This cabin on the river has an amazing deck, a huge kitchen and great room. Plenty of space to move around and enjoy the view. The road in is gravel, and rough in a few places, but drivable. Ben is an excellent host, available as needed. We needed more propane for the stove, and he sent someone out immediately on a Sunday evening to take care of it.

This cabin was everything it’s made out to be. The price was a steal and the view made the whole trip worth it. It’s tucked away in a quiet area where all you hear are the birds chirping and the water quietly rushing. No noisy neighbors or traffic. Very calming for a great getaway. Would stay again!

This is a great AirBnB, you need to have a reason to stay in Rector, I did. The apt is well equipped, great kitchen and bathroom. I would happily stay there again.

This place is the perfect stopover point! Don't let the view fool you when you first drive up. Yes, it's in that blue building, but like the Tardis, the inside will surprise you. Literally, the only thing you really need to bring is your clothes and food.. Everything to cook, wash clothes, wash you, and sleep comfortably is provided by the host. Simple check in, simple rules (Think Common Courtesy), and a town off the beaten path. Hemingway married and lived just a few miles north of here, so you never know what cool bits of trivia you'll find. If you're looking for a easy stopover or getaway, this spot will suit you..

I highly recommend this place. It is the perfect place to stay! The owners have put great thought and love into this little apartment. It was very clean and cozy! The decor and furnishings were perfect. My son and I had a great stay and we will be back!

The accommodations were excellent. Very nice and clean. Fortunately for us everything was brand new. It’s not like Rector is a vacation hotspot but we wanted our own place to stay while visiting family in and around the area. As far as the space, it was perfect. The listing says a railroad nearby and it certainly is but after the second night it didn’t seem to wake us. The bed was very comfortable and the living area cozy. Lots of movies and fast internet. Oh, and the tv is large and amazing for what we did watch. No local tv but nice to be away from that too. Joe checked in and was available if we needed anything. Overall very happy.

Wonderful stay with great hosts, an amazing hospitality. Doug and Cindy took their time to introduce them selves and explain a bit about the area it was a great conversation. Unfortunately I didn’t get to enjoy the outdoors as much as it was raining. Overall the bus is very unique, cozy, and a very comfortable large bed 👍🏼.

The Yankee Clipper was a fun and unique stay. Cindy was a great host, and we loved all the hiking they recommended. Now we just need to hire them to build us a skoolie! ;-)

Truly beautiful scenery and very quiet

This was a great spot to end your day and rest after a day of exploring. I would imagine it would be good for people not wanting to get out much, also. Angie communicates very quickly, wanted to be sure everything was going well and was very helpful.

We arrived at Robbie's just before sundown after a long day's drive from east Tennessee with 2 good-sized dogs. It was a nice surprise to drive up to Get-away Acres to self-check into a tidy and cozy little farm cottage perfect for our needs. Although due to our schedules (we were on a fast-paced cross-country trip, arrived late, left before dawn) we didn't get to meet Robbie, communication with him was easy and straightforward. Breakfast at the Log Cabin Restaurant down the highway was superb. We would definitely stay at Get-away Acres again and would have liked to explore the area had we had more time.

Robbie's was exactly what we needed after a day floating at The Landing on the Current River. Directions got us there easily and check in was a breeze. Showered, laundry, dinner, TV and some relaxing then an easy check out in the morning!

10/10 would recommend and definitely want to come back here! Such a beautiful property that this place sits on. Great outdoor space to sit and have coffee and breakfast in the morning. Robbie is so communicative and really ensures that you're able to find the property. Super helpful and attentive. We LOVED staying here!

The cabin is centrally located to anything you would want to do in Mammoth Springs but it still has an element of privacy. The beds are comfortable and not worn down to dips and springs. The bathroom, kitchen and general living areas are clean and tidy as expected. However, there are several amenities that must not go unmentioned. For example the large supper table is big enough for everyone to sit down together, the comfortable chairs in front of the TV are amazing and most importantly, the back yard. It is big, maintained and private. The fire pit is a work of art and the back porch sitting area is just wonderful. If your going to stay in Mammoth Springs, AR or even near it, quit looking and start booking. You'll be a lucky traveler if this spot is available on your next trip.

