Très bon emplacement, très tranquille, location spacieuse, il suffit de traverser la route pour être sur la plage, on est proche de tout. Tonino et Sheila sont très sympathiques même s'ils sont peu présents. Mais bon on est à 2 pas de Grand Baie, des restos, bars, super marchés.

L'appartement est bien placé, accès bus, commerces, restaurant . Juste la rue à traverser et accès à la plage, baignade possible et agréable . Le logement est propre, avec le confort suffisant pour un agréable séjour, le plus ...belle varangue avec salon, nous avons apprécié les apéros et moments en ce lieu . Les proprio sont très sympas, belles rencontres . En résumé, ce séjour sur l’île Maurice est l'un de nos voyage Top 5 .

Logement fidèle à l'annonce, à deux pas de la plage et 5 min du centre a pied. Accueil parfait.

Danke Tonino und Shila für die netten 2 Wochen. Mauritius hat uns sehr gefallen. Die zentrale Lage des Appartements hat es uns ermöglicht überall schnell und unkompliziert hinzukommen. Zum Super-U (Shoppin(SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) ) sind es gemütliche 10min, zum Hafen wenige Minuten . Die schönen Strände liegen gut erreichbar mit dem Bus. Wer reinen Strandurlaub oder Tauchen will ist allerdings in Trou aux Biches oder Pereybere besser aufgehoben. Schräg über die Straße ist ein französisch-kreolisches Restaurant " Les Canisses..." absolute empfehlenswert !!! Das Beach House weniger =(

The house is perfect for a long or short getaway. You will need a car to get around though unless you enjoy very long and busy bus rides. Communication with the hosts was great. The neighbours too are all super friendly and helpful. Its a lively and safe neighbourhood. We enjoyed our BBQs on the terrace.

The house is a very nice and well established house. Unfortunately it is not maintained very well... and because of this lots of the things were not to be used. The house itself is a very good house, but because it is not maintained it has a few cracks here and there. Water pressure is not so good, we had to fill up buckets of water to take a bath. Good bus connection to rest of mauritius, and also taxis are available for a fair price. Neighbours helped alot... so in the end we had a good stay when we learned about the house. A a fair price for the location, it is a bit remote but good connections.

We spent at Mathilde's a very enjoyable week. Mathilde is full of nice touches. The house is charming, well-appointed, comfortable, furnished with taste. We felt it was immediately at home. The availability of the car was a plus. Mathilde has always been very responsive when we requested. We definitely recommend this house.

Our week in the home of Matilda was bliss. The pool and car are more real. The house is charming, well decorated, well equipped and clean. Matilda is adorable. She bends over backwards to meet all your demands. Mathilde thank you for making our stay so easy.

This is a great cost effective deal as you get a car along with the duplex. The pictures are reflective of the duplex and the owner did a great job with the outside space and the inside decoration is also nice.

We spent a pleasant day in the villa. The reception was excellent and the wonderful villa. Mathilde has always been for us together and give us the information we need to discover the island. This will remain an unforgettable experience for us a big thank you to Matilda.

Our stay was very enjoyable. The house is large and spacious, well appointed, very decorated. Books and documents on the island are at our disposal. Car hire is an important asset since the house is quite eccentric. This allowed us to visit the island without problems. I recommend this problem without accommodation, we were very well received. Fellow travelers, if you seek the perfect place to spend holidays in Mauritius, look no further. The house is exactly as in the description, welcoming, clean and very nice. Our hosts, Mathilde and Jonathan were great, present when we needed it. A big thank you to them. The car is a real plus for walking around, go shopping or go to the lovely little beach next to the house. There are almost no tourists, that Mauritian, and it's very nice. For longer trips, preferred is an excellent GPS or a taxi, traffic is quite chaotic (LHD, unexpected shutdown on the side of the road ...) and almost non-existent directions. We had the chance to meet the gardener's residence that made us discover the south. possibly see him if he can accompany you on his free time, against compensation. If it is available, it will happily and competently.

Nice warm house, well maintained, very nice little outdoor swimming pool, relaxation area and decorated with various plants carefully, not overlooked. Quiet. Perfect for a family! The car included is a neighborhood ++ because a little away from main roads to reach the shops and beaches on foot. (- 5min drive) Julien is very friendly and at our disposal for any information throughout the stay. Do not hesitate!

A beautiful villa, perfect for a family with kids. Its been maintained very well. Nicolas is very prompt in all the queries. Check in and Check out was very smooth. Need a car or taxi to move around, which we were planning to by hiring the car.Has a nice pool usually used on weekends by occupants. Villa is part of a secure and gated area.

