Great stay. Very welcome and friendly atmosphere. Shawn is always available and open-minded. We asked to leave our bags since the morning of the check-in day and to leave our bikes in the garden every night.Sawn always agreed and helped us with everything.

Yu-Jui wasn't at the place as many others described. Only the really nice and friendly roommate Jerry was there. I thoroughly enjoyed talking with Jerry. As for the room, it was clean, simple, and one of the best last minute places you can get I think in Oxford. I didn't like that the upstairs bath apparently has no pressure, so everyone uses the downstairs shower, and that the dryer wasn't working at the time, and I hope those things will be fixed. Overall, a nice place and very accessible to bus lines and Oxford Brookes. Yu-Jui is also an excellent host and is very responsive.

The environment is very quiet, very complete daily necessities, not far from the city center.

She and her nephew are great hosts. They re so helpful. The place is clean, large and allows you feel good. The place is a bit far to walk from the city but if you spare some time to walk, its fine. Otherwise, go with bus or cab or bike!

I’d been delayed a bit by heavy traffic but Shawn was very reassuring, and so hospitable throughout my stay. He was always friendly and ready to help, providing handy tips on the various local shops and eateries, and the best bus stops for town. My room was spacious and comfy with a good large desk, perfect for me as I had some writing to do. The wi-fi was fast and reliable. The house was warm and always beautifully clean and tidy, with a well equipped kitchen including shared cupboards and fridge space, and communal dining table. Shawn’s friends and housemates were all most welcoming company too. The front garden had a smart new patio with plenty parking space for cars. The street and neighbourhood are quiet and safe, with frequent buses all day and every day. Even on foot, the start of central Oxford was just a 20 or so minute walk, with the route in soon reaching Oxford Brookes and the leafy Headington Hill Park. So after sightseeing on the Sunday, I walked back to take in more of the local area. Although I was there for just a weekend, I had a perfect stay, and really appreciated being able to stop for some rest and a brief nap before my long drive home. Wholeheartedly recommend, and a big thank you Shawn!

Frances is a warm welcoming person who I enjoyed having interesting chats with. This is a proper 'homely' home. I stayed in a newly-built annex bedroom. The room contains a kitchenette, and comes with breakfast supplies provided. The bed is unusually high off the ground, but comfortable. There is a modern shower/toilet room next door. Very convenient location with buses and shops nearby. Would definitely stay again.

This flat was wonderful and I would highly recommend it to anyone staying in Oxford. It's very well-maintained, in a nice little area with easy access to any part of the city by walking or bus. Also, the host, David, is kind and helpful. I had a great time staying here while I attended a conference and couldn't recommend it highly enough for others.

David was very helpful and even came to pick me up at the bus stop. I already knew the area but he gave me a few pointers for the neighbourhood. Walking to town was straightforward and easy, and the buses were very regular too. Lots of nice cafés and restaurants nearby, and a big Tesco. The flat was nice, cosy and very warm, even in bitter cold weather. The shower was hot with really good pressure. Overall, we had a really nice stay and would stay again next time in Oxford.

We had a good stay in this apartment. David was helpful in the check in and out procedures. He also responded quickly to any queries we had during and before our stay. The apartment was comfortable. The only slight inconvenience was that the shower was not made for tall people like us! But this is a very minor point.

We had a great stay at David's place. It was just a 10 minute walk from where the airport bus dropped us off and very close to everything we needed. There are a few different supermarkets nearby and walking to the centre of Oxford was easy. The basement flat has everything you need to comfortably cook food and relax. We are both 6 ft tall and wouldn't recommend this place if you are much taller than that just due to the low ceilings and shower if you want to be comfortable, but besides that it's a great place to stay, thanks!

Amazing flat in Oxford! This was my first experience using Airbnb, and it was excellent for two people. The place is clean and spacious, and very warm (crucial fact during the colder days). The flat made us feel comfortable as soon as we entered, and the kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom provided all the things we needed. The flat is located in a really good area, with all types of stores and restaurants just one block away. Walking to City centre, Headington and Abingdon road was easy, and the bus stop was also near. Although we did not meet in person, we were in constant communication with David from the beginning, and he was always available to help us with doubts during the booking, arrival, and departure. We received all instructions on time, so even if we had some flight and bus delays, David and his friend helped us with the logistics. We had a really nice, warm and cosy Christmas time. We will definitely contact David again for our next trips to Oxford. 100% recommended!

Very nice place, comprising of the entire lower ground floor of the host's house. Located in Cowley, it can serve as a spacious base to explore oxford and is a 25 minute walk from the university. The accommodation it self is clean, and a range of home comforts are provided. Even though I had little interaction with my hosts, they were most friendly on the occasions our paths crossed. I would recommend to others who need accommodation in Oxford.