Cool place. Wish I could have been there longer than my short 12 hour stay. A little more "camp" like than expected -but nice. Hot water, food/snacks, welcoming feel, TV, coffee maker, etc... would stay again. Didn't get to check out any of the cool outdoor stuff (fire pit, river, fishing, 85 acres of trails/land) but will next time through. A little hard to spot the drive if it's after sun down.

This cabin is great! The hosts are super helpful and responsive. The kids loved the fire pit and the zip line. Great value with lots of nice small touches. Comfy beds and relaxing.

Private, rustic cabin with the modern essentials. Lots of space for a couple or small group. Short drive to food, shopping and sites. Cabin equipped with extra amenities. Really would just need your clothes everything else is stocked. Nice extras that we didn’t even take advantage of using.

This cabin is perfect for families or couples wanting to be away from other cabins! The privacy is awesome and you get everything you pay for! All the amenities are there for you to use also! The host is quick to respond if you have any problems and overall a great cabin!

Great fishing trip!!!

The cabin exceeded all of our expectations. It was so clean, welcoming, and had more than plenty of amenities for our trip! The back porch was wonderful to sit at with a hot cup of coffee and watch the world wake up, and the zipline was a blast too! We used the cabin for a small best friend's bachlorette get away, and it was perfect! We hope to stay at this cabin in the future!

Super cute cabin on a river. Kiddos loved this stay! Danny was responsive and communicative. No issues, at all. Great host and space.

Cozy retreat! Danny’s cabin was the ideal space for my family of 3 and our dog, as we had a 3-day swim meet. The location was private, yet close to the aquatics center & town. We were arriving after dark; Danny had the lights on for us. The decor is both rustic and chic - love it!

An amazing cabin on the Current River with a host that is quick to respond and will make sure everything is taken care of. If you are looking for complete seclusion, you will need to keep looking. Like others who stayed here, we were the only people staying within sight (stayed fall of 2019 and cabins to left and right were empty our entire stay), but you are within earshot of a highway and will hear some occasional traffic. But outside of that, you will hear nothing but the Current River flowing a stones throw away from the cabin door. A porch swing over looks the river, there is a small fire pit, and a walk down to a dock on the river. If you are looking for time on/in the river, or just time away from things, this is the place to go. If something is not what it should be let Danny know and he will set it straight.

Words can not describe how wonderful this cabin is and how wonderful Danny is. His hospitality goes well beyond what anyone would expect. The scenery is so breath taking. I don’t think life on this river could get any better. So peaceful and quiet. Very friendly neighbors. Danny was so sweet. Very accommodating and such a sweet person. Making sure the boys were able to be boys and play and do boy things. Had everything ready for the kids. The decorations of the cabin are so adorable. The signs, the lamps. Everything. Even down to the trimming inside the cabin. A really neat place to check out. Simply gorgeous. Danny did an incredible job here. True cabin on a river. Everything was sparkling clean. Very roomy. The beds were super comfy and plenty of blankets, pillows, towels etc. he thought of everything. Check in was a piece of cake. My kids had an incredible time. I love having my morning coffee on the deck over looking the river as the sun rises. Sitting on the porch style swing watching my boys fish on the dock. Home cooked meals were easy to do in this cabin. Bonfire with smore’s after right outside in the fire pit. Fishing the current river (or shall I say catching cuz they definitely weren’t fishing). Everything was incredible at this place. I highly recommend staying a few nights. It’s an experience you’ll never forget. I regret not booking more nights. My kids didn’t want to leave. We will be staying longer our next visit out. I can’t wait to go back. Thank you for everything Danny.

Pictures did NOT do this place it’s justice! Location was amazing, literally the front door opens to view the Current River! The host, Danny had SO many nice added/thoughtful touches as well! From the lights around the cabin that you can plug in at night time, to the outdoor fire pit with wood and lighter fluid available, to the tiki torches, the adorable porch swing facing the river,...the list literally goes on! Great place, great value, HIGHLY recommend!

Right on the Current River with not a soul around. It was great.

Danny's place is quiet and secluded along the banks of the Current River. Situated among other cabins with easy access, I did not see anyone else during my stay. The back deck is perfect for relaxing and listening to the river flow by. I am looking forward to the next stay.

