Barry was totally awesome! He contacted me before my arrival to get the details of getting into the house. He also took me to Langley AFB to run some errands! The room and bathroom were clean, lockable with key, and the location was central to all shopping, food, nightlife!

Not a fancy place, but it was adequate for our needs, as we were trying to find someplace close to Langley AFB. Comfortable, quiet and clean. Barry did a good job communicating with us and responded quickly when we had a question. Note that (at least in our case) this is a "bed" listing only and not a "bed and breakfast," which worked out fine for us since we ended up having breakfast each day with our relatives we had come to visit.

Barry and Clarence were welcoming and hospitable. The house was clean and just what I needed. A good place to get rest before my big audition/interview at Langley, which was conveniently close. Thanks for everything Barry.

My stay was very pleasant. Everything was perfectly fine. The host is a very nice guy. My only issue was that the bed was very uncomfortable.

My stay at Barry's was great. He and his brother always made sure that I was comfortable. The house was very clean and the kitchen and laundry were always available to me. Sandy was a wonderful host. She made my family feel right at home and very welcome. She was very concerned with making our stay a very relaxing vacation by giving us a list of nearby restaurants and businesses and letting us know about beaches that were nearby. The neighborhood was older, but nice and quiet. We had a very nice time.

A two-room en suite room, located in the residential area. Leon has called several times and inquired whether everything fits, very nice impression. Parking is in front of the house, internet (WLAN) worked great. In the fridge fresh eggs, bacon and O-juice, as well as coffee and milk, spices etc., so lets live. Would you recommend this hotel to a friend?

Leon was an awesome host. :-) He was super responsive, which was important to us because we needed a place to stay the very next day. My husband and I enjoyed talking with Leon as he was super friendly but not intrusive. Our favorite part of the stay would have to be the delicious homemade french toast and eggs Leon prepared for breakfast for us. Delicious! Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Although the area is a downscale the apartment itself is fine and the neighbors are friendly. It is a close walk to the Hampton Marina area where the Blackbeard festival was held and the air and space museum are. Definitely recommend getting the entire place to yourselves. Also ask Leon for instructions for the TVs. We were not sure how to work the firestick system. Leon left coffee, eggs and bacon for us to cook for breakfast which made mornings easy. All in all, a lovely stay and enjoyed by both of us. Thank you Leon.

Leon is the nicest! He's always making sure that you have everything you need. The place is not big but the room is more than enough for one or two. Leon's place is the cleanest place I have stayed to. If you want Leon can make you a really nice breakfast in the morning to start your day. If I go back to Hampton I'll definitely stay here again!

We did a last minute request and Leon did't had an issue with that. We felt welcome right away and cooked dinner together. he makes everything possible to make his guests feel welcome and comfortable. I've never had a better host and of course i won't forget that he made breakfast for us in the morning :). Recommend 100%. thanks

Great apartment at an unbeatable rate. Cameron was very friendly and went out of his way to be accommodating. The neighborhood isn't great (i.e, not very walkable, though not much IS in the area anyway), but it's relatively close to major roads and central between VA Beach and Williamsburg. Was perfect for a business trip.

Barry and his brother were great hosts, I definitely felt comfortable while I was there. The location is super convenient and is basically exactly what he specifies in distance from different attractions. The amenities went above and beyond for the value. The added bonus of having an easily accessible shower that others weren't using was really nice and useful, especially if you're coming back from the local beach.

I loved the space given to us. We were supplied with towels, coffee, a heater, fan, and more. Entering the unit was simple, we used a lock box. Replies quickly when needed. Nice neighborhood. Bed smaller than we thought, its a trundle bed. We would reccomemd this place and probably use it again.

Nice studio, close by car to beach, restaurants, museums. Several nice touches, like a basket of toiletries in case of forgotten necessaries. Quiet neighborhood, relaxing, a nice change of pace from hustle and bustle nearby.

Christina is a lovely hostess and offers a space filled with carefully thought out warm special touches: Such as: Keurig coffee maker, potpourri, even a little care pack of forgotten items for guests... we enjoyed our time in this tranquil and peaceful Space and would definitely want to come back

Great place with awesome host!