We have had a nice stay at Oxford. Susie was very kind to us and answered our questions. The flat was clean and nice. In a very quiet area. The flat has a good parkingspace next to the flat. Ed and Hollie were fantastic hosts! Incredibly kind and friendly, I cannot recommend them enough. The bedroom had more than enough space for me and my partner and the bed was very comfortable and made with fresh sheets; we slept very well. The flat itself was clean and homely. Trinkets around the home hint at the exciting and inspiring life Ed and Hollie lead. I felt truly honoured to be welcomed into the home of such a wonderful couple and would definitely stay with them again. Their two cats also made sure to help us feel at home, both coming for extended cuddles in the evening. The location was great for visiting Oxford Brookes University and eating out down Cowley Road, if you're visiting the area I definitely recommend staying with Ed and Hollie.

Within six Airbnb hosts, Benjamin was the best. We arrived very late and he was so kind to pick us up and he even offered us something for dinner. Then we talked for a long time as he's an interesting partner for conversations. The location is quiet and beautiful. I would go there again.

Great stay with Ben, lovely place. As almost everyone says, it's hard to find, but Ben met us at our bus stop and led us on the ten-minute walk to the front door, so no problems. Really comfortable bed. Good location for seeing Oxford, 20 minute walk or a 5 min bus ride to the Catweazle (Thursday night open mics there are awesome, check it out if you can).

Ben was really friendly and helpful. He speaks English and German fluently. The room was nice and clean and we had everything we needed. The house was in a really quite neighborhood slightly far away from the city centre. (25mins by foot) Ben ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Er spricht englisch und deutsch fließend. We booked to stay 2 nights with Ben. Unfortunately on the second day I received a message through the AirBnb app from Ben asking us to vacate the property within 3 hours as his housemate, who's room we were staying in, was returning and he needed the room back. Finding Ben's flat was particularly difficult as Ben specified we should meet him at the University campus between a specific time rather than (EMAIL HIDDEN)munication with Ben was not brilliant, but we did eventually find Ben after 20 minutes. The flat itself was on a quiet secluded road and within walking distance to local amenities. The bathroom was not the cleanest, but it was liveable.

Kate and Cory were very friendly and welcoming. They have a great sense of the true Oxford beneath the tourism experience. I loved the cottage, and it moving between the bathroom and the cottage is very easy (the doors face each other, about one step's distance apart). The only downside is that the bathroom does not have a shower (it does, of course, have a sink and toilet, which are clean and the bathroom itself is clean and nice).

Beautiful neighborhood minutes away from busy areas full of restaurants and pubs and a bus stop right in front. Kate was extremely helpful and made us feel so welcome! Great to communicate with her and available for us if any questions. Not to mention the lovely pastries with jams, butter and coffee in the morning! We've done Airbnb for some time now and it's lifting when hosts really open their home up to you like Kate and Cory did. We would recommend their place 100%.

Probably our favorite Airbnb stay so far. Kate and Cory's place is in a lovely neighborhood—the back gate opens into a park with a view of Oxford rooftops down the hill. The room was charming, with vases of fresh blooms, little brass armadillos, and tea set up on the dresser. It was an easy walk from town after spending the day out and about. Our hosts could not have been more welcoming, whether bringing us a tray of coffee and croissants in the morning or letting us use their shower (there is a private bathroom across from the room, but the shower is in the main house). Bonus points for motley animals & delightful offspring.

Debbie and Tom were wonderful hosts and we would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone interested in visiting Oxford. In fact, they took us in just two days before we were supposed to arrive in Oxford, after another host had cancelled a reservation we had made more than two months earlier (which took me totally by surprise and threatened to derail our trip). Debbie immediately called me to reassure me that she and Tom would honor our reservation with them and that we did not need to worry about the possibility of cancellation. When we arrived she went out of her way to make us feel welcome in their home, and even drove us to a meeting in the city center one morning. We were delighted to meet Debbie and Tom and spend some time with them over breakfast each morning, but also had complete privacy in our room upstairs, which was spotless and very comfortable. Meeting the Noes was a delightful part of our trip and we're very grateful for their hospitality.

Her home is absolutely beautiful, the location in Oxford is central, convenient, and serene, the private floor just as described, and I really couldn't imagine having a more gracious host than Debbie. Lovely, quiet, uncluttered top-floor rooms looking out onto hill-top pine trees. Simple, elegant and well-furnished. Impeccably clean and comfortable. An easy and pleasant walk to the city centre (or there were frequent buses). Informed and warm-hearted hosts who went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, who gave us great recommendations and suggestions and who helped us to discover parts of Oxford we never would otherwise have seen. Oh, that's not even mentioning the gym and garden which we never got around to using. Difficult to know what else to add: it was a perfect place to stay.