Sits right on current river with river access which is exactly what we like. Fishing is great too! We were able to visit spots on the river where my husband fished with his dad 30 years ago, so it was a trip down memory lane for him. And we were able to make new memories of our own. We’ve stayed at countless cabins throughout the states. This one was by far the best value overall. We will be back!!

for anyone who ever wanted to disappear into the wilderness and find a beautiful home, a loving couple, Jacuzzi tub, breakfast cooked to order and plenty of drums to beat out the dole drums of big city life this is the place to do it. Way back from everything and just about the time you think you might be lost you find yourself.

Sam’s place was immaculate and very comfy! My daughter and I had a great time. This Airbnb is in a beautiful spot. Everything was in perfect order-clean, comfy and with all the nice touches to make our stay perfect. Sam even made us some fresh buttered popcorn for our movie night upstairs. We were so exhausted after a day on the Spring River. Sam’s place was perfect to rejuvenate, rest and refresh. His breakfast making was fantastic too.

Sam is a good host. He went out of his way to make us feel welcomed. This was a relaxing spot to stay after kayaking down the river. Must have a truck or SUV to access. A car isn't going to make it. We would like to visit again

If you are looking for a getaway from your daily hustle THIS IS THE PERFECT place. Just a few tips if you come in winter. 1. you can never have enough wood. They sell it and I highly recommend you getting it. (We thought we could just find enough to keep us warm 🤦‍♀️). 2. when they say no cell service believe them. 3. Get what you need before you get there closest store is 14 miles. Kathy and Robert both were amazing. Kathy was very informative and quick to respond. Robert gave lots of amazing recommendations for hikes. Can't wait to go back in the spring.

This is a wonderful place to get away from everything. No electricity. No WiFi. No running water (in winter) Lots of deep and beautiful woods and a great warm wood stove. A perfect place to get away from modern life. The night sky was amazing with no light pollution at all. And Kathy and Robert make you feel very welcome.

This was the perfect place for what my husband and I were looking for: A place to get away from all the distractions of modern life. We loved that there was no cell phone service. It was basically a camping experience but with a little more protection verses camping with a tent. Great experience!

Robert was so friendly and helpful about the area. It was far in the Missouri Wilderness and with his detailed directions we didnt get lost once. We were looking for privacy and a feeling of freedom and that is exactly what was offered. We feel completely renewed after our stay and have not gotten to enjoy nature like that in a long time. Even though we couldnt get the firewood to light (we forgot lighter fluid and it was damp because it rained) we got a ton for what we paid and even more was offered! Their farm fresh eggs were delicious!!!! And the scenery is unmatched. We went for a hike to their creek in the morning, their dogs were friendly and the peacocks were beautiful, we saw deer on the property and if we drove slow and careful we were fine getting up the short hill to the cabin with our ford focus, and the hospitality was unmatched. We will definitely be back. I highly suggest it if your looking for a step above tent camping and it would be great for hunting season.

Beautiful place for those who want to be surrounded by nature and really want to sit in the middle of nowhere! In this respect everything is super basic and you have to be ok with insects, mice etc. around you. Every day we encountered something different. Kathy and Robert are very welcoming and helpful!

We really enjoyed our stay. We had a family medical issue and could not check in on our scheduled day. Our host was gracious enough to extend our checkout time. My granddaughter really enjoyed seeing all the cows and deer in the fields. The mooing of the cows didn't bother us at all. I enjoyed checking out that wood burning furnace (not in use) in the mud room! The house has electric heat and we were cozy warm. The house was sparkling clean and we would definitely stay there again!

This home is absolutely beautiful, they provide everything you need and more. We truly enjoyed the quiet country setting, and can’t wait to go back!!

I had just moved out of my house and needed a place to stay for a few nights when I looked on Airbnb to see what was in the area. We had stayed in the Super 8 motel the previous night so I was excited to find an entire cabin for the same price. It was exactly as described and the host was super friendly and very accommodating. We enjoyed it so much we stayed another night. Very satisfied with our stay here.

If you are looking for a place to relax, this is it. I promise you will not be disappointed. It is a beautiful place and beautiful surroundings. The water looks just like it does in the picture. We are a family that loves to be in nature. It rained the entire time we were there. It didn’t matter because it was like we were in a beautiful rain forest. We can’t wait to go back in the summer to enjoy the beauty of outside. The wood burning stove was amazing. It made us feel snuggly. This was our 1st AirBnB experience. Teresa's Place is absolutely beautiful and amazing. The photos on Airbnb doesn't do it justice. From the time we arrived until the day we checked out, the time spent there was just phenomenal. The location was perfect and we are definitely going back! Teresa is very responsive to all questions and a wonderful host.