This was my first Airbnb.com reservation and I was impressed. Cynthia was very sweet to me and I appreciated her allowing me to come into her home. It was a very quiet neighborhood, the room was comfortable and she is a gracious hostess. The front living room and dining room were common areas, but I almost felt like I had the entire front part of the house to myself because Cynthia spends most of her days in the back part of the home. I was not anticipating that. I know that I will visit my family again in the near future and I plan to check her place out first for availability. I will also recommend her to my other family members that visit the area because I know they will instantly feel safe and comfortable. I had a wonderful weekend and Cynthia’s home definitely added to my good experience.

Cynthia was very kind and helpful. She loaned me a personal book of her father's to read the first night, which I enjoyed immensely. The location was very convenient to both the Newport News and Norfolk airports. The lock was very easy to use to come and go the next day. This room does not have tv, but I was able to check the news and weather forecast by the WiFi. Bathroom was large and comfortable. Her residential neighborhood is very quiet and I was able to sleep well. ThankYou Cynthia!

Cynthia is a lovely woman who has a wonderful spirit and is so inviting. I felt welcome at every moment even when I used her kitchen to prepare small meals for myself. She was very flexible and laid back. Her home is liking walking back into time with the pictures and furniture, there is a lot of history in that home. The room is like visiting an old bed and breakfast. It's full of lovely antiques. It is very comfortable. The bed is older and squeaks when shifting at night, but it had a familiar feeling which brought peace and comfort. The home was close to where I was working near the convention center so it was very convenient. She was available to talk or free to give me the quiet time I needed. I felt like I gained a friend in the time I stayed with her. For the price, there is great value in staying here. I'd stay again in a heartbeat.

Brandy's home is located in a very safe, upscale neighborhood that is close to grocery stores as well as major roads. You have your own lovely room and bathroom; the host's rooms are on the second floor. Brandy is super friendly and easy-going, a great communicator. I felt welcomed from day one! Her dog is friendly but not over the top. I highly recommend her place to travelers wanting an enjoyable stay in the Hampton Roads area!

Once I arrived I was welcomed by Brandy and her wonderful dog, Deuce! She was polite and kept the home clean! The place is located in a small neighborhood, so not much traffic and noise. Her home is close to Interstate 64 and located near many great restaurants. If you are looking for a welcoming and comfortable place to stay please consider staying at Brandy's home.

This is a great place to stay very neat and clean with updated decor. Very close to shops and restaurants. Matt and the staff were very easy to work with including letting us in early. They went above and beyond our expectations.

The apartment is located within a mile of a shopping and restaurant center. The National staff went all out to make sure we were informed about arrival procedure, including a phone call. National's Sarah Turner went above and beyond any reasonable expectation of service and we appreciated her efforts.

Great location, close to the beach. Very spacious with a lot of amenities. There's a lot of good dvds but no dvd player for main room. 2 large beds, one soft and one firm. Kitchen stocked with most of the essentials. 2 bathrooms of good size and a washer and dryer. Overall very nice condo, definitely would stay again!

The Airbnb is near to many main attractions in Hampton. Parking isn't difficult and there's great security. The apt was quaint and trendy, plus you get your own bathroom. Sandro and Lorena were sweet and communicative. Would stay again!

Sandro & Lorena were very responsive to any questions that we had and their accommodations were exactly as described. They were close to the coliseum, Hampton university/downtown and other shops/restaurants were a quick drive/uber stop away. Really appreciated the small touches such as water and soap when we checked into your room as well as recommendations for things to do while we were in town.

Sandro & Lorena's place was very modern and accessible to Hampton University. They were friendly and very kind to me. Even though I did not see them a lot because their work schedules, I felt welcomed and at home. I would love to stay there again.

Barry was a consummate communicator and a great host. We stayed in touch as I drove from DC to Hampton and he was waiting when I arrived. He gave a quick tour of the homestead and I was pleased. The place was fairly empty and very quiet at night (the fighter jets at Langley AFB make it a touch loud in the daytime). I rate bed comfort, a place to work while on the road, and wifi strength. All were excellent, though you will need to work in the dinning room or kitchen.