We had a wonderful 10 day stay at Villa Pupunu (VP) last month. The location of VP is in Grand Gaube which is in the quieter part of the island, so if you like to experience the real Mauritius then this is the place to be. The villa itself was great, everything was as advertised, it had a kitchen, fridge, stove, microwave, AC, WiFi, washing machine, pool, tv, BBQ, 24 hr. security, etc. Having a kitchen saved us from going out every time as this part of the island tends to shut down very early and also made it easy on our pocketbook. Also, the villa is built very recently and felt very modern, contemporary and very comfortable. The beach at Grand Gaube is about a 20 minute walk, actually there are multiple beaches depending on which one you want to visit. For transportation, we had thoughts about renting a scooter or car but after we became acclimated to the environment we started to get around the island using the local buses and the shared taxis (rates are negotiable). The bus stop on the main road is about a 15 minute walk from VP. Using the local bus, we twice went to Port Louis and pretty much anywhere on the island is accessible by bus, the only time you may want to do a shared taxi is when the bus interval is a little long and you are short on time. There is a website that has all the bus schedules so it wasn't very difficult to figure out and it is a great way to experience the island. Nicolas and his wife Mika (our hosts) could not have been nicer, they were always prompt and responsive and always available for any questions. Mika took me to the supermarket on the second day so we could stock up on groceries, Nicolas gave me a temporary sim card which came in very handy. I have very fond memories of Mauritius and hopefully will be back someday in the future and would love to stay at VP again.

Probably my review will be very long, cause I'm going to write it on english and russian) First about Nicolas and Mika-they are very nice and friendly people, who always take care about you and your (URL HIDDEN) and my husband are very glad thet we met them!They helped us in every question we've got. About villa- it's absolutely wonderful! very cozy,comfortable,clean and modern. There you can find everything you need, the kitchen is fully equiped, you also will have a back yard with a grill.Rooms are very well decorated.The place is quiet and safe.It was our honeymoon and I'm very glad that we spent it in such a beautiful place. Хозяева этой виллы просто замечательные люди,очень дружелюбные,заботливые и отзывчивые.Они помогали нам со всеми возникающими вопросами, организовали морскую прогулку и плавание с дельфинами. Вилла очень красивая и уютная,чистая, полностью оборудованная всем необходимым.Есть свой внутренний дворик с грилем, есть бассейн,место,где она находится тихое и спокойное. Это был наш медовый месяц и я очень рада, что мы выбрали именно эту виллу, лучшего места для отдыха просто не найти!

I had a really great time at Villa Pupunu in Grand Gaube. Both Nicolas and Mica made me feel very welcome with Mica taking the time to drive me around the local vicinity explaining everything I needed to know. The villa itself is just as described and was immaculately clean on arrival. It is very comfortable to live in and the area is very quiet. Even though the bus stop is less than 10 minutes walk away Villa Pupunu is best to suited to those with their own transport although I managed through a combination of walking, buses and taxis to get wherever I needed to go. Be sure to ask Nicola to email his Practical Sheet before your arrival as Villa Pupunu is a little tricky to find first time up (although it is located in a road a simple right turn off the main road heading into Grand Gaube) . This is a one pager with the address, a very useful map (showing all the nearby shops and other places of interest) plus useful phone numbers. I'd also suggest having plenty of cash as most of the local restaurants do not accept credit/debit cards and there is no cash machine in Grand Gaube itself. Be sure to check out some of the local restaurants though as they are exceptional - especially the plain looking seafood restaurant opposite Shyam Supermarket . Thanks Nicolas and Mica for welcoming me to Grand Gaube and helping make my stay most enjoyable.

Nicolas followed up every few days before the trip which was a very positive gesture and made us feel more comfortable. He picked us up at the airport, took us on a mini-tour, set us up with a car rental, and took us to do groceries. The house was in better shape than the listing showed! All amenities were in top shape. The neighbourhood was very safe - a gated community, with a 24/7 security guard - and private.

Probably the best apartment/villa I've rented via Airbnb. Clean and nice decorated villa with everything you need. I've spent one month in villa and I felt like home. Nicolas and his wife is very kind and helpful with anything you need, literally anything! Thank you for making my stay in Mauritius very pleasant.

Nicolas' flat looks excatly like on the pictures. We stayed 10 days and had a great time. He was a superb host and eager to help with any questions we had. The area of the flat is very quiet, but also a bit further away from the action. So I'd strongly recommend anyone who rents the flat to also take a rental car. The other thing to note for people that might be super sensitive to too much heat: the living room/kitchen does not have an aircon unit (the bedrooms do have them though), so it does get quite hot in the flat during the day in the summer months. We had a great time and enjoyed our privacy and space!

A very comfortable and pleasant apartment in a quaint and pleasing village in the North of Mauritius. We enjoyed our stay and can recommend Villa Pupunu to any guest wishing to visit the area. NB there is no banister on the stairs so be careful with children