This special little place is so cozy, so peaceful and right on the river! It could not have been more perfect! My husband and I got a much needed respite, and our dogs had the time of their lives! We loved everything about it!

We stayed at “all about that beach” shanty 11 points river !! Oh gosh I could go on and on but if you want and peaceful, relaxing place this is perfect !! Hubby and I wanted just that and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!! It was better than we expected. And Teresa was the best host ever !! Quick to reply to any questions. The Bonney House was a great place to stay! I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the Van Buren area. The space was very clean, friendly hosts, peaceful setting, and the breakfast was absolutely amazing. We will be staying here the next time we return to current river!

Our stay with Beverly and Kevin was wonderful. We truly enjoyed the awesome springs and river right on the property and even saw a beaver swim right past us. Our stay was clean and comfortable. Book this cabin! Such a beautiful way to reconnect and unplug! Every inch of this cabin had a special little detail and decoration. The ambience at night in the hot tub suite was unbelievable! We saw a bald eagle fly and land right outside our deck, deer running through the woods, and an owl hooted for us every evening. What a breath of fresh air it was to get out and away! We enjoyed the walking trail around the cabin and we made a bonfire in the amazing outside fireplace. The beds were so comfortable and the bathroom was spotless! Best AirBnB I have stayed at. My wife and I loved our time there. It rained the whole trip, but even though that limited us to the indoors, there was still plenty to do. The screened-in porch feels like it's own spa! The cabin itself feels very homey; you can tell a lot of effort was put into making it not just a vacation place but a home away from home. The property itself is very large, and the isolation is so relaxing and peaceful. The perfect place to get away, unplug from life and technology, and just rest! One of our favorite vacations as a couple.

What a wonderful place to get away to! The hot tub room was pure heaven. Everything was clean and beautifully decorated. Very peaceful and aesthetically pleasing. Nice, quiet little cabin. Nice view of the river and wild life. Saw turkeys and deer and wild ducks. Its definitely peaceful. Although it rained almost the entire time we were there, and dropped from 70 to 40 over night, we had a great stay. Huge covered porch with comfortable seating. Nice stairs down to the river and 2 fire pits. One by the cabin and one right on the waters edge. We were able to build a few fires between rain downpours.. indoors, I loved the decor and colors. Very little counter space but it's very open and you have lots of moving space. It was very clean, although had a large family of ladybugs living there. Bathroom is nice with it's own heater. Small shower. But very clean. Roomba vacuum was a nice surprise. Let me add also that it was me, my husband, our 11 year old daughter and 11 month old twins. It was extremely kid friendly inside. The babies had a blast crawling around and playing on the comfy furniture. Overall, a 5 star stay. We just wish it would've been nice weather. We will visit again when its warmer.

Teresa was great. We had a fantastic little place right on the river, and well off the beaten path, which is what we were hoping for. Mike was a great help with transporting our kayaks from our cottage to a nice little conservation area to put in. It was nice that we could float from there, right up to the cabin. To get in and out of the river from the house is a pretty steep set of stairs. Use caution! From what I understand guard rails are being installed very soon. I understand it is very difficult to build something that close to the river, as we watched the water level rise several inches during a rainstorm. All in all, this was a great place to stay, and it was just what we needed.

Exactly as the picture show. Nice cabin! Right on the water. Peaceful and quiet. Just what we needed. Loved the porch and fire pit area! We will be back.

Pleasant cabin retreat! Teresa is a gracious host, allowing us to rent their kayaks and providing shuttling service. The cabin was decorated super-cute and was extremely comfortable to come back to after day on the river. We have AT&T for cell service and could usually get at least one bar to make a call or text out and use GPS. We look forward to coming back.

A very homey feel to the place. Takes me back to my childhood. Could use a few upgrades, but, overall, a comfortable place and great value.

We were in town for a special family birthday and this worked well for two siblings and our mates sharing Lori's place. Nice and convenient to town.

We had such a fun and relaxing girls' weekend here! This RV is such a great deal and perfect for views and convenience and privacy and simplicity. It's up on a little hill so you can look out over the woods and river and hills beyond the river and sunrises. So peaceful. It is a rustic setting, but the RV itself is so cute and inviting and clean. And this hostess will respond right away with any questions. Highly recommend! And you can't beat the price!

