on the other side which at low tide makes a perfect playground for young and old. There is a café and toilet facilities along the promenade and the watersports centre offers sea kayaking, Stand Up Paddleboards and pedalos in the peak months.

Brixham is a charming and picturesque harbour town on South Devon’s beautiful English Riviera.

  • What amazing super hosts Liz & Ian are, the attention to detail , warm and friendly nature and knowledge of the area is fab. The appartment is an absolute amazing spot and is absolutely stunning. It was very special to sit in the window over looking the harbour and watch the world go by. There is nothing more you could want in the appartment, it was just home from home. Everything in there was very luxurious and well thought out. We will definitely be back. Thanks again Alison & Jason

Loved the seaside decor and the huge windows offering amazing views! There’s also fabulous pictures of Brixham taken by Ian dotted around. We only had a couple of days here but had an amazing time and will definitely be back, the apartment is beautiful, we didn’t use the car at all while we were there, there’s so much to see and do just walking around! So many lovely places to eat and drink and we were so lucky with the weather, feels like we’ve been away for ages ☺️ thanks again!