What an absolutely wonderful stay we had with Debbie and her family! We had gathered from the earlier reviews that we would be made to feel very welcome but we could never have imagined the lengths Debbie would have gone to to make our trip super special and memorable. We were totally awed by Oxford and loved the insiders experience that Debbie gave us on the magical historic city that is, but it was Debbies warmth and personality that really made our trip so special. We have a young baby boy and she couldn't have been sweeter with him, he adored her! As did we, she is a very special person. There is no question that we will be back and we couldn't recommend staying with Debbie more highly. Really warm and comfortable house and a great location too. All in all five stars plus!

Reaĺly comfortable and convenient place to stay. Simple, clean, stylish light-filled accommodation. I had the flu during my stay and was coughing a lot in the evening. The host didn't say anything though I am sure I was keeping the household awake at night. I thought it was exceptionally kind not to even mention it.

Sarah's place is two mins from Cowley Road, which has a great number of restaurants, pubs, etc, and is a very pleasant 20 min walk to the heart of the city. It is also very well serviced by public transport. The room is fantastic, very nicely decorated, and has a large ensuite bathroom as well. Sarah and her family are very friendly, are great hosts, and I would recommend staying with them.

I stayed in Sarah's house as I needed somewhere close to Oxford Brookes for a few days. The accommodation is a very clean double bedroom with an adjoining private bathroom. The house is quiet and the neighbourhood is pretty quiet (the room does face on to a fairly busy road - however this did not affect my sleep). The house is about 15 mins to Oxford Brookes and a 5 min walk to Cowley Road which has lots of reasonably priced bars and restaurants. Sarah was friendly and approachable. I look forward to staying here next time I need to visit Brookes!

Great flat that is in a quiet neighbourhood. Very comfortable beds and it had everything we needed! Floor heating in living room was lovely but the rest of the flat was a little chilly (not a problem, though).

Martin was warm and friendly. He gave us some guide books and explained how to get to various places. He gave us a wonderful breakfast in the morning, and even cooked me an egg from one of his hens. The rooms were very clean, quiet, and spacious. For such a reasonable price it is a very nice place to stay in Oxford.

We had a lovely stay at Martin's house. His house was beautiful and interesting from the outside to the inside. We were in Oxford meeting up with family and he made our stay very relaxed and we felt very welcome. Martin made us a glorious breakfast using the eggs from the hens in his garden. Our 20 month old daughter had a wonderful time in the garden chatting to the hens and thoroughly enjoyed her stay as much as we did. We would definitely recommend Martin as an airbnb host.

We had a wonderful time staying with Martin who was a great host. The room was clean & comfortable, the hens friendly enough, and breakfast very tasty - freshly picked loganberries to top the muesli were the highlight.

Martin lived in the home is a great experience. This is a beautiful Victorian building, well-furnished room, such as the door of a wall are family photos, there are a lot of Chinese elements decorations. Kitchen restaurant is very idyllic, breakfast omelette Martin will give us personally, we were eating breakfast and chatting, very happy time. He still provide maps, bus schedules and other information enthusiastically! Overall highly recommended :)

Martin has a lovely home and we were very comfortable in our room, we stayed two nights and after busy days exploring oxford, it was great to return to a comfy bed for a good night's rest. A tasty healthy breakfast was provided on both mornings. Not too far from the old town centre, we managed to walk pretty much everywhere and Martin provided a map and a few quirky guide books. We had a delightful stay at Martin's lovely house, enjoyed meeting Beyonce, Lady Gaga and Adele and eating their eggs for breakfast. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. Martin was a mine of information and great fun to have a chat with. I would definitely recommend this place, within walking distance of the centre.

We had a great stay in Oxford. Martin’s house is very well situated in a lovely neighbourhood. The Cowley Road is fantastic, vivid and offers a lot of delicious vegetarian food. It was not a problem that we could not use the kitchen to cook meals because Cowley road offered the most delicious lebanese food! The city centre is in walking distance (15-20 minutes) and there is also an excellent bus service. The location is also perfect for an early morning run (for example to the Thames river)!

I stayed in this apartment with my two children, the accommodation was walking distance from Oxford Old Road Campus and Headington School, where we had to go every day. Perfect location, near the bus stop to central Oxford and very close to Headington stores, 5 supermarkets around! Juan was always very kind, even making jokes to my kids. Just Brilliant, definitely will be my place in Oxford in my following visits!