Nice new trailer, convenient access and parking, public access beach/boat launch a very short ride or easily walked from the campsite, quiet nights...a good value that’s located near many rivers.

This is a beautiful, modern, spacious home with a quiet setting in the midst of a farm. The views from both upstairs and ground level are picturesque. Amenities are bountiful; and the screened in porch is great for dogs. The river access below the patio is nice for fishing. We were happy to spend a relaxing first day of the new year here with our dog and look forward to booking this again!

Be sure to connect in advance for directions from North 67 as Google maps will take you to a quarry with a closed road. We rerouted and got there on country roads which just added to the fun. The house is wonderful with all those windows next to the river and a lovely pasture with horses, sheep, goats, cows, a lama and lambs. Very quiet and picturesque location. Our dog really loved getting to run free around the house and visiting state parks when closed for winter because there is no one there (more free running!). It rained a bit for 2 days, so we put together the on-site puzzle, read books, and played games we brought. Watching stars on the last nite through the skylight above the king bed was great! Would love to come back in the summer to take advantage of the screened porch, hammock, and river.

This hidden getaway is a diamond in the rough. The pictures can’t do it justice. It sits right on the water and is so peaceful and quiet. We appreciated being able to bring our pups and plan to visit again!

A comfortable home away from home.

This home is lovely. We had a great visit and our son and dogs enjoyed running in the large yard.

I can't say enough how wonderful this place is. The hospitality, extra touches, beauty of the place...it all combines to create an incredible experience. The cabin has all the amenities, including a wonderful kitchen, beautiful deck, screened-in porch, and lovely views. The cabin sits right on (I mean right on) the Black River and on the other side overlooks an idyllic field full of grazing animals. We'll be making this a regular visit as we can't wait to go back!

My husband and I spent our anniversary weekend at Laurie’s home. It was honestly one of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve had. We arrived after dark but had no problem finding the house. Once inside, we were pleasantly surprised to see that it was even nicer than the photos in the listing indicated. The home was spotless and included everything we needed for a comfy stay including a grill, charcoal, a fully stocked kitchen (with coffee and creamer!) and laundry room. The decor was charming and bright. We had a minor issue with the internet the second night of our stay and contacted Laurie about it. She answered immediately and the problem was resolved within minutes. My husband and I loved this home and would definitely stay here again!

A really nice place with just a short walk to the current river and multiple restaurants. We made this trip on our motorcycle and found it easy to get around on foot when not riding. Laurie had a cooler, bag chairs , and towels for our use at the river. We had a great trip!

The home was adorable and comfortable. It has everything you could need for a short or extended stay. The location is perfect for many activities and the area has a fantastic and friendly small town feel. The host went out of her way to accommodate us. She went as far as to help me find a local Dr for my son when he became ill. We couldn't have asked for more.

Often when you book a place in a rural area you don’t always get a nice house. After visiting this area for almost 30 years I can say this place is the best in the area. Very clean, had everything you would need, they even have extra chairs and towels for your use. The washer and dryer is great for washing those wet clothes before you pack. Located right in town (a town of less than 400 people) it’s convenient to everything and the beds are SO MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE than the local hotels. The only thing you should note, and this is not an issue with the house, the area has very sketchy cell service. So screen shot the address and door code before you get to town. Needless to say I will be booking with her for years to come!

This is a wonderful place to stay. You feel right at home, the sunroom is amazing! We spent most of our time out there! Came for a work trip and will definitely come back!

David and Karen were such amazing hosts for a Valentine’s get away. They went above and beyond what we had expected. We came in to a very clean house, with strawberries and wine in the fridge. The strawberries were so amazing! My wife and I don’t drink but the thought they put into making us as comfortable as they possibly could is what mattered to us. Our next stay in Poplar Bluff will definitely be at David and Karen’s. Also the sun room is amazing!

The house is in a super convenient location for being able to get around poplar bluff. Neighborhood is still quiet and minimal traffic. The bedrooms and rest of the house are stocked with plenty of extra amenities that you don't normally see in every airbnb. Plenty of cookware and appliances to cook anything. Bedrooms were great and comfortable and the house is very comfortable with plenty of seating areas and eatting areas.