My boyfriend and I had a great experience staying at Barry's place. The check in process was super simple and easy and the room was exactly as described. The place was clean and comfortable. I actually didn't get to meet Barry myself but my boyfriend did and said he seemed like an overall good guy and was very friendly. We also met his brother Clarence who was super friendly too. They both wanted to make sure we were comfortable during our stay. If we ever need someplace to stay in the area again we will definitely try to stay at Barry's place again.

Bill was a gracious host. He responded immediately to all of our messages. The house was clean and welcoming. Bill was fixing what smelled like a delicious dinner when we arrived a little earlier than planned. We sat outside and our 1 year old explored the yard with wild strawberries growing throughout. As this was our first AirBnB stay we were nervous, but he melted all that awkwardness with his gentle smile. We didn't spend much time inside as we were there for a graduation. We got back kind of late and went to bed. The room was clean and he had little notes around the room with wifi instructions and tv Instructions. I would definitely stay or recommend again.

We stopped over late one night on our way to Virginia Beach. Bill was very accommodating. It was a pleasure to speak to him in the morning and hear his stories about being a ship Captain. Great coffee and selection of breakfast treats.

We could store our food in the fridge and he provided towels. The bed was okay to sleep in - it squeaks a little when you turn around and the A/C is kind of loud but we just shut it off. Regina's home and accommodation was nothing less than perfect. The place was beautiful, clean, and a minute walk from downtown Hampton. The cupboards were stocked with all of the cooking and dining utensils you'd need as well as plenty of paper towels, napkins, and toilet paper. She also had a couple drinks and snacks in the fridge for us. There were notes explaining how to work all of the appliances as well as a list of restaurants and activities in the area. She was very friendly and didn't bother us during our stay, only came over to make sure we got checked in alright. Buckroe beach is a very short drive away and a very family friendly beach. The drive to Virginia Beach was only about 40 minutes. Overall a great experience and I would definitely recommend this place.

This was exactly the getaway we needed! Regina's place is delightful, and well-appointed. The space is private, airy, bright, and really comfortable. We felt like we'd walked into a storybook. It's walking distance from a bunch of great restaurants and right on the waterfront. It's just minutes away from a few wonderful beaches, too. Check-in and checkout were seamless, and though we did not see her until checkout, Regina made sure we knew she was available should we have needed anything. Definitely a fantastic experience and one we hope to recreate soon. Highly recommend!

What a great place to stay! Regina really thinks of everything you may need but is also just a text away. She had all the info laid out, so you really don't have to ask any questions. It's super close to restaurants and a very short drive to the beach. We were there over a weekend and downtown has a fun little block party with bands and good food. The cottage itself is quiet, clean, and super cozy. I really can't say enough good things about this place. Thank you for such a great experience! We can't wait to come back!

My boyfriend and I could not have asked for a better experience. We had no troubles checking in. Regina cordially greeted us in-person, left us with informative resources on the surrounding establishments to enjoy, and even provided us with a hospitable welcoming of snacks. She enticipated the needs of her guests by providing kitchen ware and tolitries; both of which were useful to us. There was air conditioning and fans to keep us cool. The bed was super comfortable. There were no problems with the cottage's utilities. We greatly enjoyed lounging on the back deck which was beautifully decorated. The cottage's location is within an ideal distance of various attractions within Virginia. We had a wonderful vacation that was greatly due in part by our experience at this cottage. I would strongly recommend staying here!

Regina has an artistic style that shines through this location's clean character and charming exterior, and her space was well organized with travelers Jen mind. While my stay was for business with little down time, I felt very comfortable in the space and the neighborhood and would be glad to come back on another trip. Though it worked fine for me at 5'5", the cozy bathroom might be a challenge to maneuver within for someone on the tall side.

Susan was a wonderful host. She made sure we were comfortable in her home, and that our entire stay was comfortable. She was very responsive to any questions. We had to move our stay back a week, and Susan was most accommodating. The house was nicely appointed, clean and well-stocked. Its location right on the water was picturesque. The house is located directly next door to one of Langley Air Force Base's gates. Watching the pilots on their practice runs was very cool to watch. Should we need accommodations in Hampton again, we'll definitely stay at Susan's house!
